So I'm sleeping over at this girl's house tonight.

Alright, in order to defend myself...

The original plan a few days ago was to go get coffee, then I'd go home and (most likely) wack off, but she of course did not know about that. I wasn't going to sleep over or anything. But now, we have a huge ass snowstorm coming (10-20 inches) and I told her I had to call it off since driving home at 11:00 would be insane. She told me I could sleep over if I wanted. I never wanted any sleepover activity to occur.

My original question was worded poorly. I have no desire to stick it in her. First of all, I'm way too fricken scared about getting her pregnant, even with a condom. Second of all, she's 16--it's illegal.

My real question was, if we started making out or something simple like that, would that be considered sexual? No clothes off or anything.

I really dig this girl, guys. This isn't some crusade for sex, really.

OP, if you really want to do it you need to find out the AOC laws for your state. I know in Vegas the AOC is 16.

If you touch her sexually and the AOC is 18, it's illegal. If you know you will/could not have sex with her, don't bother. It will only lead to problems down the line.

Well, I at least think it's not shitty in the least. You have a friendship with this person, it's turning into a relationship, and you are both obviously very fond of each other.

I think these are all just chains that society puts on us. It's wrong, sinfuil, and immoral for a 20 something to be with a 16/17 year old girl, but it's not wrong for a 60 year old man to be with a 30 year old woman? Or an 18 year old girl to be with a 29 year old? Yet it's wrong for two people in pretty much the SAME generation and demographic, with shared interests and an obvious kinship, to be together, simply because at midnight of your 18th birthday you're "magically" an "adult"? God, you can't even rent a car in most states until you're 23 or 25...

So even though it's going against the grain, I say you look at it this way

An entire night to talk and have fun with someone you like. It doesn't have to be about sex, two people who like/love each other can spend hours on end talking, watching TV, playing games, etc. Age doesn't matter at all, bring over some food, a console, some games, some DVD's, and have a good fun night, and if you end up on the floor making out and having some real fun, then that's between you two, no one needs to go running and telling the police.

Underage my ass, there's 13 year old girls these days who have bigger tits than me and have fucked more guys AND girls in 6 months than I have in 5 years. And if her parents don't seem to have a problem with it, she either lives alone, is so intelligent and responsible her parents trust her with anything, or her parents are the coolest most free spirited people EVER.

I may have missed it, but where are her parents? That would be my first concern, cause if they're not cool with this, you're already in trouble.

As it's been said, if you're actually interested in her, just wait on the sleep over. Age of Consent here in NY is 17, and since she's "almost 17", just hold out the extra few months...it gives you time to get to know each other better, and also avoids all those legal hassles.
