This is all I was able to get from tonight. The Intec Screen for GameCube and one of the portable DVD players(Coby 7" I think?) should drop but I don't remember the prices.

I saw some basketball GBA game at my Wal-Mart today for $39.xx.
 
I saw Amped 3 at my store for $38.98, Gunstar for $9.89, Katamari for $16.98 and FF4 for $16.89. Will these drop tomorrow?
 
Speaking of Suikoden V it's down to $27-something already. Not a bad price if you wanted it.

I picked up Blade Dancer, SFAA, ToP, and PD Zero to have adjusted next week. Thanks again OP.

And whoever said the Intec GC screens were bad I can now say I agree. Picked one up for $40 and it's not even worth that much. I suppose I'll keep it anyways though.

Good call, WalMart is the worst. I would understand if they kept good titles for a long time at full price, considering they have the most floor space of all the retailers. But they sit on trash forever.

no offense, but blade dancer is barely worth it. I reviewed the game before release and man... it is lacking alot. wait for it at $10, then it's good.
 
Sorry guys, TRU isn't the king of game clearance suckage. That would be Wal-Mart. For every store that carries clearance games, there are ten that don't, and still carry full price PS2 launch titles.

LOL, your right about that but I rarely ever go to a Walmart, (nearest one to me is almost an hour away) TRU I can fall outta bed and be in there store.

I still like CC the best for games but since I have been coming to this site I have yet to pay full price for a game. Due to this site I doubled my gaming fun and still have money to spend on needed stuff. The only time this site is a double edged sword is the CC 4th of July sale. Awesome deals but damn you can go broke quick if you have a long want list.

Yeah I set my alarm clock for 9:30, otherwise I wouldn't be at TRU until 1pm if I woke up naturally.

I hope nobody cleared out the good ones today for a price adjustment, since its a YMMV deal it wouldn't be the best idea anyway--store might not have these prices!

I've been playing it for the past couple weeks and I think its quite good so far. I like the battle system, and the graphics are pretty good too. I'm happy paying the $28 I did for it, but if they will adjust it lower, I'd be even happier :D

[/quote]great prices. I already got GSH, FFIV, and Tales though. I almost wish I'd have waited for FFIV but I doubt my local TRU has any left. That's really about it for a Nintendo man like myself.


For anyone on the fence Gunstar Super Heroes is a GREAT game. Very arcady in a good way. Lots and lots of fun.

I'm still waiting to hear if people's local TRU's are doing it. They just opened six minutes ago on the west coast, I want to hear some success stories before I waste the gas to go down there.

If it's anything like the last time TRU did a clearance, the stores here all hoarded the good games for themselves, and I wasted the gas checking them for decent games. Hell, I even overheard the employees talking about how many games they had in the back they are planning to buy after their shift is over.

Suikoden V is a good price but I doubt my TRU has it, so no biggie.

I scanned the UPC's of those 3 and they were $24.98, $16.98 and $15.98

I scanned Trace Memory (not on the list but I thought it might drop), still $9.98, Polarium is $4.98

NBA 2K6 for the 360 which I thought would be under $10 by now since it was $10 for a while scanned $29.99 (I know Live 06 is the one on the list).
 
My local TRU in NC didn't seem to have much marked down... these are the games I checked:

Gun (X360): 27.98
Perfect Dark 0 LE (X360): 27.98
Final Fantasy IV Advance (GBA): 10.98
Gunstar Heroes (GBA): 9.99
Tales of Phantasia (GBA): 6.48

I only picked up Tales of Phantasia. The guy working there showed me the very short list of games that were being marked down today, and it was mostly crap.
 
2 Stores and no luck, GSH was actually the only game I couldnt find, but the others were not on sale. Oh well.
 
I'll hit up my TRU when I drop by a GS that's getting a PS1 refill this week...I'll bite for Tales at $6.48 but it's not worth it to go for YMMV deals.

I'd be taking public transit there anyway since it's marginally cheaper than driving. Gas just hit $2.97/gl.
 
Mine didn't have anything from the list besides a few things and those things were already marked (not individually but on the shelf).

I really wanted Suikoden V but they didn't have any. I also looked for Amped 3, Karamari (PSP), or Eye Toy Kinetic but no dice.

I did find copies of Suikoden Tactics ($14.98) and Tales of Legendia ($16.98) though so it wasn't all bad.

If anybody finds a copy of Suikoden V and would be willing to sell it for $22 or trade for Suikoden Tactics, et me know!

i think NYC the gas are like 3.69
 
All 3 stores in my area didn't have them for these prices. Its like they knew this was coming up and dropped the prices locally so the big corporate price drop wouldn't affect them.

Here were the prices at my TRUs:

Amped - $33.98
Tales of Phantasia - $16.98
FF4 - $16.98
Me and My Katamari $16.98
Gunstar Heroes - $8.98
 
I was able to get amped 3 for $8.48 but suikoden 5 rang up $27.90. I might try another TRU for the Street Fighter Alpha Anthology and see if I can get a price adjustment.
 
Wow, this is a lot more YMMV then I thought it would be! Amped 3 in particular has a $25 range in prices between stores.
 
my store had hella Onimushas in the glass door display behind the cashier.

but the price is indeed YMMV, it rang up as $16.98, a whole extra $2.

I still bought it tho!!

they also had hella Suikoden TACTICS for I think $14.98 if any1 wants me to grab them one.
 
Sucky Tactics is hella available at EVERY circuit city for $9.99

Also got my Alpha Anthology :) $12.99 and a bit longer drive than I wanted to make!
 
Bah! Gunstar Super Heroes (whoops, typoed that the first time) was marked $9.99 - I had it price checked, and it rang up $8.48. Still a bit too high for me. Oh well.

Also, the 10+ copies of Suikoden Tactics my TRU had have mysteriously disappeared. I was kind of hoping they'd drop from $10.98 at some point, but apparently they ditched them somehow rather than drop the price any more.
 
Out of all the systems I checked for (PS2, GBA, DS), the only game they had was FFIV, and since I already have it I didn't check the price. If I wasn't already going to Circuit City, which is just about two blocks away, this would have been a wasted trip.

And it sucks too, because I remember when we still had the other TRU stores here in town, they were always great on doing clearances. But then they closed down every other one in town except this one, which totally sucks at everything. Seriously, it was the smallest and least organized of all the TRU stores in town, so I was surprised to find out it would be the only one left.
 
If it really is YMMV, then not sure I want to possibly waste a trip just to check on FF4. I'll probably just check it out if I happen to be around one.
 
My TRU (Champaign IL) had most of the games that I checked marked down. I picked up:

Infected (PSP) - $8.48
Blade Dancer (PSP) - $14.98 (marked $27.98)
Me & My Katamari (PSP) - $8.48 (this is available for trade)
Final Fantasy IV (GBA) - $6.48 (got an extra for trade)
Pac Pix (DS) - $6.48

Amped 3 was $33.48. Couldn't find Tales of Phantasia or some of the other PSP titles.
