So.. what'd you get for Christmas?

I'm 21 years old and she bought me a toy. A cool one though. Its little turntables that you hook to the pc and can mix music with. It'll be fun to play with for a day or two before I take it back to Toys R' Us, and exchange it for a game. :D

It has a TRU sticker on it btw.

such generous parents... my cheapy dad gave me $100, but this is no surprise because he is cheap. i dont get much else from him during the year as well. i got $400 from my mom, she said i deserved more, but i didnt get anymore. I got about another $150 from other people combined, but this has probably been the worst christmas. i usually receive gifts from more people, but i guess the grinch got them. cheap friends are the blank

You can spend the night and just focus on each other without having to deal with getting up, opening gifts to each other, then leaving to go to some parents/grandparents house then leaving and having to go to the OTHER parents/ grand parents house.



Plus you get to give presents earlier.

Wow, no offense man, but really...you sound like a whiny little kid. $650 is a not a bad haul, and like another poster said above, it could certainly be worse. I'd say be grateful for what you've gotten and leave it at that.

Good idea, in theory.

My girlfriend and I did ours last weekend. Especially where we're both bargain shoppers (As in we'll jump on deals we see on here, DVDTalk, Slickdeals, etc), better to just get it out of the way. We also went out and had a nice dinner so it is better than the chaos of Christmas morning.

Unfortunately, her parents and my parents live a 9 hour drive from each other, so it's pretty difficult to have Christmas at both houses. For now, we celebrate Christams day seperately to appease both familys.
