Sweet!
I got the coupon too. I'm guessing it doesn't stack w/ the 25% off coupon?

I guess I got lucky. Went to a local EB and they had one behind the counter. The guy behind the counter said he already had it and if i wanted it it was mine.

Perfect case, booklet, soundtrack, and game disk. Looks like it is brand new.

Can't wait to start it up and play it.
Damn, that's nice of Gamestop...

Wa... wait a minute. Did I just say Gamestop and nice in the same sentence?!
Some Gamestop workers may be nice people but the Gamestop corporate is certainly not.
I just got my copy of Nocturne, I ordered it on Friday. The disc has some light scratches and smells like wet paper. And there is no case or manual.

Does anyone have a case and manual they would sell or trade?

Edit, if you got the soundtrack disc too for trade then tell me.
And that's why you don't order from Gamestop.com lol

Got my disc only copy in the mail yesterday.

The disc is in pretty good shape, plays like a champ. It would have been nice to have it complete, but honestly, I can't remember the last time I cracked open a manual anyways.

Every time I click on the link, it says they're unable to find the page I was looking for, which sucks cause I'd like to find out if a location has it or not from time to time. Any other way to get to it?

If you just do a search for it on EBGames or Gamestop's site you can get it by hitting the "Show backordered used products that may be available in stores." that is at the bottom of the page.

yeah I wouldn't pay $60 for this anymore unless you know it's complete b/c ebay prices have gone down significantly, ~$70 for a complete copy for sure. I canceled my order even w/ the 25% off and ended up getting a $10 GC anyway.

It's a good game and all, but just play the upcoming Persona FES instead.

You get the same monster fusing goodness and a nice pristine package.

60 bucks for a disc with scratches? You guys make it too easy for GS.
How is this a deal? $60 for a "collection" game? Gimme a break.
For once I agree, although it's more than a "collection" game... it's an adult Pokemon game that also involves breeding/creating hybrids.

Good game but definitely not worth 60 bones.

I paid 36 for it sealed back when it came out, and the 10 hours I've played were worth it.

Couldn't find a "show backordered" on their page; following the provided link didn't help either. A search on Nocturne returns nothing, and Shin Megami only returns 1 strategy guide.

Look at the very bottom of the page when you type in shin megami

I bought a mint, complete copy months ago in a buy 2 get one free but have never played it. I see disc only copies frequently at the gamestops that I typically visit.

I paid $49.99, and it was hella worth it. I'm @ 61hrs. in right now.

I struck it somewhat rich today. I had called earlier in the week for Digital Devil Saga to be shipped to my local Gstop (it came in today) So I went in and picked it up, the disk was almost perfect and the manual was included with the original case. I was happy. I went over to the used section and to my surprise, found DDS part 2. It was only $17.99 so I picked it up too (even though it isn't as rare).

After I checked out, I figured I would head back and browse some more, and once again surprisingly I found another Atlas game. Not a great find, but a find nonetheless. Shin Megami Tensai: Devil Summoner. Original case and manual intact.

All the disks looked almost new. I guess someone's mother made them return the game due to M rating. Who knows, but whoever had it before me didn't play it much. (Or took really good care of it)

Anyway, my experience (sorry for the grammatical errors and constant use of parenthesis)

You're good, and good job on your victory. Hope you wallet thinks the same ;)

I highly doubt many people are keeping disc-only copies. If they get one, they can return it to any GS store. But if they really want to play it, well, that's their business. Also, with the 25% off coupon, it's about $50, after shipping and tax.
How is this a deal? $60 for a "collection" game? Gimme a break.
If you get a complete game, $50 is pretty damn good for this, considering complete copies go for $70, $80, and beyond. Also, people always post available "rarities," like the Wii, in the deals sections.

Found a mint/complete copy of Nocturne today. No soundtrack though.

Oh well, I'll just e-mail Atlus for that. Only thing I'm mad about is that GS put the damn sticker on the case insert's spine. :bomb:

Its possible to take that out if you are very gentle and grats on the find ;)

Btw, you can just email Atlus for stuff? How does that work?

Well, I've heard fellow CAG's say that they e-mailed Atlus to ask if they have any extra manuals/soundtracks around, and Atlus would ship it to them, sometimes free of charge.

I figured I'd give it a shot and ask them.

I saw THP8 for $20. Not worth it.
Bulletwitch for $20.
Homecourt for $15. I almost got this.
Full Metal Alchemist for $9.90. Is this a good deal?

Try using a hair dryer if you are going to try to remove the sticker.

I actually removed it perfectly without any need for tools.

I guess the reason why it was so easy was because the stickers were just put on yesterday. The case, manual, and disc are pristine also. It's like this was a new game or something.

Now I just need to get DDS 1 and I'll be set for my PS2 SMT collection.

I actually just picked up DDS1 sealed on ebay, on an impulse buy for $99 w/ shipping....feeling a bit of buyers remorse atm...

Funny thing is that in Japan Nocturne is the only game with SMT in title as it is the thrid game in the series. In Japan the other games dont have SMT in the title, but they are part of the SMT universe.
