I figured I'd create a thread in the movie section for Sony's Reward system. Everytime you buy a Sony Blu-ray or DVD it comes with a code that allows you to register your disc at sonyrewards.com. You get 30 points per BD, 15 points per DVD, and if you're a Sony Cardholder you get 45 points, and 25 points respectively. Registration is completely free.

Now the best part about this is the codes are multi-use. So anyone who buys a Sony pictures studio movie can pass along their code in this thread. I've made it a Wiki thread so you can easily add your code to the list. Please post in the thread which code you've added as well, thanks.

Notes:

It is 10 disk registrations in a ROLLING 30 day period with a maximum of 3 disk registrations per day
Red = Titles that are either not released yet, or no code has been posted for it

===========================================================================

So that's 945 points so far (1465 for cardholders). Feel free to post any for other movies listed there! Eventually we can earn enough to get some movies and other rewards from their site \\ :D/

Also I do realize there is a Sony Reward thread in the PS3 section, but it's a bit of a mess with movie codes posted here and there. I figured since this is a movie section it's best to have them all neatly organized in a centralized section.

(credit to the folks at Blu-ray.com for some of these codes)

Thanks for the new codes! Hoping Sony has a ticket-stub registration bonus with 007 Skyfall, like they did with Looper :)

Awesome.

Might have to figure out how to cash in my points for a 32gb Vita card.
I dont get it... we can only register 3 movies a month, but the points expire after a few months?
It is annoying, but they made the program to easy to abuse they had to do something. That said, you can usually enter more than 3 discs a month but you have to try each day to find when it will happen. For example, here is what I was able to enter in November:
Date Title Points earned
11/19/2012 Arthur Christmas (blu-ray) 30 pts.
11/19/2012 Arthur Christmas (DVD) 15 pts.
11/19/2012 Straw Dogs (Blu-ray) 30 pts.
11/21/2012 Straw Dogs (DVD) 15 pts.
11/21/2012 That's My Boy (Blu-ray) 30 pts.
11/21/2012 That's My Boy (DVD) 15 pts.
11/26/2012 The Guns of Navarone (Blu-ray) 30 pts.
11/26/2012 The Ides of March (Blu-ray) 30 pts.
11/26/2012 The Ides of March (DVD) 15 pts.
11/28/2012 The Pirates! Band of Misfits (Blu-ray) 30 pts
I was able to enter three disc on three different days and then a single on one for a total of 10 entries. This is on top of entering 10 points a day through the Wheel Of Fortune game (answers here).

Now if I could just find something I want to use the points on
Link your account to the store.sony.com site and use your points there.
I didn't realize I could do this. I looked around the Sony Rewards site and didn't find anywhere obvious to link to the Sony Store. Could you give some info about how to do this? TIA!
Link your account to the store.sony.com site and use your points there.
I never realized I could log into the Sony Store to use my points. I have less than $20 unfortunately, but between the store and the rewards site I suspect I can find something as we get closer to the end of the program. Thanks for the info!

??? what end of the program? If my Sony Rewards Visa is soon to become just a regular CC, that's news to me

Yeah, I haven't received any emails/notices about the termination of the Sony Rewards program. I really hope it doesn't, as it's been pretty handy earning PSN funds with the PlayStation Visa credit card :)

If you look at your account on www.sonyrewards.com you will likely see the following next to your points:
Points expiring on 03/31/2013
I cannot be sure that this means the program is ending, but at the least the points being accrued are going away. This said, they could do what many other loyalty programs do and give an expiration unless it is renewed, but with how easy it is to abuse the movie codes I suspect it will either end or be changed in March.

I had about 4k points expiring on 12-31-12, so I got the 32gb Vita card.

From the Sony Rewards FAQ:

Do my Sony Rewards points expire? Yes. However, if you have a Sony Card or PlayStation®Card, an extended expiration date is one of your advantages. Here are the details:

  • If you don't have a Sony Card / PlayStation®Card: You earn Sony Rewards points on a calendar year basis. You can use your points at any time during the year they were earned and also for an additional three-month period in the following year. This means your points from the previous calendar year expire on March 31.
For example, let's say you earn 10,000 Sony Rewards points in 2012. You use 5,000 of your points before the end of December, leaving 5,000 points unused at the start of 2013. You will have until March 31, 2013, to use the remaining 5,000 points that you earned in 2012. And, if you wish, you can combine these points with the points you earn from January to March 2013. At the end of March 2013, your unused Sony Rewards points from 2012 will expire — but any points you have earned in 2013 can still be used throughout the year 2013 and also for an additional three months in 2014.
  • If you have a Sony Card/PlayStation®Card: As a cardmember, your Sony Rewards points will expire 5 years from the end of the month in which they were earned. Points are redeemed on a first in/first out basis, so you have plenty of time to select the Sony Rewards item that interests you most.

oh haha yeah ok, no. YOU have points expiring in may because you just have a free rewards account. I have a sony visa card, and the soonest any of my points will expire is October 2017. The program isn't ending.

Abuse has been far easier in the past, sony rewards is nothing of what it used to be.

Yeah, I just looked into my Sony Rewards points in the FAQs for points expiration info, which was already posted by my2k2zx2. I have a PlayStation Visa card, so my current points don't expire until November 2017.

Really if you have a PS3 it is worth getting a PlayStation Visa card, as you get 10% back on PSN purchases using the card (and 1% back on everything else), plus the current sign-up bonus of a $50 PSN Wallet Credit and a year of PS Plus. Unfortunately for me, I signed up when the $50 credit was the only bonus :/
Thanks. I don't think Lawrence of Arabia came with any codes unfortunately.
I only know what shows on the Sony Rewards list of discs:

They also added the following recently:

Total Recall (DVD) -
Just like Lawrence Of Arabia, Total Recall has duplicate Blu Ray listings.
Just like Lawrence Of Arabia, Total Recall has duplicate Blu Ray listings.
Both of those have 2 different blu-ray releases. Total Recall has a 2-disc Blu & 3-disc Blu/DVD combo and Lawrence of Arabia has the standard edition and a collector's edition. In the past though all versions of the same movie share the same code, I'm guessing this will continue

hmm my walmart exclusive steelbook of the total recall blu-ray didn't come with a code..wonder if the regular blu-ray releases have one?

We finally got the Anonymous DVD

Anonymous (DVD) - 3HUF3GLW
Total Recall (DVD) - 7x7262J8

Only one missing now is the Think Like a Man blu
Only one missing now is the Think Like a Man blu
Are you sure that Lawrence Of Arabia doesn't have a code even though Sony lists it on the Rewards site?

Pretty sure. Plenty of people at Blu-ray.com have bought it and it was confirmed by some members that no code sheet came with it. The same thing happened with Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, which Sony eventually removed from the list.
Resident Evil: Retribution (Blu-ray) - NB8TAN49
Thanks for all the recent codes! :)

Someone at Blu-ray.com noticed that you can use the Retrbution code for both the regular and the Blu-ray 3D listing. The same for both entries of Total Recall!
I just figured out that these codes can be used twice -

Total Recall (Blu-Ray)
Total Recall (blu-ray 3 discs)
