Seriously. The first time I tried to use an SSD as a boot drive years ago it never worked quite well, filled up too quickly, and was as slow or slower than my regular HDD. I've run the programs, all say the drive is in good health. I've run all the guides to optimize Windows 10 for an SSD. Yet, this sucker is still taking longer to boot up than my HDD. My HDD would boot to the windows screen and log in in seconds. This boots to a windows screen with a turning wheel thing apparently loading or doing some bullshit. It takes a full 2.5 minutes before my icons show up on my desktop and 3.5 minutes before Chrome loads up. fuck SSDs. [/quote]
You may have checked this already but make sure you are using a SATA III port for the SSD. There may be more than one controller on the motherboard too so you could try a different port on another controller. Some controllers are very poor and don't work well with SSDs.

For some older hardware, it's better to use the SATA 2 ports controlled by the chipset, rather than the SATA 3 ones with an external controller.

Thanks for all the helpful suggestions CAGBros. I read up on it online and it looked like most people with similar issues it was due to cloning instead of fresh install. Most people have no issues with the cloning, but for most it seemed a format/fresh Windows 10 install did the trick. I just tried that since I had my drive backed up anyway and I can now get from powering on my PC to browsing CAG in 30 seconds or less. So I take back all the mean things I said about SSDs. They will allow me to get to my daily task of doing nothing and wasting time online as quickly as possible and for that I am thankful.

Now to reinstall all these programs...

It was just a few bros and an amigo. The amigo (Foxhack) is really good at fighting games. From the summers I spent in Mexico during my youth I can attest that the Street Fighter series has always been one of the most popular in Mexico so I assume little Foxhackio spent his childhood selling chiclets to get enough money for the arcade.

Parallacks sucked at it and called it a night early. Then Boobytastico finished his Domino's pizza and joined us. He was pretty good. Spoder found a few overpowered cheat chars, as always. I got some super cheap wins button mashing with E. Honda and Blanka. Poison has a secret.

So I have installed Discord, Steam, Uplay, Origin, and the AMD App. Am I missing anything that every gamer needs on their PC? Not installing Desura because it is dead, RIP. Any clients I am missing?

lol wat. I'd rather buy all of those crappy games than work for them. On the plus side, I guess moderating their steam group isn't much work.. but then you get to be affiliated with shitty orlygift which isn't worth the price.
