I seriously think the Overwatch community is starting to become too big for its own good. Today about 85-90% of games I was in was full of people who should not be playing shooters period. Horrible team choices, no understands to get on the point, no one knows what the hell team comp is. It was painful to even play they were so bad.
Oh, sweet - lots of noobs! :)

Good to know!

Oh god, this weekend was noob city. One example is playing a control map where you hold the one control point till your team's bar reaches 100%, and until I joined the team there was no offensive heroes.

You're being "that guy" that I always mute for constantly complaining about "the team" in TF2, Dota 2, and almost any competitive team game.

Everyone was a noob once and being bad is how you learn. The game just came out, chill.

Oh don't worry, soon enough everyone will move on to the next hot game of the moment and Overwatch will be a ghost town. Noob problem solved.

idk, its a Blizzard game so that may take awhile.

Though I fairly sure there are no noob problems in Battleborn

EDIT: Ninja'd by Waggles, took my Battleborn joke

I've really enjoyed Overwatch so far and, as a nice surprise, I don't seem to suck. Last night was different though. Found a solid group but some of the combos were silly. One had five soldiers which made it impossible to capture a control point. Another had four turret builders on a payload map. All the while nobody's offering any help other than "wtf no healer" or "no tank!??!". I WAS the tank, dumbass. And we didn't get anywhere so I tried something new.

Like Voken says, we learn through failure. My time with the game thus far has been either silent or helpful. Maybe Saturday night is just when grumpy gamers get their playtime.

:whee:

TF2 came out a million years ago and most people on public servers still haven't noodled out that you don't need seven snipers, that pushing the cart is the point of Payload or that shooting the medic is smarter than shooting the giant guy the medic is healing.

That's what made it fun.

I can't wait for competitive matches to come out. I'm hoping people who play will understand it's not about running around getting the most kill with pretty new characters.   :wall:

"Yay" for the Steam-game +1. :)

Buttleborn gon' make a cumback.
Maybe if it goes F2P it will...

I think the only Redux worth buying was the Metro Redux. The original went through some changes on the way stealth mechanics works and how the game looks. Not only that, the performance was so much better since they port the improved engine from Last Light to 2033.
Well, the lighting system especially + textures do look A LOT better in Dead Island: Definitive...

...in which this remaster got moved over onto the newest version of Techland's Chrome Engine that Dying Light also is on.

Does anyone have a guide to setting up that WinAuth program thing to list cards on Steam? I think I'm going to have to use that to get rid of all my inventory to get some extra Gabenbux.

Reading the Hard Reset thread to the end, it sounds as though the claims in the OP are a bit exaggerated. Others didn't have quite the same experience.

So I bought xcom 2 deluxe edition from greenmangaming and I'm worried it won't run on my sell xps 13 laptop, anyone try xcom 2 on Intel HD card? It's latest sky lake or whatever architecture

A Skylake CPU won't solve your video card problem. AVOID any sort of Intel HD boards. Those are just not good at all for modern-day PC gaming period.

Did you even look at the XCOM 2 Steam Community Discussion Boards to look & see if anyone mentioned on how it performs on Intel HD cards? Also, which Intel HD card do you have?

If you're doing any sort of modern PC gaming, you seriously NEED a decent (i.e 2GB or more VRAM) AMD Radeon or NVidia GeForce card, whether you're on a laptop or a desktop.

A lot of newer games (Witcher 3, AC: Unity, AC: Syndicate, etc) actually require 2GB or more VRAM, these days and age. It's kind of amazing that XCOM 2 recommends 2GB video card, yet only actually requires 1GB video card.

RE-EDIT:

You could also do some Youtube searches for "XCOM 2 Skylake Intel HD."

So, here's some videos, I'm going to bury in Spoilers of it running on Intel HD boards.

Here's a Youtube video of someone running XCOM 2 on a i5 4200U with a Intel HD 4400 at 800x600 resolution at very low settings (ewwwwwwwwwwwww!) + with performance all over the place:

Here's another video, on a Skylake i7 6700K with a Intel HD 530 iGPU at 1366x768 at minimum settings:

Hard Reset Redux also tones down difficulty a lot to make it playable on game pads.

Like Shadow Warrior, sometimes dashing insta-kills if you do it on slope/angle. So don't do that :p

This is why you should play with friends.

A 5 man team would get you far in Overwatch when rank comes.

Did they add any extra difficulty settings in HR Redux?

That's not TF2 common sense, that's video game common sense. Even back to NES RPGs in the 80s kill the god damned healer first, duh.

It doesn't list for you. It just makes it so you don't have click and approve each listing every time by clicking approve on your cell phone. You also need a mobile number to get started and set it up. If you don't have a cell phone because Mexico or some crap then you can't use it.

If you want something to auto list then you need Steam Inventory Helper. But you probably won't want to use it because you're Paranoid and the paranoid people stopped using it because the dude that made it turned it over to some Counter Strike Go people or something.

As for instructions there should be instructions on the respective sites you get those programs from.

Stop interrupting our making fun of a redux with your sensibility!

Some AU Overwatch players may be experiencing latency or disconnections. We are investigating this now.

sounds like overwatch is going down the drain!

Disappointing if true. Hard Reset already had gamepad support, I played most of the game with one and it was perfectly playable.

I do think the dash move is a good addition though, regardless of input method the movement in the game just felt too damn slow and it was nearly impossible to dodge those charging enemies at times.

I seriously think the Battleborn community is starting to become too small for it's own good. Today about 85-90% of games I was in was full of the same people I've played 5 min ago. Pre-arranged team choices, camping at spawning spot, everyone knows what the hell is going on except me. It was painful to even play because they were so elite.

:whistle2:

p.s. why you bitching so much about Overwatch? it's NOOB hunting season. Fresh meat for the grinder :D/

This sounds like every bro night where we enter empty servers and out of nowhere every elite player logs on to murder us.

get a google number via VPN
I don't think it works with virtual numbers but I don't know.

If you don't have a damned cell phone in this day and age then kiss your cards goodbye and consider the 12 cents you won't get on each game a punishment tax for living in the stone age.

That moment when you read about a neat sounding older game and go to add it to your Steam wishlist only to find out you've owned it for years.

I thought I was doing pretty good at level 71 in Overwatch.  I played against somebody today that was level 105.  (a star and a 5 under their name)

I'm not even sure WHAT thread to put this in but I'll just toss it here...   So I was goofing off with a new character in the Division, was rearranging my stash space (plus extra space via extra characters) and came to the conclusion I really didn't like the way one of my characters looked.  So I made a new one.  Which meant I really needed to play the first three missions again with said new character...

And, well, I ran into someone who said he just got the Division from the Humble Bundle...  So I guess people who dropped big bucks on bundles do exist.

I too paid $75 for Humble Division Bundle!

Sounds like xcom 2 won't run on my laptop, anyone want to buy the digital deluxe code from me? Same price I got it from greenmangaming 40.xx
Well...given the requirements + what similar laptops to yours have from those videos - it'll run, but not very well (i.e. maybe 30 FPS tops at low res's and expect framerate hits) + it certainly won't look good either.

And The Cesspool's over here, if you're looking to sell or trade keys:

New cheap bundle that tiers down if you own one or more of the games

http://store.steampowered.com/bundle/475/

Not 7 cent cheap but still better than Poopees!
Awesome, it seems like I had a copy of Cube Land Arena laying around. I'll take it for $0.58 in Gaben bux. Thanks!

Edit: Dodged a bullet. Apparently the Ninja Stealth was in a Poopees bundle. I shall bide my time and jump in for $0.29 instead!

Dev is saying he didn't get paid by Poopees. :p Poopees AOL 90s chat Kool Aid drinker White Knight kalirion is defending them. I guess Shoppa had something to do with this game? I don't know, Coral is probably more up to date on the drama.

*Edit: apparently Shoppa has nothing to do with it other than throwing his two cents in to stick it to Jonny. Dev still didn't get paid though so who knows when keys are happening.

Apparently I own it too on Poopees but oh well.
