Looks like its one of the windows 8 ones

On a side note these things aren't THAT bad actually. My tech illiterate buddy bought one instead of a bone or PS4 and it actually handles pretty nice, played everything we've thrown at it so far with a little tweaking.

Of course don't go expecting desktop power, but for a living room HTPC its actually pretty sweet

Also its tiny and built like a tank, my friend already pulled it off his coffee table onto the concrete and it survived
What resolution, graphical settings, and FPS are stuff being run at there?

How are these titles holding up on that thing - Witcher 3? Homefront: The Revolution? Mafia 3? Dishonored 2? GTA5? Batman Arkham Knight?

Apparently Syntax recommends I go on an autistic journey enough that Steam keeps recommending me to do so and to buy some DLC for my journey too.

leaked battlefront 2 trailer, time for the hype leading to utter disappointment again

Bronight summary:

Tonight we played Move or Die, which is a fun party game with a lot of different modes and characters to unlock. Main goal of the game is to keep moving, otherwise you die, but when you add the additional objectives with each mode it ends up being pretty fun. Didn't have any issues with the netcode, everything was solid and there appears to be a very active community (same with Ultimate Chicken Horse) which is rare for MP indie games. You can sell any characters and modes that you unlock on the steam market and some of them actually sell for a fair amount (legendary rarity items go for around $4-7). We played for about an hour and a half and I ended up unlocking shit worth about $0.80 total so that's not bad at all when you compare it to similar indie games with the ability to sell items on the steam market (Disco Dodgeball, Battleblock Theater, etc.). You unlock stuff whenever you level up so the rate of unlocking is consistently fast, at least in the lower levels.

Fox and I wanted to keep playing, but Bah was getting bored of it so we switched to Ultimate Chicken Horse. I'll schedule Move or Die again for some other time, maybe this weekend. Overall, another high quality party game that was included in the Humble Hooked on Multiplayer bta tier.

I'll second Spoder's thoughts on Move or Die.  It's a fun party game with plenty of modes and stuff to unlock (or buy for a few cents if you get impatient).  I was having a blast and I am also apparently really good at the game or everyone else sucks.  I ended the night with a 47% win rate while spoder came in second with 27% and Bah and GBK were at 13% or less by then.  Bah, naturally, didn't like it because he sucked.  Last round Spoder and I got down 27-15 and I thought there was no chance in hell we'd even make it competitive and we ended up winning 35-34.  We switched to Ultimate Chicken Horse, but we're still hunting down that last elusive level unlock.  GBK passed out from too much purple drank during UCH and that might have explained his poor play in Move or Die.  Not sure if Bah had an excuse.

Never forget the Doom Rails night where I won every single round.

HyperX Cloud II Headset - $54.99

If anyone is in need of a good and comfortable pair of headphones eBay has these via an authorized Kingston dealer. They are re-certified and in 'Excellent condition' and they've sold 628 of them already.

I picked up a pair of these from Amazon last Summer. I can vouch for them being very comfortable and of good quality, especially for the price. Good for long gaming sessions too.

I swear this is the last time I post deal updates about Bayonetta...

Bundle Stars has the same deal Nuuvem is offering (15% off) for Bayonetta. Use the discount code EASTER5 for a final price of $16.14 in your cart. Lower by a whole PENNY!

Also, some UK store called Dreamgame has it for $15.21 (potentially before any payment fees). I've never heard of them but they've been around since 2013? Travel at your own risk I suppose.

Yea, I dont have this model but even their mid-range models are really good. I picked up the Cloud Stinger about 2 or 3 months ago on Ebay for $38 new. They're the best headset Ive had on the PC. My old pair used to fart out all the time for whatever reason, just on connection mainly, but they did the job otherwise but were relatively cheap. The HyperX's have yet to have even a minor issue.

On the one hand, I wanted to like Bayonetta's gameplay, but it was just so hard to get past the hideous character designs and joke of a plot.

Will wait till bundled and pick up for the +1, I guess.

That's sort of the point tho. It's supposed to be campy and insane. It fits the gameplay perfectly.

Not everyone's bag of chips, of course.

Eh, it'll be in a monthly bundle by next year. I do want it, but I own it on 360 and I know I won't play it anytime soon. I've supported Sega enough by buying enough of their shit before they end up bundling it anyway so I'll sit this one out.

But have you played Shadow the Hedgehog.

Played alpha prime. Awful game. The physics are so bad if you get on the tram car and it starts moving, your character slides in the opposite direction like it position is tied to the ground and not the tram car. And the enemy has amazing accuracy, but the worst part is the voice acting. The worst I have ever heard in a game, it's like Ben Stein is doing it in his wonder years character voice.

Started playing Arma Gold. Voice acting is pretty bad, but Alpha Prime set the bar so low it sounds decent. The control interface is clunky, not sure I'll play through it all.

Hardware/accessory recommendation time! (please help me)

I didn't include a disc drive on my new build, but for posterity I'm trying to collect and store all the music I made when I was younger, was capable of feeling inspired, and life still had meaning. Of course, it's all on CDs. Can anyone recommmed a solid, cheap option for a USB CD-RW/DVD-RW drive? Thuuuannks.

I have a LG Ultra Slim Portable DVD Writer (Model GP65NS60) that was $20-something that I bought when I got my gaming laptop last year at Microcenter, since that (laptop) didn't have a DVD-Burner Drive internally.

You can connect it via USB 2.0 or 3.0.

The necessary cable comes in the box.

It works fine like a DVD Burner should. [shrug]

I'll admit the blatant sexuality is a little stupid and thrown in for ez bucks. I'd hardly play the game like that for the story, though.
Whatever man, in 'Howard Stern' -like fashion, I was riveted by the story. I always wanted to see what batshit crazy thing they would do next. It never disappointed either as the game's climax has you literally
punching "God" into the sun!

Loved every minute of it!

$10 after rebate at Newegg using the coupon code on the page.

$23 after coupon (no rebate) at Newegg. That's similar to the one that I have, also an LG but slightly different model number.

All those Steelbooks for PC games that GS has are $10 now.

Most are bundled to death, but hey, physical disks for the toasters of the world.
Axiom Verge's low is $10, so that's not too bad I suppose. Wouldn't hurt as a sacrifice to the Bundle Gods, either.

I was considering Axiom Verge for the same reason (all time low) and because the dev seems like a nice person. I think the only other non bundled ones on the list are Chariot and Stories? These are just steel books, right? No extras like regular indie boxes?

Chariot has been bundled, so the only unbundled games are Axiom Verge and Stories. They include the steam key, game disc, soundtrack disc, and manual. No fancy extras but the steelbooks are nicer than the garbage bluray-like cases that indiebox includes with their regular editions

Here's a video of a guy unboxing all of them:

Ripping audio is a slow enough process that there's no advantage to using USB 3 (or SATA for that matter). If you have more than 20ish discs, i'd highly recommend waiting until your kids are old enough to understand computers and make them do it in exchange for their allowance/dessert. Then they can go to school and make fun of old people and their archaic CDs.

On the other hand, you probably wouldn't want to expose them to your "music."

Those look nice. If only I liked some of those bundled games enough to want to rebuy them. They aren't here locally or else I would just buy Axion Verge, otherwise I need to qualify for free shipping somehow. Could justify Stories too since it has a fox, but it's a shitty arpg. Not sure if I would double dip on Nuclear Throne or Rogue Legacy or just find some cheap PS3 trash to fill in the rest.

I'm so torn on those steelbooks, love me some steelbook but like everyone else I already have those games (some of them multiple times over). Only one I don't have is Nuclear Throne and that's by far the worst of the steelbooks! :wall:

You can always just order something to get to free shipping and return it in store?

Yeah, I considered that, but I think I might just pass this time. If they hit $5 might order then.

Gamersgate Spring Sale is heating up:

Steep Gold for $37

Steep for $28

Resident Evil 7 for $36

Other RE games on sale, including HD remakes.

Walking Dead New Frontier for 17.50

Now I'm wishing I had stocked up with millions in zgold when they had their big top up sale.

Mostly fakeybro stuff.

GTA5 on High with about 50 fps, Witcher 3 on medium 30 fps. Both 1080p. Not sure about the rest.

God, you'd think the focus of ME:A was hot women and not space or some shit.  I'm going to play Sakura Agent and complain about how ugly the backgrounds are because that's why I totally play Sakura games.

well it is basically advertised as travel the stars, shoot strange things, bang aliens

Even the cards against humanity cross promotion was called 'totally fuckable aliens'
