its kind of like where is this show going u know..i mean hes suposed to be in college yet hes never there lol how much between time can there be between now and when he becomes superman and it all ends..im willing to bet next season will be the last. Without a doubt hes gonna be flying full time when they come back.

As for tonights episode yeah that was cheap one minute hes feeling evil and the next hes zod and talks the exact same lol didnt work well.

Im guessing lex's dad is going to free clark somehow I did like how he got banished into the floating mirror like the movie.
They wont put him in the superman costume cause it goes against the movie franchise having two actors doing the same role one on network tv one in major money making movies? yeah right thats like throwing millions away.

Ideally, Lobo will come across Clark, find a way to release him, and they will return to earth to kick a lot of ass.

Clark is a total pussy, though.
notice how clark always wear the red jacket. This episode they got the jacket and the deep blue t shirt. Superman colors. To show he's becoming Superman more and more.
If you go back and watch, Clark has always had a strong penchant for wearing red and blue. It's not just suddenly started.

Worst season ender of the series by far. Good season overall but the finale sucked.

It may or may not have been mentioned anywhere in this thread but there are no plans to ever have this show end up with clark turning full blown into superman and wearing the outfit. At least thats my understanding.

My only question as far as the finale went, is why did Clark throwing the dagger at Spi...I mean Fine release Zod? I may have missed something, but that didn't make any sense to me.

Fine was the physical manifestation of the black ship's computer, and black usually represents death or some ill omen. My guess is that the ship was the portal, and destroying it released him from his prison.

I think they just ran out of ideas, I really hate there to be continues, they have all this rediculous stuff happen at the end every season and it all magically gets worked out at the begining of the following season and everyone important manages to live

I've had a crazy idea though regarding how stabbing Fine with the dagger unleashed Zod. What if, and this is most likely entirely wrong, that was never Jor-El talking to Clark through the Fortress? What if it was really Zod, working on some way to release himself? It'd make sense considering it WAS Terrence Stamp doing Jor-El's voice. I would love for next season at some point to here Stamp's voice come out of Lex's mouth. Especially if he says "Kneel before Zod" to Lana dammit!

Nah, its been Terrence Stamp's voice all along. If he could turn back time a day to save Lana , I don't think he'd have much trouble getting out of the P-zone.

I've been on a Smallville addiction the past two months. I've watched all five seasons within that timeframe and finished the season five finale this afternoon. Damn, this show is good.

On the Lex/Zod front, I think it's pretty clear that Clark will somehow banish Zod from Lex's body, because Lex has to become evil Lex, correct?

I'm just wondering how Clark is going to make it back this time. I wonder if it's going to be a combined effort from Jonathon and Jor-El or someone totally new doing it.

From kryptonsite forums:

For those who are familiar with the superman comics, there exists a character called the Eradicator. Like Braniac, he was an Artificial Intelligence programmed by Jor-El to aid Kal-El should a time ever come that his life was in danger. It is my theory, that as Jor-El said, “Lionel became a vessel for kryptonian knowledge”, the Eradicator program was instilled in him. When Lionel was scratching Zod’s symbol into the floor in the season opener when he told Lana how to stop the disciples of Zod, when Clark died as a mortal and Lionel broke out of the mental hospital with superpowers to save him, when Lionel has seizures and writes Kryptonian warnings, and finally when Lionel “eradicates” the forms of Brainiac, each of those times Lionel is being controlled by the Eradicator program, not Jor-El. Want proof? Fine. The ONLY time when we definitely know that Jor-El was in Lionel’s body was in the fortress after Clark was brought back to life. At that time, Jor-El spoke fluently and had normal eyes. When Lionel “eradicated” the copy of Brainiac in the barn, as well as EVERY other time he writes or rambles about Zod, his eyes go white and Kryptonian data streams go through his eyes. In the comics, the eradicator character has WHITE eyes, and is a computer program. The eradicator can also use superpowers just like Kal-El. It makes perfect sense and could even be how Clark escapes the phantom zone i.e.:Clark gets sucked into the phantom zone, the Eradicator program senses Kal-El in danger, activates in Lionel, he flies into space, shatters the glass, and brings him back to earth.

Pretty interesting theory, eh?
Discuss, biotches!!!!
I think Chloe is going to hack into the nuclear program in Iran and launch a missile to free Clark.

I kind of think its going to have something to do with Lionel or possibly the combined forces of Jor-El and Jonathon.

Or Clark is somehow able to free himself, same as Zod and his goons in the 2nd movie.

I think they got free in 2nd movie because of that nuke Supe saved Paris from
I think Chloe is going to make the "Chloe face" and free clark at the cost of her life.
Thats a good idea, except the Chloe face,

Because she is a made up, IIRC, for the show. So maybe her death will be the protaganist for Clark and Lois to work for the Daily Planet. Just my two cents.

here is some info about next season per tvguide.

Question: Any preseason scoop on Smallville? — Carrie
Ausiello: Holy Kryptonite, yes! For those of you who didn't see the Super prattle I posted yesterday in the Ausiello Report, Jimmy Olsen will make his eagerly anticipated debut in the season premiere, and he's going to look a lot like Veronica Mars' ex, Troy Vandegraff (aka, actor Aaron Ashmore). Additionally, several of my Super moles now confirm that Jimmy is definitely being eyed as a love interest for Chloe. Now, here's the other big news I teased about in AR: Sources say that a pivotal comic-book character will show up this season — and it's got "fanboy orgasm" written all over it. Can't say more, but expect an announcement very soon (like, perhaps, in next week's issue of TV Guide magazine).

While your logic is correct there wombat, there are a lot of bitches on these boards that cry about spoiler info. Take a look at the posters complaing about what I posted on the 24 message board. The only thing I edited after the scorch complaint was that it was for Season 6

Bruce Wayne is about the only one that would make a fanboy orgasm. Well him or Wonder Woman (whose name escapes me at the moment)

Good to see that they are bringing in Jimmy.

Diana Prince... or Price.

Anyone know why the Aquaman got canned? I see the pilot on Itunes for $2 worth it? I just wanted to see Alicia(Clark's dead ex-girlfriend who could teleport) again. "Maybe when can start a Junior Lifeguard Association or something" LOL

wooow you guys are keeping my Smallville rules topis alive throughout the summer I didn't even know....It sux that aquaman got canceled especially since Ving Rhames and Lou Diamond Phillips were in it. Does anyone remember the Lou Diamond Phillips show that got cancelled name Wolf Lake? It was on CBS and ran for a season. It wasn't really that bad had potential....we need a DVD box set of it.

First look at Green Arrow:

Smallville is coming, though it hasn't been announced yet, and it won't be out on the same day the DVD is released (September 12); The West Wing is not coming out (see separate news item). We'll post more information when the HD-DVD title is announced. Here's a scan of the HD-DVD page

Kinda weird that they would start out with season 5, unless all 5 seasons get released on the same day :whistle2:k

I think they are starting with the 5th season because technically it was probibly shot on higher quality cameras or HD cameras.. From a Marketing sense this would be a good idea because it would show off how really good the show looks on HD-DVD and will probibly give the studio time to remaster the earlier seasons for HD-DVD because they will need it.

Though i missed seeing the two seasons seasons, i know ive watched the past couple in Hi-Def - so, no. You should know this from stalking girls in Best Buy.

My 2 year old thread LIVES!!

Watch the season premiere now!!

First question...
anyone know if this "Kara" in the Phantom Zone will be supergirl?

ooo and that Green Arrow is a shitty looking costume they just gave that guy a job cause they felt sorry his aquaman series didn't get picked up. A Plus though is that hot ass girl from the aquaman pilot will be in smallville this year also.

Ok so second question...when the hell is the Birds of Prey DVD boxset coming

I think you got your answer to your question if you've been watching.

And what the hell is up with the shitload of commercials. I mean damn, a 5 minute spot of the show and then a commercial, rinse and repeat.

Well she came over with him from the PZ but they didn't answer if that was her. I'm guessing it will be. I thought Supergirl was his cousin. So how many came over through the portal did anyone count?

I'm prob just saying Kara in my mind since I'm 99.99% sure that is Supergirl's name in the comics but you are probably right it was probably Raya. Anyone hear the name clearly?

it was an alright episode, too many commercials

though next week episode
looks like every other episode they make, someone gets kidnapped and Clark has to save the day without revealing his secret or letting his secret get out

She was Pariah, a character that was important I believe in the Crisis on Infinite Earths. She has an entry on Wikipedia.
