This thread will attempt to provide a place to discuss past/present/future PC gaming deals. While mainly focusing on Steam games, any standout sales may also be presented. I will not be updating every Daily/Weekly/etc. sale. The tools to help individuals become a smarter shopper will be provided below.

See this POST for links to store sale pages, threads of interest and other tools to help you become a more informed PC game shopper.

Thank you Wolfskinstein!

Edit:

On a semi-related note, I exceeded my 300GB quota for my internet this month (did it on purpose as I needed to back up a whole bunch of videos/pics on One Drive) and used up one of my "courtesy" overages meaning I can go for broke between now and the end of the month. I've been downloading all the super huge steam games I can find (Wolfensteins, Vermintide, etc.) and was just wondering if you guys had any suggestions of unusually large Steam DLs I could queue up to take advantage of Comcast and their shitty policies as much as possible?
are you just trying to piss them off... or stuff you might play?

Marvel Heroes (16 GB)
Terra (Allot... I think like 30.)

Go crazy in the F2P section)

So I guess the only sale on FF V is the rather meh 50% off at the Squeenix store, huh?
Yeah, it's the only one I've seen. I can't find it on Amazon or newegg, I don't think GMG carries it either. Nevermind GMG carries it.

It's odd that hardly anyone carries it, but I suppose it could be because it was released in September.

A little both. I might just go crazy in the F2P section and delete everything afterwards. I think the 300GB cap is so fucking asinine. I mean DLing and HD movie you purchase is like 6-7GBs by itself.

From what I read Comcast I just testing that cap in certain markets. Hopefully it fails and they just go back to unlimited...I have fios but when I move I'll only have Comcast as an option.

Not a game deal but a question.  I broke down and got this today http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814487142

EVGA GeForce GTX 980 Ti 06G-P4-4995-KR 6GB SC+ GAMING w/ACX 2.0+, Whisper Silent Cooling w/ Free Installed Backplate Graphics Card
and am thinking if 2 of these would go well with it

ASUS VG248QE Black 24" Gaming Monitor, 144Hz 1ms (GTG), 3D Monitor, Height & pivot adjustable, 350 cd/m2, Built-in Speakers

Any opinions/advice on gaming monitors, either 144hz (any size) or maybe a good 27in (60hz) that would be less or around $250 each and would take advantage of the cards power for gaming on multiple screens?

What do you like to do?

My personal optimal setup is a 144hz monitor as my main screen since I play CSGO. My 2nd one is a POS, but when I upgrade it will be an IPS.

144hz is a must for FPS games on PC. Don't go over 24 inches (at least at 1080p).

(also my main monitor is that one you linked. you can download a profile onto it after hooking it up to make it look alot better - I don't "game" on two monitors since it's pointless; one is just for random junk on the side...even porn if you like to play games while watching)

I mostly play some FPS (Battlefield 3-4) and RPGs (Fallout 4, Sword Coast Legends, etc). Where do you get the profile download for the monitor? I just want 2 monitors cause I want to slurge for once, I already have a Dell SP2309W that's been my main for years.

Google Fiber will be in the area within a few years, I think otherwise AT&T might be my other option, but I heard bad things about them. We manage with the cap, but I only DL games I need to play (basically bro games) and have all my Steam games set to not auto update. The wife streams a lot so overall 300GB is a ridiculous cap. If it was 1TB then it'd be reasonable even if it was still bullshit.

So far, all I've done is back up my family movies/pics to one drive, downloaded some Steam games, and DLed some Windows 10 movie rentals and I'm at twice the cap.

We just got fiber through Centurylink here in Seattle so I ditched Comcast. About time too. Gigabit fiber is nice that limits crap is so last decade.

Happy CAG super bowl everyone!

Except.. it's more like the Eagles v. Lions game.

Anything great on sale since yesterday? Making sure before I go out Black Friday shopping to Home Depot for paint supplies.

P.S. This drinking game reading the overnight thread is fun as hell. :)
Happy economic stimulus day to you, too.

And if there's not enough outrage in this thread Agentghost is furrrious that there's not a 10 cent app sale for Windows 7 and never you mind that Windows 7 doesn't have an app store. Mere technicalities.

Just wrote to steam support and they offered me a free steam controller for my troubles. WTF IS THIS SHIT, I want GTA5, not some shitty steam controller

PM'd GTAV at Walmart for 75-80%, then took my receipt to Target and got another copy for an extra 10% with Cartwheel. Next stop Best Buy, gonna make a cool $2.50 with GCU trade-in!

just called steam customer service and complained that I did not get 75% off gta V, they gave me a steam wallet code for $25 for my trouble.
Some ad organization burned them on the horrible GTA5+MMObux sale and GTA5's steam review page is still full of people buttmad over that sale. Valve must be scared.

Assassin's Creed Black Flag is 75% off today, don't think it was on sale earlier.  I am tempted by the gold edition but I don't know if I can make myself pull the trigger when I passed on it at $12.50 on steam a year or two ago.  Ubisofts steam sales have been super garbage since they started pushing Uplay so I'm still tempted though.

Witcher 3 is a 4 hour flash sale 56% off plus an additional 10% off voucher at Greenman.

Seems legit authorised.

You also passed on the gold edition when it had a price mistake at $5.99!

If it helps at all it's 75% off at Amazon too and they still have some Steam keys for it left over from the Tony era.

That's the corporate office. I'm certain there's none of their "support" people there since I live in the area and have noticed them hiring for a number of various positions but never support and I've never run into anyone that works for their support, unlike say Nintendo or Microsoft or Amazon or other companies in this area.

From what I understand, the amount of people they have working at their corporate is fairly small for a company with their revenue flow and I believe their support to be outsourced, though with that like everything else they tend to be all Ancient Chinese Secret about it.

Does Fallout 4 boxed come with a DVD or code? I want to take advantage of the Newegg sale but my laptop doesn't have a DVD drive.

It comes with both a DVD and a Steam code. The DVD only installs ~5 GBs of the ~26 GBs needed.

Amid the afternoon doldrums and lack of overall black Friday excitement, I finally hit the 3,000 game plateau thanks to Just Cause 3. I'll celebrate next week by blowing shit up and wreaking havoc on my unsuspecting prey.

This is the game that has those dinosaurs everyone keeps talking about, right?  :whistle2:k

Mind you, with the Steam key, you don't need the DVD it comes with at all so not having a drive shouldn't be an issue.

Someone was discussing the Evil Within season pass (and lack of a discount on Steam) and the search function sucks too much for me to see if it was mentioned but it's $5 on Gamersgate.

Yeah, I just saw this.

So, anybody got any thoughts on the 3 DLC's for Evil Within?
