Smallville Rules *Spoilers*

I think the easy part is due to the one hour show lol. Maybe if it was an hour and 30 mins, then i guess more action between them would of showed up. But i think even in 1 hour, they could of added a bit more action, so lets hope for the best in the next epsiode or others.
We all know clark ends up with lois so it kinda sux watching him and lana knowing its all BS.
I dont even think about that, when i see them 2 together. Even tho i am fully aware of the issues.
Lois is soooo fucking annoying. And kinda ugly IMO.
Hey , watch it now. No name calling, serious relax with that. I dont think she is annoying tho, kinda cool in my opinion. And what is IMO ?
Call him smallville one more time and I'm jumping through the tv.
Yea i will admit, thats annoying, i might jump through the tv too.
Hey , watch it now. No name calling, serious relax with that. I dont think she is annoying tho, kinda cool in my opinion. And what is IMO ?
IMO means "In My Opinion". A variation also exists in IMHO, or, "In My Humble Opinion".

here we are again......
episode 2

OK who can tell me who those 3 super villians were in the begining?
Are they even DC villians or made up for this episode?

ok my impressions of this episode

clark with no powers sux
lana and clark having sex felt forced
now that they got those 2 out of the way maybe we can move on

also read an interview with tom welling that states how he is always asking the creators to have a young bruce wayne appear. Ive been waiting on that rumor for 3 seasons. Tom is also directing a later episode this season. hope it doesn't suck.

Not all epsisodes are gonna be based on actualy DC villains and or characters. Its nice change of pace having him realize just how much his powers mean to him as well as what a responsibility they are. Granted he misses them now but at the same time doesnt since he's gonna finally be able to tap lana. I liked this episode since Clark got the info he needed to give Lex the ol' FU and smacked him around a bit and let Lex get that shot in to show he's "mortal"
ofg look at lana in the tight white titty tank
girl is fuckin cute as shit
True that but im still a sucker for Chloe.

Nice to see Lem from the shield in something else. He made a decent villian I thought

Interesting episode, I will admit I was hella surprised when it flashed to Clark beating up Lex... I thought at first it was like a dream sequence or something. Interesting how quickly their relationship is falling apart... I am particularly anticipating Lex's first "dark" move.

I was glad to see this their see sawing relationship was getting even more irritating than the back and forth between clark and lana. This season is really pushing things forward so far. I'd qualify letting those goons out as a dark move

Hmm I didn't think of that when typing the post. I did like Tom's accusation of him "putting Lana and his family in danger", apparently risking death. But I suppose Lex now has two apparent pieces of proof that Clark is but human. Though his, "that's not possible" whisper obviously implies what he really thinks.

Here's my thoughts on Lex:

First, he's watching Chloe and Clark on this camera and monitoring both of them with the world's most sophisticated equipment. If he was also monitoring them audibly, he should have heard several references to Clark's powers (including Pete and Clark's spaceship).

Also, in addition to putting the Kent family at risk, Lex also put Clark at risk because it is fairly safe to assume he triggered the "security system" that sent Clark rushing through the ventillation system and almost resulted in his plummeting to his death.

Now here's something I was toying with and thought it was worth discussing. Is it at all possible that Lex is Lionel and Lionel is Lex? I believe the stone that Lionel had in his pocket was the one that caused Clark and Lionel to switch places in Season 4...so did Lex touch Lionel when Lionel passed out in Season 4's finale while the stone was still on Lionel? I realize it's out there, but I thought it was an interesting possiblity. You would have to assume that when Lex looks at his comatose father on the floor and whispers "You finally got the son your always wanted" that it was actually Lionel whispering to himself, which makes him even more evil...I obviously don't remember the episode very clearly so feel free to rip my theory to shreds...

Finally, is anybody else just a little disturbed by Clark's "darker" communication with Lex? Don't get me wrong, I get that he has every "right", and that Lex crossed way, way over the line, etc. But Clark's almost vicious hatred/lashing out at Lex just seemed a little disturbing. I guess I always saw "Superman" as the guy who was the "bigger man" who would push Lex away permanently rather than attack him. This episode conflicted with my image of Superman as a defender rather than an attacker - justified or not. Not to mention the story ended with Superman basically saving the day, then going into an angry tirade, picking a fight with his ex-best friend, then heading over to his g/f to lose his virginity all in one night. I wish they would have spread all this out a little more.

Oh well, I've said my piece about tonight's show...

Yeah they did like kind of make Lana and Clark get together a little fast this season but like Lana stated to Clark in the episode "We have been taking it slow for the last four years." when they first were about to have sex. But if you paid attention to the preview of the next episode Clark is suppose to be shot.

This is my opinion but why is there no other male character on the series around their age so that all the attention can be taken somewhat off of Clark. This is so funny because Chloe is still in love with him, Lana finally is dating Clark, and we all know later down the line all his attention will be generated toward Lois. They need a character that will take the attention of Chloe off of Clark because she just looks so sad when they're together and she has that sparkle in her eyes when she talks to him. They need another character to shake things up like last season with Jason but not as bad.

I'm guessing Jason could/is still alive. They never found him after the meteor hit the house last season, right?

Also, I think they're centering around Clark's pushing everyone away from him. Obviously that's what is going to happen at some point, so centering the show around him magnifies the point.

All I know is Spike needs to show up soon. I just hope he's "British" on Smallville since I don't want to have to hear James Marsters in his real voice. It's so...Wrong. Though I really like the idea of Lex and Lionel switching. It definitely seems like something that could happen on Smallville and it'd be a great twist.

I guess you are right about Clark but I think Chloe needs to at least have a decent love interest outside of Clark because she has been on the show so long and they really haven't given her one.

Based on the preview for the next episode Spike will be in the next one but he didn't speak in the preview so we don't know what he will sound like until then.

This has been one of the aspects of the show that's been pissing me off the most. Honestly, Chloe can be an interesting character but if I have to see one more camera shot of her giving a "sad face" while looking at Clark and Lana, I'm gonna go crazy. Give her a fucking love interest already! It's always been a joke with her because literally everytime she got a boyfriend it would follow the same formula:

Chloe: Clark this is my boyfriend.
Clark: I don't trust that guy Chloe.
Chloe: God, you are like, soooo jealous, and I'm gonna start making out with the guy just to make you jealous.
Clark: You probably shouldn't do that Chloe.
-Later in the episode-
Misc Boyfriend: I'm gonna kill ya!
Chloe: OMFG Clark was right all along!
-Clark saves the day and runs off with Lana-
-Chloe gives "sad face" towards camera-

As far as the rest of the episode goes, I'm incredibly happy with the progress between Clark/Lana and Clark/Lex. They've been constantly pushing those two scenarios for four years now and their ratings have been on a SERIOUS decline so it makes perfect sense to finally give fans what they want to see.

Clark getting back at Lex at the end was the best part of the episode. Finally he let loose on all those years of being back-stabbed and man was it rewarding. It was even more satisfying knowing that both characters were acting like themselves because this kind of conflict existed each time one of the two characters weren't acting like themselves for an episode. As far as Clark not acting like a true defender, I think that is the purpose of this moment and of this show-Clark is still growing up and realzing his place in the world. He doesn't know yet that he will become this all-powerful defender. Smallville is all about the growth into the superhero he will become.

I was very surpised to see that by the end of the episode Clark was still with Lana and he still had no powers. This is a nice change of pace as the series has typically had major changes happen in an episode only to have them completely resolved or normalized by the end. I'm thinking the lack of powers will go on for about an episode longer and the Lana relationship will last a few more.

Glad to see others are upset with this fact too.

In the Chloe plotline - I keep expecting her to die any time now. For real. Just because she's not in the comics and she knows Clark's secret. That's a pretty dangerous combination if you're a character whose future hasn't been written already (we don't know what exactly will happen with Lex, Clark, Lana, Lois, or Clark's Mom, but we know they will all outlive Clark's dad).

I saw a preview where Jor-El tells Clark that for him to regain his powers, somebody close to him will have to die. I originally thought it was going to be his dad, but it could be Chloe now that I think about it...

SPIKE - Who is Spike?

Spike = James Marsters who played that character on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and toward the end of Buffy was her love interest. He is tall and has blonde hair.

If you saw the first episode of the season when Lex had the spacecraft impounded and the black liquid formed into a person that was Spike.
SPIKE - Who is Spike?
Spike is James Marsters. He's playing Braniac. He was the guy who showed up at the end of the first episode this season that seemed to leak out of the ship Zod's two guys came out of. He played Spike on Buffy and Angel for so long, that I no longer acknowledge him as James Marsters. He is only Spike. Like I wouldn't be surprised if Braniac suddenly vamped out and bit Clark.

EDIT: Damn..Beaten to the punch.

Isn't Jonathan Kent alive in the comics, I thought he was only killed off in the Movies, he's still alive on Justice League Unlimited?

Well,

If Chloe, Lana, and Clark's parents haven't gone into a psychiatric ward for severe paranoia, post-traumatic stress syndrome, and all the other psychological implications associated with almost being killed by multiple people who you trusted and loved, I think Jonathan can survive multiple tosses into heavy objects.

When Lionel got zapped Lex wasnt touching it as well. Youre right about Superman being the "bigger man" but you gotta go back and remember that this is about his upbringing on earth. He's not Superman yet.

As far as monitoring Chloe and Clark, she said it only had to do with the signal involving the lasers. You do make a good point about the vent safeguards kicking in. If that happened it was for a reason and no security ever showed up. Unless Lex regains his memory from season 3 that he's missing, he has yet to get any proof that Clark is anything but a human. He's seen Clark beat up several times with damage to say he's human.

When the series introduces us to Aqua Man, we'll have someone to take attn off Clark only it takes Lois' attn, not Chloe's.

Jason is dead. In the season premiere Lana saw a newspaper declaring the death of Jason and his mom and a note from Lex saying she owes him one. So Lex covered that up for her. Also, the guy that played Jason, is on the show Supernatural so thats another indicater the character is gone.

Marsters = Spike from Buffy = Brainiac on Smallville AKA- Professor Fine. He will eventually be the one that helps drive a bigger wedge between Clark and Lex.

We know Jason's mom is dead, and Lex covered that up. However, a newspaper article about Jason and his mom being dead doesn't guarantee he is dead. Lex might be holding him somewhere doing lab experiments or trying to use him to get the stones, etc. Jason's mom being alive would be a stretch to write in, but there has been no definitive death scene with Jason in it. Just that Lex got the paper to write about his death. I'm sure acting is much more difficult than my feeble mind envisions, but I would bet he can handle a guest appearance on Smallville or even 6 or 7 shows in addition to Supernatural (just as Clark was able to handle being in an entire movie while acting in Smallville).

For those of you who know about this Braniac guy, wanna fill me in on who he is (other than "the guy who came out of the ship")? Does he have Kryptonian powers also, and if not why is he not wreaking havoc? Why waste time with Lex? I guess it's possible Lex had some Kryptonite around and that guy can't get away or something...

Here's a good link for information about Brainiac.

Ah,

That helps a lot! It does seem that the history of Braniac is a little foggy, but now I understand who he's supposed to be. Thanks!

chloe already has a love interest

2 seasons ago when chloe interned at the daily planet for the summer chloe had a summer fling with jimmy olsen

Lemme re-phrase that then. We're made to believe Jason is dead. Is it possible he can come back? Anythings possible in TV lol. I hope they dive deeper into the Level 3 freak show lex has holed up in Luthor corp.

I remember reading something about Jimmy Olsen possibly being introduced this season. This would probably occupy Chloe. And doesn't Pete get together with Lana in the end?
if by jason u mean lana old bf he's not coming back. He's on the show supernatural now and that mean never again
Shooting a small clip would be like nothing. I wouldn't be surprised to see him check in as a sweeps stunt. I think they are just going to lay him to rest personally.

I agree. I'm not convinced Jason will come back either, but they have certainly left the possibility wide open if they wish to go that direction in the future.

As for Jimmie and Pete - I saw the episode where Chloe tells Lana about her fling with a guy named "Jimmie" at the Daily Planet a few Summers before - it can be assumed that was Olson. I'd like to see Pete come back also, but I don't know enough about Superman lore to know whether or not that would significantly damage the Superman space-time continuum (Yes, yes, we all know they have already taken liberties already - not trying to open the Pandora's box of complaints).

Update, smallville on tonight.

Sit back, eat pizza, enjoy!

Dont forget everwood too.

This has a been a quick update from LegendaryU2K aka Untouchable2K.

ok i have crazy questions about lionel
