I just moved about 6 days ago, and discovered
this exciting lil' haunt. Their pizza is amazingly good.
Also, our not-vegetarian-but-kinda-hippy (yikes!) nonetheless culinary sensibilities are totally in heaven in Athens. Huge farmers' market, lots of restaurants featuring local/organic foods, and the Kroger has some incredible produce itself.
But, on a given week, if I'm working a lot:
Morning: coffee (2-3 cups; yeah, I know), Thomas' Double Fiber English Muffin (high dietary fiber to offset the carb content) w/ olive oil margarine and strawberry preserves, or 2-3 eggs, or a bowl of special K w/ 1% milk.
Lunch: sammich on wheat/multigrain bread: probably turkey w/ a slice of cheddar. Or tuna salad (I'm generally not a picky eater, but I won't eat any canned tuna other than solid albacore in water). More coffee.
Dinner: chicken breast, plain. Rice dish (long grain and wild if I have my way, though my wife hates it so I can't cook it every night), and a steamed vegetable (green beans, corn, etc.). Milk or water to drink.
Snacks throughout the day: depends. Could be a protein shake, could be a payday candy bar. I'm crazy and unpredictable like that.
But I will *never* turn down the offer of a cheap and/or good sushi lunch.
