I would like to also point out that if you are having trouble hosting games on Bnet (and opening router ports doesn't help), you and your opponent can play a game through a virtual LAN through the program Hamachi (download the free version). Make your own server and password and tell others the server name and password and have them join it. Then go to the LAN (UDP) multiplayer option in Starcraft and you'll be able to make games and others will be able to join. I've been using this with my friends for the past few months with success most of the time.
