Tecmo and Constantin Film announced today that Hong Kong director Cory Yuen (Director of The Transporter, Martial Arts Choreographer for Lethal Weapon 4 and Romeo Must Die) has begun shooting Dead Or Alive, a live-action feature film based on Tecmo's Dead or Alive series. The shoot is taking place on location in The Yuzi Paradise, Guilin and in The Zhejiang Hengdian World Studios China for Impact Pictures, a subsidiary of Germany’s leading independent production and distribution company Constantin Film. The film will complete principal photography in Hong Kong.
The movie stars Jaime Pressly (Not Another Teen Movie), International pop star Holly Valance (soon appearing in National Lampoon’s Pledge This), Devon Aoki (Sin City, 2 Fast 2 Furious), Sarah Carter (Final Destination 2), Kane Kosugi (Godzilla: Final Wars), Natassia Malthe (Elektra), Matthew Marsden (Black Hawk Down) and Eric Roberts (National Security, Spun).

Producer Jeremy Bolt says, “It is extremely exciting to be working here in China and at the Hengdian World Studios where Jet Li filmed Hero. Our locations are epic, and the local crews and stunt teams are simply remarkable. We feel lucky to be here, and Cory Yuen has done an astonishing job in training our cast. The action sequences are truly awesome.”
The script has been written by J.F. Lawton (Under Siege, Pretty Woman), Adam & Seth Gross (Devour), and Granz Henman (Knallharte Jungs). Jeremy Bolt and Paul W.S. Anderson, founding partners of Impact Pictures are producing with Robert Kulzer, Head of Production at Constantin in Los Angeles, Bernd Eichinger of Constantin, and Mark Altman of Mindfire Entertainment. Andreas Schmid, Andreas Grosch, Steve Chasman of Current Entertainment and Dan Kletzky of Entertainment Licensing are executive producers. Summit Entertainment is handling international sales and distribution.

Well this cast really does make up for what the script was going to be about. I'm still hopeing that the script is changed and goes close to being like the actual game. I'm very happy with the casting, Kasumi, Helena, Tina, Bass, Ryu, Zack all perfect. and Natassia Malthe as Ayane
Kind of bumbed out that Hitomi and Lei Fang didn't get in it. =/
Heres hopeing this turns out to be a decent movie.
