Bestbuy.com has the CE for $59.99 WITH a 500 rewardzone point bonus. So, you'll ultimately get the game for $49.99(including the $10 rewardzone bonus). I may cancel at GS and pick this deal up, it cannot be picked up in store however. I think this is a pricing error on the site, get it while its hot!

Got the LE yesterday from BB, they had bout 5 copies on display plus a letter stating about the USB mishap and that's why it's only $59

Who had the sc3000 code? Is it in the LE (havent opened mine yet), I know GS had the shotgun, but never heard the SC3000 mentioned.

if you did the codeofconviction.com "promotion" you were given a code to unlock some armor and the SC3000 (or at least that's how I got one) then if you texted WEAPON to 44144 (or something like that) you were given a special gun code that also turned out to be for the SC3000.

I'm not sure if any actual retailer had that as a pre-order bonus though. If there was, I never seen it.
 
I got 2 SC3000 codes, 1 in my CE and the other was from the text message. From what I have read on the xbox.com forums, it seems like there are different guns being givin out in the text messages (2 different guns so far, SC3000 & SR-2M).

Oh really, hmm. So if you say for example have the CE and use the SC3000 code and then put in your text message code (which also happens to be for the SC3000) and it states you already have said item, is that code still used? Or would you be able to then give it away to somebody still since you already have the item?
 
I'm all confused about these extra armors and guns etc... can anyone give me a run down of what is what? it sounds like something was sent, but it was something else. it might be the same as what is included in the CE?

Can Ubi make it anymore confusing?
 
SC3000 is Best Buys "exclusive" bonus.

Shadow armor + MP5 comes in the CE

Suppressed Shotgun is gamestops exclusive...

Not sure on other stuff. I think the Alkali armor or whatever the hell it's called was supposed to be gotten at some website (codeofconviction maybe?) but instead they were given the Shadow that comes in the CE.

I'm not exactly sure how it works, I actually got a different text mesage last night on my wifes phone, I will try and enter it in a few minutes here. If that one happens to be another SC3000 code, I will let you know what happens.

UPDATE- well the second code I had ended up being the SR-2M, so I guss I cant answer your question, sorry.

There is also a VR Akali suit and a shadow armor suit.

the above is the shadow armor suit which I guess is what's supposed to come with the CE.

However at ubi's forum somebody posted they got the VR suit with their CE code instead of the Shadow armor. The VR Suit looks like this

From what I can tell the codeofconviction.com thing was supposedly giving you access to download that last suit but from what I've read it actually unlocks the Shadow armor. Although since now one user posted that the text message promotion unlocks one of two guns, I am wondering what's what again lol.

I recall reading about people who did the text message thing and replied "STOP" after getting the first code that they then received a message stating they had opted out of receiving further codes (or something like that), which might be why you received a different one last night.

Like I said earlier, so far there are two different guns. If you have a way to use a diffeent phone, give it a try. I got the SC3000 & SR-2M

no that's not it. Basically Ubisoft had a series of videos and a part of the video had a clue that was the "code" you had to enter on the left side of the site. For example, one of hte codes I think was the address for the white house that was seen as a picture on a desk in one of the videos. You had to enter the code in to the left side and it only accepted a certain amount before that code was closed out and you couldn't enter it anymore. The more codes you entered the more stuff you got. Although the first two "rewards" were junk really. Upon entering a certain # of codes they would send you an email with a code to unlock whatever you were awarded with.

Don't forget about unlocking the Uplay stuff as well folks.
You can unlock the SCAR, a theme (not premium), a stealth suit and Infiltration Mode.

So far it looks like nobody got a working USB flash drive. So much for Ubisoft calling a select amount of drives being defective. Seems like ALL of them are defective.

How many gun/armor unlockables are actually there in the CE that you buy from BB? People talked about SC3000, MP-5, SCAR, etc and that's a lot of guns to unlock with codes???

Nope! I just txted with my girl's cel and she got a code, but it's the sr2g, and if you enter another code, it uses it up again. I just wasted an s3tg code, but it's free, oh wells...

OH and not every CE comes with an SC3000? Only bestbuy pack ins?
 
all the drives are defective thats why there is a discount also they are directing people to a website to get the comic book that was supposed to be included and wasnt. that is the reason for the discount.

That's dumb it uses it up twice. Makes sense on the new gun bit, SC3000's probably "ran out".
 
So my usb card doesn't work at all, whatevs. But I was kinda under the impression the comic book is pack in, like the ME2 CE, am I blind or nowhere in the back does it say the comic book is digital, and it's not even under the USB card description. I think they screwed the pooch on this one.

The steelbook is nice though.

I'm not sure on the CE packaging itself but that's the promotional flyer for the US CE. I agree the advertising on the comic is very misleading if you don't read the "fine print".

The back of the actual CE says nothing about the comic book being digital. It's the same pic but without that fine print anywhere. Not that I give a crap. Just saying. Ubisoft sucks so hard lol..
 
My text message code was the Best Buy preorder gune. SC3000 I believe it was. I have heard other things though so I wonder if they gave out random ones?

Well my bestbuy.com order is no longer listed as back ordered, but now in process of being fulfilled. Guess that is a better sign than back ordered.

My USB Drive works, just doesn't have any content on it. It's only a 508MB Drive.

I'm in the same boat with you. The game's Metascore has 14 90 and 14 80's right now - a random 100, 2 85's, and some miscellaneous scores. It seems to be worth it if you've got friends to play the 4 hour multiplayer component with you repeatedly. Almost all the reviews decry the single player campaign. The claims against is are that it's 4-6 hours long and a glorified tutorial for the multiplayer component. Apparently stealth is largely optional and you can go in guns blazing too often but it doesn't work well as an action game and the mark-and-execute is an "I Win" button. I read multiple accounts of the single player campaign having a terrible ending and the multiplayer portion having an amazing ending. That's pretty much all I've gathered - I'm trying to convince myself to hold out for 29.99 but I've got nothing to play right now so it's difficult.
 
Same question as frpilot. Was the sc3000 only for preorders? It's in their ad. If not, does it come inside the game case or is it a separate card that they hand out at the counter? Thanks.
