Are we describing the waste of life known as Paris Hilton?
Aren't we always?

'Cuz the media seems to think so.

ALSO NINJA, I SAW THAT.

And then I thought "in some countries that's probably a sign of good luck."

This is prime for photoshopping, Strell.

A puzzled crab would be gold.

Damnit. The OTT was actually unny this morning and I missed it.

...I just wish I didnt have to pay for a phone line to get dsl. Argh. Stupid apartment.

Fox Soccer Channel is dissapointing. Here I was expecting live matches (in according to their weird scheduling) but no, the matches are five days old. What crap.
...I just wish I didnt have to pay for a phone line to get dsl. Argh. Stupid apartment.
A friend of mine just went through that with his new house. He doesn't even own a phone, but he's got a line with caller ID, call waiting, and call waiting ID.

Hey southeasterners, question: does kudzu kill out whatever plants/trees it envelops or does it coexist peacefully?
Pad Thai isn't that great the next day...oh well, wasn't THAT bad.
add a bit of soy sauce to moisten it.
http://www.alabamatv.org/kudzu/

Kudzu kills any living plant it comes in contact with if you don't watch out.
That's the only mention I've seen of it killing trees. I've read several other articles on it and none of them clearly state that it lays waste to everything it covers. I'm just glad it's so easily controllable with goats.

when I was living in Greensboro, NC, it was all over everything and people said it wasn't too dangerous.

I just woke up and I have to work in like an hour and a half. I think I'm just going to go in, fill out W2 forms, stand there for an hour with noone coming in because a tropical storm is knocking on our door and then being told I can go.

Sucks to be you.

I live about 5 miles from the Norfolk Radison, I don't think he'll be told to go home soon after getting there. That place is pretty damn big...

I need just a tad bit of advice. The landlord is sending exterminators to my apartment tomorrow (and the one downstairs). I've never had to deal with anything like this. What do I need to do? Pull out everything from all the closets? All the stuff from the top and bottom cabinets in the kitchen?

1. Talk to landlord. They should have an idea of what to do.

2. At least clean the place up.

3. I really doubt you need to empty closets and things. I never had to.

4. If possible, get exterminator's phone number from landlord and call them directly and ask. I'm sure they can help.

Well my landlord is a total fuckwit. I am cleaning up, it needs to be done anyway. They left me a letter stating that they were doing it this friday on Monday, as I recall that they have to provide in writing that they are spraying. All it said on the note was that "some one" would be by to do it. Knowing him, hes hired some total fucktard that does this shit on his off time like has with everything. One thing is for sure is that if he asks me to leave, I'm asking for a mask or something because everytime the landlord hires someone to do anything something valuable in my apartment gets fucked up. And I swear, I think I'm missing a DVD or two from when the guy installing the duct work for the heater/AC back in Nov. Not to mention they didn't put down any thing, so a lot of our stuff still has debris from the ceiling

Whoa there, ez killa.

I'm just sayin'.

If you're that worried about it, then just refuse entry. I don't know the legal ramifications about it, but if that is what is going on, don't let the guy in, or ask for some credentials before letting him in.

I've heard horror stories on here about landlords lately, so I can't quite remember all the stuff that's specific to you. But I'm just saying there's avenues to information.

No one to call over the landlord, eh? Like this isn't an apartment situation? He owns the place?

Hope it works out.

Well, he hires people that do the stuff for a living, but they do it cheaper because they're doing in it their off time on the side. As for the property, its an old two story house (built in the 20s) thats been converted to an upstairs and downstairs one bedroom apartments. I have the upstairs. Funny thing is is that they guy downstairs claims hes seeing roaches (it was a problem before we even moved in a year ago), but up here in I haven't seen one in months since the landlord used a spray up here back in March. Only things I see are silverfish...
«Food or Strell? I'll have Strell.»

Indeed, you will.

However, this is not as good as this, which I made years ago:

Ahadi, despite the fact that I don't know who the fuck you are or where the fuck you came from, my advice is this - no woman can divorce emotion from sex. It is simply not possible.

Knowing this, understand there will be emotional undercurrents, overcurrents, currentcurrents, carrotcurrents, and turrentcurrents running at all times during such an endeavor. Always.

Even if she insists it is simply recreational, it will not be so. So be prepared for all the typical female bullshit the second you - understanding your relationship to be nothing more than friends + fucking - decide to seek out a true relationship (if you want one, that is).

Also be prepared for phone calls, fights, arguments, awkward situations both during and outside sex, and all the other unsavory things no one likes to endure, but endure anyway.

This is my gift to you - the knowledge that no woman undergoes sex without much deeper feelings. The kind of feelings that Peter Griffin says to drink until they can't be felt anymore.
I wouldn't mind one bit if it turned into a relationship. And she seems to be showing more signs towards wanting a relationship anyway. Case in point, we'll be hanging out this weekend, and I'm going to see what she wants to do, relationship-wise or other wise.

Also, today was my first day of school and my first day being a senior. And let me say this: I can get away with anything. fucking anything.

And it is quite tough to keep up with the OTT while at school.

Get back to work. Seriously. Don't end up like me: 18 and trying to figure out mettalurgy and magnetism. Just be a good student and fuck the girl and enjoy it. I mean, I''m trying to figure out what scalar means. I could be doing something cool.

I was gonna wrap it up, the world does not need a young version of me running around.

I'm getting back to this thing after school, I dont have any computer classes this semeseter

5. I'd move any open food into sealed containers that are in cabinets or cupboards. In the past, I've tossed that stuff into the fridge while they're working on it.

6. Close off any pets into an area they're not likely to enter to spray, with a big sign "Pets Inside - Do Not Open".

7. Be there, if you can be, to keep an eye on 'em. Especially if you're worried about stuff disappearing.

Can't do anything like that about pets...as we have a cat here we're not supposed to have. I'm gonna have to take her over to my parents very very early in the morning and keep her there for the day...

Might be why they're being so insistant on doing the spraying.

Methinks I'd keep an eye on them, regardless. Something stinks a little.

Well, they don't know we have it...everytime the landlord comes over I take the cat over to my parents house for the day.

I'm tired of living here anyhow, because we've been here not quite a year and our dogs have been over at my parents and its starting to get to us. I'd honestly like to look into getting a house, but I think the most we could shoot for is one for less than 100k, and here thats a little hard for one in a decent area.

I really need to look into programs that help people buy their first homes. I currently don't have a job, but I do get a monthly annuity check for 800, and between me and my partner, we make about 28k a year. And for the price of renting a place that allows pets, I could pay a mortgage payment. So thats the biggest reason why I'd like to get a place of our own. I don't want to have to constantly move once a year.
$28k between both of you? Wow, that sucks.
Well, he makes quite a bit over 9 an hour, but I just went with 9/hr. Yeah, being an asst mgr at 7-11 isn't that well paying of a job.

I've honestly thought about creating a topic asking for suggestions and tips, but it seems everytime I look into programs and other stuff related with buying a house I feel severly overwhelmed
Something stinks a little.
i agree, and it's not the dirty gym socks under your bed.
$28k between both of you? Wow, that sucks.
If things work out and I move in with a good friend of mine next year, we'd be lucky to make $28k together. At least with my salary right now; hopefully I can persuade my boss to gimme a raise.

Yay entitlement. :D

Does your good friend know you like to jerk off to pictures of animals that act like people? I think that's something you should mention before Moving Day.

How do you think they met ;)

The way kudzu thrives is that it gets the most sunlight possible. So, it climbs trees, phonepoles, whatever it can to get as much sun as possible. By doing so, when it piggybacks on another plant (tree in this case), it takes up all the available sunlight and the tree is starved and cannot photosynthesize. Thus, death.

Kudzu almost can't be killed. It'll get brown, but it won't die. fucking heavy bitch, too.
