Can somebody please explain to me why Steam is the worst site in the God damned universe about retaining their damned cookies? Seriously, I don't have this issue at any other site but there I frequently have to re-sign in on the Web literally ever 5 minutes or less. And it's always been this way for me.

Sometimes it will be fine and then other times I'm signing back in every 30 seconds.

What's worse is the mobile authenticator wanted me to enter their damned code in every time I did that so I turned it off.

The email Steam guard usually only bugs me once per device.

Christ Valve get your shit together! I know you've got more money than God and it's not like you're spending time making games or anything.

I thought that was just me having to sign in every five minutes because my work computer is shit (and my browser old as hell).  I don't seem to have the same issue from home where my computer isn't toeing the line of being an artifact.

Not saying your computer is an antique, rather that I guess it's less about my work computer sucking and perhaps just that Steam sucks.  Not as though I need to re-log into CAG or other sites six times a day.

Steam is more secure than bank websites man.

To be fair, my steam account is worth more than my bank account most of the time.

So I played a couple of hours of World of Soccer Online last night. It's brilliant ... a very fun and enjoyable online soccer game.

The presentation/UI of the game is a little basic but the actual game itself is great. It's 6-a-side soccer, the AI controls the goalies and any spare players that aren't under human control. It's fast and simple, like playing the old Sensible Soccer games from the 90s but you control a single player. If you play with a joypad you only have three buttons to worry about ... quick pass/header, chip/cross/slide tackle, and shooting.

It's also great in that as soon as a match is over, everyone can ready up and play again ... there's no loading or being thrown back to a lobby.

I like it a lot, I think I'll be playing this game a bunch.

It's free and easy to try, with it only being a 97MB download.

Knowing them they probably do something completely myopic like just test on one specific version of one specific browser.

I get it more on mobile Chrome these days but have at times got it on desktop chrome too.

We'll schedule a bro night if you promise to show up and bring an army of blue eyed, blond haired bros.

Spoder won't show up because he hates free games and sports games. Odd that he hates free games, since he spoders all his games. Not odd he hates sports games because he sucks at them and can't cheat. Seriously, last time we tried to play a sports game, Spoder tried to sit on the balls and asked what button to press to get them inside himself.

Dear MadJoki,

Thank you for getting the disappointment out of the way early and confirming what we already knew, that Humble manipulates the average before it goes live.

That said, zombie game in BTA might push me to donkeybro this.

You know what else is a turn based strategy game?  Tic-Tac-Toe.  And a wise computer told me once that the only winning move is not to play.

Since Breach & Clear is just fancy Tic-Tac-Toe... :speaktothehand:

I'd be down for next Saturday night (the 12th) for some ball games and brofisting.

Finally finished the Witcher 3.  182 hours and 56 minutes.

(and that was with time-saving mods like fast travel from anywhere, unlimited durability and unlimited inventory)

I don't think I've ever spent that much time on a single player game in my life.  Actually - amazingly - I feel kind of sad it's over.  Normally, by the time a game is done I am ready to move on to the next - but I will probably go back to TW3 when the DLC/season pass drops in price and the next expansion comes out.

Damn good game!  I heartily recommend it.

My three (tiny) gripes are: [no actual spoilers just hidden for space for those that don't care]
- I would have liked to see more/random NPC model diversity [once I saw 3 of the same exact model standing right next to each other in a cutscene (clothes and all) = immersion-breaking.]  Also, seeing the exact same NPC faces all over the place got annoying.
- A few more enemy monster types and some more diversity in the witcher contracts would have been nice. There are quite a few monsters from the books that aren't in the game at all (Bruxa's for example).
- I would have loved to be able to pause the game in the middle of conversations (of which there are a shit-ton). I can't tell you how many times I had to reload a previous save because I missed something important when my gf walked in and started talking to me or the phone rang, etc.

And then Glenn realized the most meaningful relationship in his life had just ended...

You can thank my sacrifice.
"The Deer" is an educational interactive experience for children. You'll interpred an ancient Deer during the Pleistocene epoch and you'll discover everything about this marvelous era. Unfortunately there were no T-Rexes during this age since those were already extinct millions of years before.
NOPE.

Also: "interpred"?

Race to zero!  All you cheapasses with < 1000 games have the advantage, however, since you were not properly motivated to add games, I sincerely doubt you'll be up to the challenge of removing them.  The gauntlet is laid.

When I tried to login last week, Steam demanded I give it a code from my mobile app. When I went to open my mobile app, it demanded I give it a code from my mobile app. :whistle2:k

Skip this "Remove game from my collection" stuff.

I don't care how great, good, horrible, or mediocre, or crappy it is.

If I don't care about it, I'll just filter it into a "Junk Games" category.

I'm all about the +1's.
