Second and twenty, and we leave the deep ball wide open.

I know the guy fell down, but that shouldn't matter. Deep ball on second and long, with STEVE SMITH running the sideline route... where on earth is the help?
The Help is injured.

So we trade touchdowns with them in the third quarter.

We will lose this game if we don't find a way to slow Steve Smith down. It won't matter how well Grossman plays; after all the talk, our defense is threatening to lose this for us.

Thats how i felt yesterday with the hawks. After a year where the offense has been great, the defense Ok, and the special teams more then serviceable, the special teams almost served up a full course meal to the skins along with the running backs/

So, the penalty's assessed before Jones lost the ball, so what are the two possible outcomes of the review?

Touchdown, or what?

Bears first and goal from the facemask penalty? Or do the Panthers get the ball with a touchback, and lose fifteen yards from the penalty and start on their own five?
Wait, what break?
The break of having a facemask penalty precede our handing the opposition a touchback, by a fraction of a second.

Otherwise we don't score, and Carolina starts to sit on the clock for the win.

Hey don't forget the Pittsburgh game. They could fumble and then the bears could wiff it on the 2 point conversion.

Barring some sort of miracle, that's our season.

I'm still proud of what we were able to do this year; with Green Bay's stranglehold on the NFC North officially over, this is a great building block for next year.

Yes, it's the "wait until next year" speech already. Bears fandom has a way of honing one's sense of delayed gratification. Twenty-one years and counting...
Ya , seriously, just like the seahawks with the piss poor playoff luck there. a 13 yard punt?????
But they won. Take that!
