Bestbuy.com has the CE for $59.99 WITH a 500 rewardzone point bonus. So, you'll ultimately get the game for $49.99(including the $10 rewardzone bonus). I may cancel at GS and pick this deal up, it cannot be picked up in store however. I think this is a pricing error on the site, get it while its hot!
I do apologize, I respect that. I don't respect buying them up then hiking the prices on amazon marketplace or ebay.

Also, I didn't get the comic book either lol! The drive says 509mb of space, but it's blank. Thursday they'll put the contents of the drive on the site, and I'll transfer them myself. I did get 2 different inserts with weapon codes.
it's cool - if those were my intentions I would have bought all that were there lol. Worst case I return them or I'd even sell them to people here who couldn't get one at that price.
No 500 reward points offer anymore though.
Just got back with my copy, I got one of the bogus USB drives. My PC doesnt even recognize there being a USB pluged in. Atleast I'll still be able to get all the bonus content online in a couple days.

confirmed in Wilmington, DE...got it for 59.99

is the USB thing that card that was in the game case? i cant even get it out of the holder

EDIT

figured the USB out...mine works fine

I heard that the game itself is short and not worth the 60 bucks for the c.e. ?
Am I missing something like maybe some co op or multiplayer aspects?
I'm just interested in single player and still on the fence about getting this.

Just as some extra food for thought, I just got Best Buy's Reward Zone 10% coupons (the snail mail version), which are valid 4/16-4/19. Of course, the caveat would be whether or not the dropped MSRP constitutes "regular-priced". However, these could theoretically provide another discount, and for a short time window also overlap with the RZ bonus points.

Yeah I don't see that anywhere at that link.

Its at the rewards zone site.

this may shed some light on the USB:

nobody else really reported seeing this sign I don't think..2 copies on the shelf, 2 behind the CS counter. All of them were spider wrapped :bomb: luckily the slip-cover bounced back a little and is not too dented in. Paid $59.99 no problem (obviously) Don't know if I want to open, seems like it might be rare (?) first ever snaffu w/ a CE (not counting Bioshock 1)

edit: here is that link on the sign for the lazy..http://splintercell.com/usboffer the official MRSP should be $69.99..nice job Best Buy!

I just placed an order to pick up in the store...but I forgot to add my RewardZone member number. Does BestBuy.com automatically attribute your RZ account to your online purchases? Or am I going to have to jump through some hoops to get my bonus 500 points?
Was the box slightly damaged?
yeah, the sides were denting in b/c of the pressure. However, the top and bottom were fine. there is a small half circle on the top of the backside that was taking the tension off the top and bottom wrap 'legs' thank god..however, after removing the spider wrap, the sides decompressed a little and there is an ever so small indication, but nothing too serious. Like I said, glad I got it sooner, if they do sit for a while, there would probably be no going back..The Bioshock 2 LE's at Target that have been spider-wrapped for months are a joke

Are there any coupons, the online version?

Goto the rewards zone website and there you can add the customer number that will add your points.

Argh, I forgot about those. Gotta go back on the 16th.

my usb drive isnt working

but the game rules def worth the 59.99 price tag. multi-player is one of the selling points for me. i hope they do something good with the ones like myself that got a defective usb drive.
Are there any coupons, the online version?
There usually is an online equivalent when the physical ones are mailed out, so if somebody gets them, they can post the link. I sometimes get both, sometimes not.

Crappy is a understatement, this thing cost them what....$0.10 to make? Even if mine would have worked, I wouldnt have seen myself holding onto it very long.
by the way, dont update when it prompts you to. it keeps crashing at the same spot for me
what do you mean? a title update? is it crashing during the game or in the menus?
what do you mean? a title update? is it crashing during the game or in the menus?
the update supposedly causes the game to freeze on the 2nd level. Ubisoft is working on fixing it.

I just picked it up, but why do I have this feeling that the game will drop to 39.99 soon.
iguess i will just stare at it for 45 days and return it lol

So does anyone have a read on this thing collecting-wise? I'm assuming CEs are normally only shipped in one batch so there's not going to be a recall I suppose. Still, think it might be worth anything? Is it a BB exclusive?

just ordered online for in-store pickup. Can't wait till i'm off work. Hope i get lucky with a working usb drive
Picked up a copy of the CE for $60 and $20 BBC2, plus a Splinter Cell beanie and mini strategy book.
From where

Got mine at BB just while ago!

My USB Drive works, it's only a 508MB Drive Stick. It has none of the extra content the case describes on the CE.

Also there's no Splinter Cell Comic Book enclosed as described.

CE is pretty FUBAR! It's saving grace is the bonus game content. Now I need to get the Silenced Shotgun from GameStop and i'll be set.

Anyone with a extra GameStop silenced Shotgun, i'll trade you a Halo 3 ODST Sgt. Johnson code for it. Just PM me.

I think the comic is supposed to be a digital one and since the USB drives do not work or are blank, that is the reason you did not receive it yet. It will be up on the Ubi site later this week.

I was going to get this but I decided to hold off and wait a few weeks as I think the regular edition will go on sale for $30 much like Assassin's Creed 2 did not long after its release as the bonus gun and outfit really are not worth $20 to me.

My local Best Buy had 9 copies when I got there this morning at 10am, combined with my $15 RZ coupon and the 500 bonus points this was a very nice deal. Also my USB drive ended up working so thats nice, but blank as others have posted

Just got it from there. Thanks for the heads up TC. Wasn't able to pre-order the CE in gamestop. So I took my gamestop order of the original one and exchanged it for a CE at my local bestbuy. So now I have all the unlock-able goodies! =D

You probably didn't get the 500 bonus points if you used RZ certificates. I didn't when I bought the regular version at BB earlier today.
