[quote name='HeadRusch']I know you guys are busting my balls, its ok...I've taken a rather unpopular stance on this. I just find it kinda sad that people would stand in the bitter cold all night long just to maybe get an xbox 360.
Its just a dumb console. Lets face it, your gamecube...your PS2...your xbox...the ones you have in your house RIGHT NOW...those are the former HOT systems. And yet now, you can't be bothered...no, now you guys gotta stand in line in winter to get the next HOT thing.
Me, I'm just playing some old Xbox/PS2 games I haven't touched, enjoying them, and waiting until I can walk into a Best Buy at 2:34pm on a Saturday Afternoon and just buy a frickin system and a few games right off the shelf. Screw this waiting in line stuff.
For what...to play PGR3 or Perfect Dark? I dont think so.........plenty of good alternatives to those games on the "last generation" systems......
Yes, we all want 360's....but I find the whole standing in line thing to be pathetic. Its like.....I mean sure, if you're totally wasted.....and doing it as a goof...what the hell, I'm all for it. But the guys who line up all serious...who want to get on TV.....its like oh brother man...gimme a break.
Like I said tho...I'm older than alot of you I'm guessing (35)......my time is worth more to me than burning an evening standing outside a store.
Personally, I figure in another 10 years there wont even be Brick and Mortar stores to stand in line in front of....as it is brick and mortar stores come and go in a span of like 5 to 10 years.....stores that used to last decades now last 3 years and close up shop. Shopping is a lost art

I'm 31 and I disagree with you although I see your point. I think it's a fun experience and you get to meet other huge nerds that share a common interest. Plus, you can turn around and eBay it for twice what you paid and then use the money to get a "free" one in the spring.
