Haters will tell you the sequels aren't good and/or funny, because Smokey ain't in them, but they are very funny. I would say that I laughed more watching Next Friday than the first.

I'm also suprised to hear you watched it after San Andreas. I've been watching it since I was 10.

Man I'm fuckin bored...

Does anyone know when the next fighting game is coming out for the 360? Or are we just gonna have to suffer with only DOA4?

Street Fighter 2 and UMK3 are still around. The next one is probably Fatal Fury for the Arcade.
I'd go with the L6 Frisky. Actually, my plan is up and I have a shitty phone. Maybe I really should go with the L6. :whistle2:k

I've heard good things abour the L6 except that sometimes it's hard tio use the buttons and I personaly prefer flip phones.
Thanks for the replies. I guess I will go for the L6, so I should have it when I head back home in two weeks. So I guess I'll post more about the new phone when I get it.

I wish buy.com wasn't charging 6 bucks to ship a damn points card. I need to get a couple more for SOTN and FF as I think they are coming out fairly soon (aren't they scheduled for Jan).

I forgot SotN was so close to release.

I think they are both scheduled for January, but who knows when they will be released.
I just hope it doesn't cost more than 800 points.
Probably will.

I've never played it, so I'll probably get in on XBLA.

Also, Robo-Blitz' pricepoint stunned the shit out of me.

I think I am going to grab another one of the fatality mice at buy.com. They have a new rebate offer and a penny after rebate and google coupon is a really good deal.
I just hope it doesn't cost more than 800 points.
You're delusional if you think it'll be anything less than 1600.

People are spending upwards of $45 - $50 for the game on Ebay... MS can charge the full 1600 points and it's STILL a deal, espically since the game will be in 480p

When they hell did the game shoot up in price like that? I remember people getting it for like 10 bucks.

There is no way anything that comes out in the arcade would be worth 1600 points IMO . The only two things that might come close would be mark of the wolves or third strike.
... What the fuck is with this latest RAZR commercial with the gaffot locking lips with his phone? Jesus. :puke:
That just reminded me of the Virgin Mobile Gay Elf.

"What, you don't think they let furries in the NRA?"

At least the elf isn't about to dry hump his cellphone. :(

Was refering to acutal games you can get in a store or online, not XBLA games. Though I would get Fatal Fury.

Just been wondering that since its been a while since I've played DOA4 and remember that it gets kinda cheap. That and I picked up Tekken 5 for 14 bucks at CC (fuckin finally!). I'd play DOA4 more if my room mate didn't hate the series with a passion. To him, the game moves slower than he can input moves and shit. Shit, I've had DOAU for nearly 2 years and its been a year and a half since I've even played it...

What the hell? AIM, for whatever reason, completely changed when I restarted my PC after it froze. It has this stupid bar on the left side telling me to upgrade and I have literally no access to any preferences when I tried to see if I could get rid of it. Anybody else's AIM doing this?

MS is stupid if they would let it go for anything less than 1600... SOTN is alot more in demand than Mark of the Wolves or Third Strike, by far. The price spike has been there on SOTN for awhile now... people were getting it at Blockbuster for $10 a long time ago, when BB was clearing out inventory. I had sold a used non GH one recently for $50ish... even GH ones command a good price.

MS can easily say "Oh, you don't like $20 for SOTN? Go buy a non 480p version on your Playstation for $50".

If anything, it'll be 1200, but I wouldn't be surprised to see them charge the full 1600 since this is a real game, and not like a ported arcade game or a 2 hour live single player original.

They are fully justified to do it, and people will still buy it up. Even at 1600 I would buy a points card INSTANTLY because 480p SotN will be the most amazing thing in the world.

You probably picked up the wrong system for fighters. The PS3 will get a bunch, like VF5 in the spring, Tekken 6 sometime next year, and Soul Calibur IV whenever that gets announced. I would guess that the next Mortal Kombat would be the next 360 fighter, though we know nothing about it.

Yeah, I know that all ready really. If I could afford it, I would definatly get a PS3. I do have a $150 gift card from BB that came with a receiver I got as an early xmas present on BF, but thats still at least 350 shy of even a 20 gig model...

If Namco is really struggling for sales and has to hit some kind of 500,000 games sold number again, I really wouldn't be surprised to see Tekken and Soul Calibur head to 360 as well. We're living in an age where anything could happen now.

I wouldn't write it off until Namco themselves came out and said Tekken 6 was PS3 exclusive and there is never ever any plans to port it... right now it's just kind of been announced.

It's sad nobody deals with the 360 for fighters since Live is so awesome.

What kills me is that outside of MK: D, MK:A and DOAU there is no body to play against online in fighting games for original xbox. I'd be so down for playing some SF:AC on Live. Of course i could always set up some games with GuilewasNK. Speaking of which, I've yet to play him and we've spoken about it a couple of times

Only online fighting games that even come to mind for PS2 is MK: D and MK:A...

The thing is that Namco doesn't really change their mind about what they're releasing their games on. The platform they announce it for is the platform it stays on. Plus, Tekken and Soul Calibur are bigger franchises than Ridge Racer and Gundam, so it'd be easier to reach whatever plateau that they'd need to be making money. For a Japanese developer like Namco, the 360 isn't that good of an option for them.

Lag is a huge problem for fighting games, so I'm not surprised to not see anyone bothering to do it. DOAU was laggy for me when I played on there, even to the point where it would randomly freeze and I'd have to restart and log back on. It's the reason why even GHII will most likely not be only when it comes to the 360, just microtransaction stuff.

I dunno DoA4 seemed to pull off online pretty damn well so its not a foregone conclusion that Live isn't fast enough for it.

Yea, agreed. The only game that really couldn't do online at all is Virtua Fighter since everything is very very frame specific.

Soul Calibur and Tekken have alot of leeway when it comes to that stuff. If DoA 4 can go online, I know those two series could as well.

VF5 is the only reason I've seen to own a PS3 so far. And without any friends who are into the VF series, I don't anticipate getting my money's worth out of that one.

Maybe I'll pick up a PS3 around 2009. :whistle2:k

Is there any word that Tekken 5: DR is gonna be online when it hits the PS3?

I think the time has come. I've run away long enough. This weekend...I'm going to master the pierogi. I won't have my failure to make them in the past haunting me any longer.

I'm not saying it's not fast enough. It's just not perfect, which developers really want to start offering online play.

Let the dough rest and for God sakes don't over fill them. Like, a table spoon.
I heard something about each PS3 game installing at least something to the hard drive the first time its played. Did that end up being true?
Yeah, you can choose to install a game to the hard drive and it cuts down load times to a few seconds.

Yeah. Shaving testicles is a little nerve-racking.

I'm talking about shaving the testicles of others.
