The Nonary Games has a page up on steam (Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors and Virtue's Last Reward). To celebrate, I'll give away 3 Frog Climbers keys (for those that missed out on the amazon glitch), and 1 key for Defense Grid 2.

Requirements:

1. Must not be a Walking Dead hater, this includes people that posted recently in the thread. Too late to delete your posts!

2. Be a regular and bitch to me about how entitled you are and how you need to be handed things for free.

3. Quote/reply to this post with which game you want and I'll check whose the most worthy entitled CAG. To prevent too much spam, I'll cut the giveaway off after 10 replies.
Ok, giveaway has been closed. Bah, Pengy, and Weiler got Frog Climbers for being active during bronights. Gave pasports Defense Grid 2 for having the best/funniest post. Would've likely given Frog Climbers to more people if I had more keys, but spoderfox regulars took priority.

I'm the opposite, hate playing most indie shit on handhelds. Would rather wait for it to be dirt cheap in a bundle or use steam wallet. There are very few exceptions for stuff I'd rather play on handhelds. I don't like paying a premium for bundle fodder
For some reason, I can't play anything knowing it's on PC

Hacked Vita, can easily play great indie games from devolver or Binding of Isaac and etc

hour public transit commute to work

but for some reason, i don't wanna

I've never understood why people would want to play mobile games on public transit when they could be staring at other passengers and making them feel uncomfortable instead.

Dishonored 2 PC requirements are up.

Miniumum specs are the typical requirements we see these days, but the "recommended" seems very stiff.

Is the "recommended" for max settings at like 4K or something?

  • 8 GB RAM; 60 GB free HDD space; NVIDIA GTX 660 2GB/AMD Radeon HD 7970 3GB or better
  • Contains a single disc. Download of additional files from Steam is required to run the game.

So instead of banning people that have literally porn screenshots with a image swap they never fixed they're just going to trust users to tag what's it is?
Not users. Developers. Because they all have a long history of being extremely trustworthy.

Yeah that's a valid point from a budget perspective and that is what this site is known for.

are you trying to trigger everyone in here? :whee:
Nah man, but I obviously did. :boxing:

Says the guy posting in a PC forum with a side-scroller avatar.
I played the game on the 360 when it was the best and really the only indie game machine out there at the time. Now, things are very different.

Those recommended requirements seem typical. GTX 1060 and RX 480 are mid-range cards. Who would play at 4K using these?
The 6GB VRAM NVidia / AMD 8GB VRAM in the "recommended" section is not typical. That is trend-setting.

eh.. wut? most of the indie games on X360 were also on PC.

I know b/c i own both
A lot of the best indie games like Limbo, Braid, Castle Crashers, Miner Dig Deep, etc all first came out on the 360. Xbox had a branch called "Xbox Live Arcade" that focused on getting good indie games.

Absolutely loving Titanfall 2 now. I probably haven't had this much fun with a MP FPS since the first two MWs. Not really too worried about whether or not MW: Remastered is ever sold separately anymore. Definitely a contender for the best shooter of 2016, especially if the campaign's as good as I've heard. Hopefully, the player base can stay alive this time thanks to the word-of-mouth I've been seeing as well as the free maps and modes.

u should have tried BF1.. it is the best shooter of the year

I am grateful that we have the best year for FPS in 2016

Battlefield 1, Titanfall 2, Gears of War 4 and Overwatch

(still looking for the "3" game but Mafia 3 sucks ball so can't be counted toward the big 4)

missing doom

also can we get back to talking about the required vram for dishonored 2

Naw...after roughly 40 hours it's not that great. Regressionary gameplay and weapon customization/selection.

I know it's in a different era than BF4 but give me a break, the game is hardcore lacking content and it's ridiculous. They should have learned with Battlefront.

TF2 is the FPS of the year so far..for sure.

I think ShadowEX answered the question best. If discussing playing at 1080p maxed out or light 1440, then the 1060 or 480 should do. If trying max 1440 or even going to 4k, 1070/1080 (referenced by the "or better part" in the recommended section).

Nevertheless MysterD, I agree with your point that the trend is more VRAM. It will be interesting when actual frames per second scores come out with newer games for the 480 and 1060 to see the difference the VRAM makes i.e. 4 vs. 8 for the 460 and 3 vs. 6 for the 1060. Honestly, if you are going to pay for a newer card, paying a little more the extra VRAM makes sense.

Congratulations to the winners. Thank you Spoder for the giveaway and the laughs that it brought.
