Leave my Motoki alone guyz. He is too busy right now, with great honor being in charge of Valve new offices move.

You know, he must decorate new offices with Nicki Minaj posters everywhere.

You can now confirm in bulk from the app. I'm not sure if there's an automaton out there that can do the work for you, but for me, manually adding my cards to the market and confirming them is one of the few things I like about being alive.
How exactly do you do this from the app? I can never find an option.

Jim Sterling's site is getting DDoS attacked because he wasn't impressed with No Man's Sky and someone was upset about the less than glowing review.

How pathetic do you have to be to DDoS someone over a negative game review.
Not really surprising, considering that when the No Man's Sky devs delayed the game, quite a few "fans" decided to "encourage" them with death threats: https://twitter.com/NoMansSky/status/736686755139719168

I know death threats are a serious thing but I always have to wonder how many of them are serious. In this day and age, it's really not hard to create a new gmail/twitter/facebook account and send a quick "fuck you I hate you I'm gonna kill you" message without really thinking twice about it. I mean, I've gotten death threats just playing online multiplayer in certain games, but I've never thought twice about them nor been scared for my life.

Plus it always boggles my mind how these people who receive death threats always gotta go on twitter/facebook to brag about it. Why don't you report it to the police like a normal, sane person would? Something tells me a lot of these "death threats" are overexaggerated to make the person seem like the Biggest Victim in the Room™.

Again, I'm not trying to downplay it or make light of the situation, but something tells me there's more to this than they're telling us.

No but in general I think to myself... "man, I'm too fat for this sheot" and then just don't bother because I've got better stuff to do with my time. Apparently people think it's "cool" to send death threats. If the po-po would make a couple of people the example, you'd see a surprising trend.... Donald Trump locked up ba-dum-dum!

I just bought a Logitech G502 and gotta say it's a beauty. Will try it tonight.
I love my G602. So much so I bought a second for my laptop (laziness.. see above)

If a Steam game releases, say, on a Friday, when does it typically become playable? Midnight on Thursday? Does time zone matter? Is it utterly inconsistent and vary by game?

JUST CURIOUS

I'd say 99,9% are simply mentally and/or emotionally unstable people, caught up in their emotions, trying to let out the frustration onto someone they perceive as having the most fault. These people don't mean it - they're just feeding they're ego (perhaps perceiving themselves as dangerous when they dole out serious threats), trying to vent their frustration and can't control what they communicate to other people. If they were next to you when you angered them, you might get a punch in the face at most.

The remaining 0.1% are serious cases of sociopathy (psychopaths are usually much more manipulative and less impulsive; the likeliest death threat you'll receive from them is when one of them is standing behind you with a knife, slitting your throat). These people might actually try to kill you if you broke the news right in front of them. However, due to their impulsive nature, chances of one actually dedicating tons of time, trying to track you down, planning out the assault and then carrying out the deed (couple that with him/her being unable to locate you) is rather slim. Though there have been cases of attempted murder when someone was angered online, as far as I remember, most of those didn't involve the attacker exclaiming how he's going to decorate his Christmas tree with your entrails.

Looking at the other side of the situation, the people receiving those death threats (in this case the No Man's Sky devs) are somewhat well adjusted individuals, potentially with a more technical mindset (in this situation), which in turn causes them to perceive the threat as if a person like themselves sent it - that being actually real and dangerous. Stress and fear, despite their conscious mind trying to calm them down, builds up and to relieve it (and give the police a lead in the etremely rare case if it actually happenned) they post about it on social media.

This has been a psychology lesson by Not-Dr. 75 Off'ers (please research this crap; I don't guarantee any accuracy over the shards of psychology knowledge I picked up from the various places of the Internet).

P.S. They might have filed a police report AND posted about it on their social media, you never know. Then again, seems that the police are keeping such records in a "Investigate when reporter gets (nearly) murdered" folder, unless you're someone influential or well known.

It's typically up to the dev - they can set the game to unlock at any time. NMS seems to be set for 12pm Eastern on Friday (1 day 16 hours as of this post).

It's a finely honed skill that comes with years of PC gaming and avoiding consoles. I've never understood the 'd00d you have to play to have an opinion' argument. It's not a visceral game like an ARPG or shooter (you can argue Killing Floor has better gun kinesthetics than a Source engine game). It's an exploration/builder game that relies on procedural generation which I've already stated is a mistake for that genre. It's shallow and boring like Starbound is shallow and boring. The two games are fundamentally the same, one just has prettier graphics.

Still looking forward to NMS myself and I have Friday off... Hrmm... Everything I've seen, wading through the good and bad of reddit et al, seems to me like it's something I can lose myself in as I love survival games, but tend towards the single player ones as I don't like my sand castles kicked over by the mean bullies teenagers with more game-play time than me.

Thx MysterPsyD!

I could tell just by looking at pictures of Sakura Clicker that I'd only need to play the game for 9 minutes and I was right.

Not quite sure what the second part means (sure, I do tend to provide "psychological" analysis for random situations in the same way a redneck provides scientific analysis by attempting to saw a grenade open to see what's inside - with little actually useful (or accurate) information and no regard for how bad of an idea it might be, both for me and others, who unfortunately are witness to said act - and have a habit of buying only games discounted by 75% but many others do as well, right?.. right?) but I'm sure as hell gonna take that thx.

Brodate:
Yesterday we tried playing Roguelands which sucked big time so we switched over to Golf With Friends which was fun for what it was.

Tonight we played Supraball and it was a really fun game.  It's soccer with an orb instead of a ball and an orb gun instead of your feet.  You can hop all over the place and use a shield and it sounds wacky, but is pretty fun.

Yea, for a free game its pretty damn good, its not like Digital Homicide type trash and actually worth some time. I'd play it again. That said, it's almost too much of a similar game like Rocket League for my tastes. It just doesn't do a whole lot that RL doesn't do better.

I didn't hate it and I would play it again, but its not something I'd play regularly.

Indeed it is, sir.  Anyone want my Kholat key from the $1 tier of the Humble?  Looks like a crap not-game walking sim I have no interest in 'playing.'  Even with Sean Bean.

@JuanJava

Would like to hear more on this mouse, when you get a chance.

@CAG Boards

So, I always thoughts Logitech has usually not only the best mice (i.e. see G600 MMO Mouse - love that thing), but also the best profiling software for games + best support on dealing w/ extra mice buttons.

So, my question is this - are there any other 3rd party mice app's profiling programs for games/app's?

I have the free X-Mouse Button - but that only goes say far, supporting mice w/ 5 buttons; I do have mice w/ more buttons than that.

Also, this mouse for $15 on NewEgg looks interesting w/ its 3 buttons on the side set-up:

OK. About the G502.

It's a bit hard to get used to it coming from a CM Xornet (claw) but it is comfortable, is just a matter of time.

The optic sensor is amazing. Played a bit of R6 siege and aiming was really accurate, easy and natural. Still need to configure some buttons.

The buttons are really well placed and very responsive. Only the "sniper" button is a bit upfront for my taste. I like how corsair changed it on their new M65.

The wheel is fantastic. I just love it.

Still haven't played with macros (besides the DPI changing)

I didn't thought I'll end up adjusting the weight of any mouse, always thought it was just a gimmick. Believe me, it is great and useful.

You phone needs moar VRAMS
It's my tablet and it does need more VRAMs, but that's mostly what I use it for nowadays. My phone is a Fire phone and while Steam has the Steam app for the Fire devices it doesn't recognize it as "mobile" so it won't let me use it for the authenticator.

Oddly enough, my tablet struggles with basic tasks now, but can play Crashlands fine. Go figure.
