This thread will attempt to provide a place to discuss past/present/future PC gaming deals. While mainly focusing on Steam games, any standout sales may also be presented. I will not be updating every Daily/Weekly/etc. sale. The tools to help individuals become a smarter shopper will be provided below.

I went to move some cards that I had in my alt account's inventory so I can start crafting, and I get hit with some BS about my trade being on hold for 24 hours. What a pain in the ass.

It's been known they were going to do that for a couple of weeks or so. Definitely not worth using the mobile authenticator shit just for that. It loves to sign you out of Idle Master randomly, and whenever you log out to switch accounts you'll have to enter a code. Oh, and when steam goes down frequently (like today), you'll have to enter a code a million times to keep signing back in via browser.

Not only that, the market promo is really fuck ing confusing. The prices are often listed wrong so it makes selling for the exact price you want annoying. This whole thing is a clusterfuck, and the people responsible for the mobile authenticator crap, along with the market promo should be fired.

Okay but a Windows tablet isn't as lame as a Windows Phone tho.

I actually just bought some 99 dolla 8" Chinese tab on Amazon that's dual boot Windows and Android and it's surprisingly pretty sweet.

It's nice to have Steam installed on the go. Like real Steam Steam not just the web site. I can activate keys and go in group chat rooms and all that stuff that Valve still after all these years hasn't seen fit to make accessible via the web, and by extension most mobile devices.

So a Windows 10 tablet would work? The Surface 2 I won in a box of cereal ended up being a Surface 3 instead.

Sounds nice but it'd be a lot nicer if Valve got off its lazy collective ass and did something about that. Of course, making it easier to activate keys seems to be antithetical to all of this "well, let's make sure your account is as secure as Fort Knox" business they're pulling with these authenticators, Steam Guard, trading limits, et cetera.

Anyone ever think that more laws/rules/holds that people do just makes the people following the rules have to jump that many more hoops?  It'll never be good enough.  And frankly, the guys who want to be asshats are going to do so regardless of which new "rule" is implemented.  

It's that way with real life laws.  Let's pass gun control.  So that way all those gangs using all those illegally found guns will.... still have guns.

But it doesn't change the fact that Steam adds all this BS and people who want to circumvent it, will. Leaving the rest of us holding a bag of crap.

 
New Raiden Legacy pack on Steam is supposedly a new and improved version but people are saying it still runs like crap.  It was probably changed just enough to give them an excuse not to offer Steam keys for people that picked it up in the past via bundle.  And yes it is DotEmu.

I got a woot bag of crap once, years ago. Wasn't really worth it other than to say I got in on it.  I order from Woot maybe once a year. Most of the time they aren't really much cheaper than anywhere else and there are so many similar sites now. 

 
Anyway, join the Bros tonight for GRID Autosports.  We'll race a lot once we figure out how the MP works.  Spoder will win a lot.  I will resort to crashing into everyone at the beginning.  Nothing political will be said.  I am all out of chocolate so you won't even have to hear me eating delicious Lindt Milk Chocolate on Discord.
