The old Sears clearance thread was almost a year old, so I've taken the liberty of creating this one. I went back and wrote down the drops and lowest reported prices so far for all of 2007. The games may ring up more or less for you as prices are YMMV (your mileage may vary). The games should ring up at some sort of clearance price at every Sears store that carries games. They may not be tagged on clearance at your store, so you should have them scanned to find out what they ring up as. My local Sears rarely tags the clearance games, so I have to refer to this list. Games drop out of the system about a month after they hit $0.97.

Some clearance games at Sears were restocked over the holidays with new UPC stickers over the original UPC. These are ringing up $9.99-$19.99 as marked for now.

These prices are good at Sears, Sears Essentials, and Sears Grand stores.

Lowest reported prices (games may ring up less or more at your store):

If you have a new game or lower price to list, post it here and I'll update the OP periodically. Even if a game is only a few dollars off, please report it here. The price WILL drop on a regular basis. When reporting a price, please give us the game title AND system.

Here's a link to the old thread: http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=103736

In my experience, the list of clearance games at Sears isn't YMMV, but the specific clearance prices are (prices drop at different speeds at different stores. Also, people keep complaining that the clearance games are ringing up $15-20 at their stores. If they would actually read this post, they'd know that's because those are restocked holiday games with new UPC tags. The old stock of those games should still ring up on clearance if you can find them.

And because people can't read, I'll say it again:

PRICES ARE ALL YMMV!
PRICES ARE ALL YMMV!
PRICES ARE ALL YMMV!
I checked another Sears today for Gamecube systems. They had two non bundle systems in stock but both rang up $99.

I went to a different Sears yesterday and the worker there said the Gamecubes have been clearanced for about $26 but they had sold them all. I think the Gamecubes clearanced may have been the Metroid or Mario Kart bundles.
I checked the mario kart and metroid bundles that are in my area...still $99. However, there are quite a few cube bundles out there (Pokemon XD, Mario Party 7 come to mind) it's probably just a matter of finding the right one, or maybe the clearance is on the purple systems, which I never see anymore.

I saw a big stack of Oblivion (360) with "Zero Value" stickers on them. I took one to the register and surprisingly the guy said they were out of the system and couldn't sell one to me.

Some of you guys may be able to work some voodoo magic or something and score one for cheap.

Good luck.

The Sears in St. Peters, MO, had a lot of games in the bin, but only a few of them were discounted. I did see Geist (GCN) for $1, one of the retro game compilations for the Xbox for $3, and a couple of other clearanced items. Most everything else was MSRP, though.

Geist was so darned cheap I almost picked it up... even though I had previously bought it, beaten it, and sold it. But, man, for a buck...!

today i got

ddr extreme bundle $34.97 ps2
armed & dangerous $3.97 xbox
harry potter quidditch $3.97 gamecube

also saw

blinx 2 $7.97 xbox
ultimate spiderman $11.97 xbox

mgs 3 sub. 30bucks at my sears and with no online support, which will end on april 2nd. guess i'll wait for metal gear 4 for online. i wonder if mgs 4 for the ps3 online will last more then one year? i hope so.

Thanks for reporting those in the proper format. Some of these games I have no idea what system they're for when people don't post it, especially the games that are available on multiple systems.

Nice to see the DDR Bundle is finally on clearance, I hope it keeps dropping in price since I don't need the pad (I have a Cobalt Flux) but wouldn't mind getting the game for under $15.

Tell me about it!

I bought Super Mario Advance 4 (GBA) for $7.97 (marked down from OP's $17.97) and got a Sears $5-off coupon. I used it to get Kirby Canvas Curse (DS) for $15.

There were some Micros in the glass case and when I asked the cashier to check the price on a "Gameboy Micro," he grabbed a DS Lite. :whistle2:# lol.

Micros (with extra faceplates) were still at about $50.

anybody spot any copies of Shadow of the Colossus or Hot shots Golf Fore for ps2 on clearance? I saw shadow in with the rest of their clearanced games but didn't see a price tag on it, but didn't ask what the price was

I have noticed they are putting almost any game that is $19.99 or less in the clearance bins. So, more than likely they were still $20, cause I haven't seen them for less at any of my local Sears.

Yeah same at my Sears. Shadow of The Colossus is still $20.00 though. I checked. Great game anyway.

Stopped by Sears today and spotted a few new additions/drops in the clearance bin.

DS: Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time - $19.97
GBA: Mario Kart: Super Circuit - $9.97
PS2: Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory - $12.97

I didn't have time to sift through everything, so I may have missed some others.

mega man anniversary collection xbox price marked $14.99 rang up $11.99
xbox live 3 month starter kit was out of the system.

I spotted one copy of paper mario tyd and street fighter anniversary collection xbox I will wait until the price drops to the $7.97 range before biting it is risky but I am cheap lol. Another sears store had SFAC xbox it was gone when I went yesterday.

I might have pick up Mario Kart Super Circuit for $10. There is one copy in my house but I'd like my own I can leave in my DS case.

Employees were putting up Sears Days our biggest sale of the season every department signs. I did not have time to go in and check for any new drops.

Xbox 360 Core - $210 if your Sears has any. I don't even know if that's worth the price considering it doesn't come with a HDD, HD Cables, or a Headset. Also price may ring up lower since I didn't get it scanned I just saw that's what it was marked at (the display box) when I asked for a price check on the core 360's the guy told me he had none and that the premiums were $399.99. Also I didn't notice any spectacular clearance prices. There may have been some drops... but nothing stuck out and I looked around pretty good.

^$210 for a 300 dollar system is pretty good...but i don't know if I'd do it either, accesories and whatnot would make it much more

Does this mean that stores are going to clearance out the Core system?

Now if only there was a way to play old Xbox games without a harddrive. Been wanting to play Xbox games only, but do not wish to take the gamble of picking up a used Xbox from GS/EB/GR. I really wish MS would get the backwards compatibility list going again.

Hmm... So, a core for 210. I have a $100 gift card coming from Amazon. So I can get oine of the new 120 Gig HD's for $80 after GC. Then I can probably get third party HD cables for $15 shipped. It wouldn't be HDMI. but I could get the VGA cables and make sure either my TV has a VGA in or get the component cables instead. That would be $305. Add a wireless controller and that would make it about $350.

Hmm... I might as well get an elite for $380 after my $100 giftcard.

For those thinking of the 210 core deal, if you have a closing Compusa near you, you could check there for accessories which in Atlanta are 25% off. There are lots of HDs, cables, and headsets at all of my CUSAs.

Wow 210? I just bought a core for $240 and thought that was a deal. I already have combo PS2/PS3/360 HDcables and got a HDD from CC for 61 after coupon and 24hr missed guarantee and an extension cord. So for ~320 I got all the function of a premium (IMO). Wish I could have had this instead, but I'm still happy with my choice.

Was able to pick up a copy of Fire Emblem GC for $15 last weekend... I know that's the "new" MSRP, but it looks like most copies have evaporated at that price and its getting HTF

Should I go ahead and purchase Street Fighter Anniversary Collection xbox at $11.99?

There is not a store close enough to me thanks anyway.
Checkout Game Rush BB they have Street Fighter Anniversary Collection (XBOX) for $10
Well, I rang up DDR Extreme bundle for PS2... full price :(

Can anyone else confirm $29.99?

Also, I should've checked, but does anyone know how much FFIV for GBA is?

I managed to find

Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance for the GC $14.99
and my favorite, God of War 1 NON-GH for the PS2!!! (ive been looking for it for awhile finally found it!)

btw how much are the gameboy micro's now? saw a few but didnt bother

Rang up $59.99 for me at the Sears in Joplin, Missouri. I wasn't too happy about it.

Some price drops on 'newer' Clearance games:

:ds:
Magnetica $19.97
Mario/Luigi: Partners in Time $19.97
Nintendogs Chihuahua: $21.97*

*I'd assume all versions of Nintendogs but Dalmation would be the same price as well

Nice, I hope Magnetica gets to under $10 soon. Unfortunately, it seems every Sears I go to now has the correctly tagged prices as opposed to prices usually 2 - 4 months out of date so clearance games have a better chance of selling now before they get to really great CAG type prices.

Does anyone know if GUN for Gamecube has been clearanced?

There was one at mine in a case, but tag said 29.99.

Also, there was a Fire Emblem there a few days ago as well. I know a lot of people look for this one, so I could possibly help out next time i go back.
anyone else can confirm the core 360 for $210? im about to go there sometime today.
Please confirm if you went and found one at this price.
Please confirm if you went and found one at this price.
went to 4 sears and could not find a core system . im willing to take on 2 or 3 more sears before giving up.

don't even bother to call. they are idiots. i called the sears in white plains ny and they said they have them for $199. im thinking maybe they have a different price.. went there.. to my surprise they didnt have any. i wish i would have gotten the name of the person, cause they will honor the price if you remember who you spoke to. and half the time the other stores dont even know what the hell im talking about.

edit: btw how much is tales of phantasia for the gba? i saw one at one of the stores i went to.
edit: btw how much is tales of phantasia for the gba? i saw one at one of the stores i went to.
