EUROVISION SEMI FINALS ON RIGHT NOW BABY

Missed the start, they're already at #11 with Cyprus who appear to have imprisoned their band in a faux prison. Or it could be authentic Cypriot housing. It's hard to tell.

:whee:

I hope this doesn't mean all Disney / LucasArts games will get delisted.

I got my $70 lenovo mice today. Damn, that was fast for free shipping.  They look and feel like expensive mice from outside the packaging at least.  They are big AF too.  My CM Storm Spawn finally died on me the other day so I think I'll keep one as a replacement for my laptop mouse.  The other one is already ready to be gifted to someone.  Nice mice though.

I put a Bluray drive in my computer last time I upgraded.  I don't even know if it opens though... it might be defective.

Okay for the last time no one in murica besides you MysterD gives two shits if they get a disc for a PC game.

Get a time machine or move to Europe.

I'm sure some people might have slow/weak/cheap Internet; might not want to blow-up their actual data cap w/ their ISP (if they have one); and/or actually just what a physical copy of the game for them ahead of time.

It won't matter that much to me, as I do have fast Internet; hey, I do feel I have to, in this digital-deal crazed era.

But, it might matter to someone else. [shrug]

ya i wouldnt mind some kind of physical copy :) saves time downloading...that way we could just install right away...there now we're the only 2 ppl who care :D

Pretty sure the last boxed game I actually bothered to use a disc for greeted me with a patch that was almost the same size as downloading the game to start with.

Please, I'm fairly certain Uzbekistan has faster internet than a lot of murica and pays less for it.

Yea, the US is sadly behind the times when it comes to internet speed. Thanks enforced monopolies and companies lobbying for laws that prevent local governments from providing service.

That's because the release date has become more important to most game companies than actually finishing their game. After all, if they ship without something finished, they can always sell it as DLC later. And if they ship with major bugs, the community will patch the game for them.

My internet bandwidth is only 4Mb, and I still don't want any physical media. Not for games, not for music, not for movies. Totally impractical, they get scratched, lost, broken... I'd rather download or stream. Netflix, Deezer... Cheap and effective.

PC Gamer -> Battlefield 1 PC retail box in North America will only come with a box + a digital code.
No discs will be inside the box.

I don't know - but isn't it time PC at retail just forces/adopts either BR format, BDXL format, or just ship games with a USB flash drive that has enough space to hold the entire game?
That's what happened with the Battlefront game. I had a $50 Gamestop credit and picked it up, was surprised they actually took the time to make a physical copy of it when it had only a sheet of paper

Probably for Grandmas who want to buy a gift for their idiot 15 year old grandsons which is the target audience.

Either that, or someone at EA really likes MysterD to keep making those damned boxes.

Pretty much. They want to have something to put on the shelf at Walmart, Target, etc. And people are used to seeing boxes -- trying to explain to mom or grandma that this little card really does have the game is more trouble (and may result in less sales) than just making a 7¢ box.

FTFY

Looks like Shan Gui got removed from steam, and all unused keys were invalidated. Hope none of you were dumbasses that hold off on activating keys.

Doesn't seem like much of a loss to me, it seemed like one of the shittier quality VNs on steam. Luckily we've been getting really high quality ones lately
You know, I thought it was okay. Not super polished or a perfect 10/10, but I certainly don't feel like reading through it was a waste of my time. It told a short, charming story in an effective way.

Last physical PC game I bought was Bioshock Infinite...it did help it install faster on Steam at least.

IndieGala is giving away free copies of Top Trumps Turbo, which was a +1 for me and something I may actually play a game of.

EDIT: Tried it, it's poop  :speaktothehand:

A word of forewarning for any potential Vive purchasers: Be absolutely sure you want it and/or are willing to part with $840 'cause them mother fuck ers will NOT cancel an order. Decided I wanted a GTX 1080 instead, so I emailed them twice a week for the last 2 with the simple request of "cancel order #". Then did a live chat with a rep, who assured me he'd get the order cancelled, only for those crooked dicks to charge me the following morning AND then send me an email assuring me my order would ship in May...

Now, everyone tell me how dumb I was to begin with.

God, dude, you're so entitled. Like you order something and then want to cancel it before they ship it to you? Even though you've been waiting for months for it and you contacted them three times? So entitled dude. I hope they charge you for five Vives and send you one Muerte.

is it ILLEGAL and un-ETHICAL to do that?

it's one thing to REMOVE IT from store but to invalidate existing, already-paid-for key? WOW..

can i just get my shitty game on Steam, sell for you bozos for real cash.. then rip you off with invalidating the existing key?

I blame Valve. It used to be revoking was almost never done and only in the most severe cases, like documented fraud.

Now they've given any idiot savant developer the keys to the kingdom to do whatever the fuck they want and basically wash their hands of it.

That being said, people don't sit on keys. Seriously.
