I hit Arden over the weekend to scout it out...I found jack squat, so I wasn't about to waste my time going back. I live on the Citrus Heights/ Roseville side of town, so was not about to venture all the way to Elk Grove, esp with that weather today. I wanted to check Roseville, but a friend of mine checked it out over the weekend and said they didn't have much of anything on the list...certainly nothing worthwhile.
 
yea i live off sunrise/sunset. While roseville didnt have anything from the sale they did have a few Wiis in stock and a shitload of nunchuks, which was surprising to see. I already knew our BBs were gonna suck though :(

I know it's been mentioned but it bears repeating-- check Pricegrabber for the $5 rebate! Many of the games are too old, but I actually just found 4 of the games I bought today (plus GTA:VCS for the PSP) have the $5 rebate. So I'm going to get $20 back on my $40 purchase.

I have used Pricegrabber rebates on the TrU B2G1 free sales (on the free game) and it does come.. so I doubt they'll care you're getting $5 from them on a $1.99 game.

Where did you find the missing SKU number for GTA SA? I was at the santana row BB today and found a greatest hits SA, but I asked the lady to price check and it came up full price...that sku number would've helped..it's probably gone by now lol

I should bring the printed list of the games on sale next time so I got somethin to work with lol
 
biggest bullshit sale ever none of the titles available ,at any michigan stores went to abot 6 locations and called about 24 and all said we do not have any titles at all ,do not waste youre gas bullshit sale

ahh I'm glad I didn't go up north it was pouring! but yea Elk Grove had nada..the only thing that was there was 007 and some sport junkies left.
 
only games I saw (at BB in Astoria Queens,NY) were samurai champ (i tihnk that was on the list) and romancing saga which i decided not to pick up ...funny thing is,I was the only person in the vidoe game section at 10am on monday so either someone cleaned out on sunday,employees raid it,or they just didnt have anything to begin with.....

The cashier offered to get out the very same list that brazilliankid posted pics of, and I located San Andreas there, along with its SKU. If it helps for locating it on the list, the publishing company listed isn't Rockstar, but instead is "Jack of all Games FR."

We got there at about 10:30am and there were already about 3-4 people searching around with lists printed off from various forums. XD I even got asked by one guy if I was from SD or FW. :p Bleh~~ (

Its on this page about a third of the way down. Like Darkserge, the publisher is listed as "Jack of All Games." I'm thinking about going back tomorrow and asking them to check the SKU on their list against the SKU on GTA: SA.

Well yesterday I went to the BB by the Eastgate mall and I was first in line at about 9:55AM am, there was about 5-8 people in line behind me. Our BB had a horrible selection of games in stock, but I managed to get:

3 copies of Marc Ecko's Getting Up (XBX)
1 Soul Caliber II (XBX)
1 Namco Museum 50th anniversary (GBA)

And thats all! There was a BB employee that actually printed out the list while we were there and that helped me and a couple other customers find a couple games we might have otherwise overlooked.
 
I didnt get much, except for a prince of persia game. But I totally thank cag for even letting me know this exists. I've had a complete adrenline high since I saw the list saturday.

Quit your whining just because you struck out in your area... This was very YMMV depending on how many of these titles your store had. It wasn't BS, some just had more luck with it than others. Some CAGers made out pretty well yesterday. I was not one of the lucky ones as my store had nothing but that's the way it goes. I appreciate the OP for sharing the info with us and Cheapy D for creating this site that gives all of us at least the chance at snagging awesome deals.

Most games I will re-sell on ebay or trade in to EB for store Credit and 1 copy of Oblivion I will trade in at Walmart as new for full price.

Basically I bought them all I could find put them on my Best Buy Credit card for teh Reward Points

and on Monday I will swoop in for a Return Rebuy slash Pricematch

the secret is copy down the SKU's most games were in the back.

I spent over $300 after PM maybe $50 after Resale on EBay or Store Credits over $600 to me

spend $50 get back $600 for a little hard work it pays off

AT these prices $1.99 Best Buy can be my permamnet ebay store supplier.



#1. The secret is don't be picky buy all the PSP GBA PS2 Xbox games you can find

Checking in from Wyomissing, PA. Cleaned out except for some of the end cap games (Nanobreaker, anyone?). Fortunately I was walking by the Notebook Computers and noticed the Laptop I bought 3 weeks ago dropped $150, so I was able to get it price adjusted. First BB sale I ever made money on...even if it was my own...heh!
 
I did alright yesterday after going to 3 different BB's. I was able to pick up:

Tomb Raider PSP - $9.99
Monster Hunter PSP - $9.99
Ridge Racer PSP - $4.99
Castlevania DOS - $9.99

The Oblivian CE rang up $59.99......Major disapointment.
 
I left later in the day, so I didn't really get anything. The BB in Rockaway, NJ had a few games, but nothing really that good. For anyone interested, they did have a few copies of San Andreas and Katamari, but besides sports titles, I don't think they had anything else on the list (not sure though, since my printer ran out of ink magically the second after I printed the GC List - so I only had a page and a half of the games to go by).
 
I'm glad I went to the other BB. They still had some games at 8:10pm. I scored :

Ultimate Ghosts & Goblins 4.99
Lumines 4.99
DBZ Shin Budokai 9.99

combined with $15 reward zone certificates, I came out ahead. $5 for three games? Coo guy!!!
 
The sad thing is that hoarders and fat wallets will be scouring this site more frequently for a week or better now because of this sale. These type of people sicken me as they take away from TRUE CAG's who just want to buy cheap games for personal entertainment.

I went to 3 BB locations in Milwaukee, WI and was able to get,
Feel the magic (DS)
Mario & luigi (GBA)
Sigma Star Saga (GBA)
In all im happy it cost me $12 for 3 games but still kind of bummed I really wanted to snag a copy of Advanced Wars DS and Trace Memory........
Anyone know if this was a monday only sale or is this going till there gone..
(Wonder if there will be any more restocking from there warehouses to clear this stuff out)

Reasons like this are why if i can't get there for when the store opens the first day of the sale i don't even bother going. I had this happen at CC when they blew out a ton of games last year for $8 each. Some guy had a giant box with 90% of the clearance games and the CC manager didn't even care. I am not sure when it became reasonable to buy 200 video games many of which were multiple copies of the same thing but ehhh. Stupid fucking fat wallet ebay whores.

Yeah I was there, I didn't see much. I was at the East Hanover, NJ Best Buy also...nothing there. Then I went to Totowa BB and there I found the mother load!

I went to the one in E. Brunswick, NJ last night. The place was completely gutted. I knew better, but thought "hey, why not?" Nothing of note at all.
 
I went to the Fredericksburg BB in Central Park yesterday, nothing left after the games I bought except for 3 Madden 2005's for Gamecube.

Full Auto

Just curious. I want to rationalize not making the effort after work yesterday, and I figured they'd be gone by then, if they were around at all.
 
Did anybody notice that some of the games on the list were priced wrong? One Piece Grand Adventure was priced 4.99 on the list, but I only paid 1.99.
 
My Best Buy, some college age kids walked in and picked up like eight copies of Full Auto for the 360 and employee came up to him and said "Sorry there is a limit to one per customer."

P.S. As you could notice from what I just said, they had like 10 copies of Full Auto at the time of opening yesterday.

I should went to that after hours sale on Sunday(25th) @ 8pm, After reading
this posting of great games I went to my local BB, there was nothing on the
shelfs or dump bins. But, I did see alot of empty security jackets for the games
on a rack...sadly I count over 80 of them. Damnit !! I will not let that pass me
again.
