The new Sega Genesis emulator on Steam is uploaded and it is pretty amazing so far. I tried some games that I remember having audio issues in the past and they sound fine, plus not having to deal with the previous version's dumb game selection menu is a plus.

The only issues I had with it were that filters were turned on by default (there's a TV fishbowl effect and 2XSai filtering) and the default controls were pretty weird (Dpad was Left Stick, A is A, B is B, and C is Right Bumper?!). But both can be changed pretty easily.

All Genesis packs are 66% of ($2.55 for packs of 10 games), the Collection that includes packs 1 through 4 is $10.18, and the collection with all the games plus all the Sonic games, both Toe Jam & Earl games and Sonic CD is $21.08.
If you buy the full collection do all the games show up individually in your Steam library, or are they all just accessed through a single entry (Sega Collection or whatever it's called)?

They show up under DLC for Sega Genesis & Mega Drive Classics
Yep, you only get one listing for "Sega Genesis & Mega Drive Classics" in your game list, and all the games show up in the DLC tab. So no matter how many games you own, it's just a +1 in your game list and profile. (In fact the individual games don't even show up in your profile, which is a shame since you can't actually show off what game you're playing, you know?)

Edit: Downloadable game hacks are now available in the Workshop!

Edit 2: ... and someone uploaded Contra Hard Corps. Oh boy...

I think Amazon is sending out Overwatch beta keys if you pre-order from them. They dpn't charge you till the game comes out which is the 23rd so you get free beta access on May 3rd, pretty good deal.

I got my beta codes almost immediately from amazon. Ended up canceling and ordering from BB though. Same price + $10 reward cert with GCU.

Everyone and their cat has been buying Big Pharma at $5 but if it's a glitch it has lasted such a length of time that only Gamersgate would be stupid enough to let a glitch run for.

Apparently, putting your game $10 at 40% off then the very next day $5 at 80% off without comment is a great way to get a ton of people who don't give a shit about your game and otherwise would have waited for it to be bundled (cheaply).

Gotta spend those GabeN bucks on something!

It is a great strategy if it was intentional. I was looking at it a few days ago because it was on sale and steam decided to recommend it to me. Today it pops up for $5 and I got Gaben bucks burning a hole in my pocket.

So basically game is $5 for a couple of days = meh

Game is $5 but oopsie you accidently on purpose weren't supposed to have it for that price = O M G MUST HAV NAO!!!

For some people I am sure that is it. Personally, had it been $5 and 80% off when I saw it before I would have bought it then. That said, I am sure people calling it a glitch did effect my pulling the trigger quickly.

It was in that Humble Make Your Move bundle a couple of months ago that a bunch of people bought but at the low or mid tier. Admittedly the $15 tier is kind of high, but it also came with Chaos Reborn and as I remember the BTA wasn't all that cheap in the mid tier for most of the duration.

Plus $15 doesn't really sound all that outrageous anymore given how many people blind moran the $12 monthly.

I am actually kinda surprised I didn't buy it in the Humble Bundle. Completely missed that one and I was definitely in bundle buying mode in February.

^$15 for indie games versus $12 for AAA + indie? I'd go for $12

5€ for game I'll never play? I have done worse...

I could also wait until it's bundled and everyone is desperate to get rid of their extra keys sound like win-win...

The Sega Genesis Workshop is a laughing stock.

The upload of Contra Hard Corps got taken down but somebody else just comes along and uploads it again.

On top of this the same person uploaded Shadowrun as well as a game that's already sold on Steam Wonder Boy in Monster World and he uploaded it as a mod for Golden Axe. The joker even has the nerve to comment on the upload with "Don't tell Sega".

This isn't even mentioning the many times people have uploaded Donkey Kong and Mario Bros. games.

Edit: And Wolfenstein 3D

welcome back Lostnumber.  You have posted something that only the real Lostnumber would have posted... sensible and useful

So what happened to your brother? Did you spanky spanky that bad boi?  :D/

Anime sale sucks, only because Trigger Happy Havoc is just 20% off =/.

Big Pharma Is worth the $5, base game is more logistics puzzle then management game. Haven't gotten to mess around much with the new more management-y features of the dlc yet.

The DLC wasn't even on sale. Go 2 ur spank caeg u bad boi.

Joke's on you guys. I actually played me some Big Pharma last night.

It's like Spacechem but with a cutesy look, and although I didn't understand it all at first glance I've since spent all morning working out how I'll play it. I like games that make me think about them when I'm not playing them.

Might suck in the long run but I'm happy with a glitch for once. Thanks, Madjoki.

:whee:

I haven't had one ever but I can't help but fear them coming. Like a lot of folks I have one choice for internet in my area. Already pay more than I should for a 50/10 connection ($65 iirc).

Is it really that expensive to send data through a line

Seriously

I live in a goddamn third world country and I don't have a data cap, and I know people that download 100 GB a day or more. The second biggest ISP here did institute a data cap but the rules are so murky nobody really knows how much data you can actually download before your account gets canceled permanently.

The rules are if they decide they don't like you the cartel comes to your house and takes you out for a nice one way ride.

Well I guess that's sort of encouraging. I still don't like the idea and don't see the point if the average user only downloads 60GB, but you are charging them for 1000 or 300 or whatever, you should have enough profit margin to absorb the "abusers" aka regular internet users. ATT recently informed me they are switching us over to unlimited data so my gamble/switch ended up paying off for the time being.

I've been paying an extra $35 a month to get unlimited from CC, was using around 500GB a month or so, I'll go back to normal if they update it to 1TB
