This thread will attempt to provide a place to discuss past/present/future PC gaming deals. While mainly focusing on Steam games, any standout sales may also be presented. I will not be updating every Daily/Weekly/etc. sale. The tools to help individuals become a smarter shopper will be provided below.

There are two possibilities here:

1: This is money laundering and it's being used to transfer large amounts of Steam Wallet from one account to another;

2: The $3 and $5 sellers are trying to make a bit of money and leave it at that. The Market is a gamble, it's better to just get some extra cash and let some other dumbass try to sell a virtual item for stupid amounts of money.

I think the most likely possibility is people are crazy. There's an open buy order for $269.02 right now.

Really SteamEconomyEnhancer has a maximum price setting that may mess up people's listing if I understand how it works.

 
Anyone interested in doing a Zombie Army Trilogy 4-pack split? I can't host one because Steam region locks the additional copies, so I'm looking for someone to host.

I've haven't had a chance to play today since the storms knocked out my power. At least I can play again later today and start farming for crates.

Solo first person is my new favorite mode, no one has enough reaction time to avoid the car.

Cars are OP'd. They will take away two tires from them in the next update.

 
Hope the market doesn't crash before I get home late saturday! Sitting on gamescom crates seems the safest bet but it would sure be nice to open up a hundred dollar jacket.

More or less it's more about quality control of content when it comes to pornographic type games, i couldn't care if a game has a sex scene like Mass Effects or Witcher since these aren't the core features or functions of said games but have them included.

I wouldn't worry too much. The crates reset back down to 700 BP for each crate type on the reset every Sunday at 8 PM ET. Just make sure you have enough to pick up at least one of each before the reset. I assume we'll see a flood of listings once the reset hits each week. So that's something to consider.

I don't think you missed much. I tried playing earlier this afternoon and the lag issue after the big update made the game unplayable for me. I really hope they fix their issues soon.

Are you the type of person that honks the horn right before you run over someone or no?

Wow, the crate prices have gone up slightly since this afternoon. I suppose it makes sense with the limitations on buying crates and the BP needed after you've bought a few. I guess I should've waited a bit longer, but sometimes you never know what to expect with the Steam market place.

I made enough back to be content on my decision. I just didn't foresee the amount of fools crate buyers out there. Live and learn I guess. Late sellers shall reap the benefits. Just sell, don't open them, don't give in to the horrible RNG!

The price isn't bad, I just don't know what your relationship is with the pawn shop if something goes wrong. Monoprice sells refurbs for $240 so there's that option too.

Basically, if a game or show doesn't support it, it reverts to using like a 24'' 1080p monitor with the black bars on the side. For my 29'' at least, I assume the 34'' would revert to more like a 27'' 1080p monitor.

I had a ton of fun last night RSS, despite losing most of the night. I felt I was getting a little better, especially spectating people like Sasquatc4 and Twisting Torque. Getting a kill on Torque was exciting and I still am proud of my panicked round win when I killed 3 of the other team at the end. Maybe I'm best when I'm panicked. I won a Alpha pack on my roll, but then I bought two more with my renown (4500 renown each or save up like 100K renown for 25). I got a cool skull gun skin and a cupcake charm in those.

Also, I realized you could just choose IQ in lone wolf and kill yourself and repeat 7 times to finish the challenge, so I did that last night.

And woo! CheapyD officially played with the bros! Don't think there's anything else left for the bros to do.

If you can ever make a bro night, we tend to have fun playing and aren't pros, well except for Sasquatc4 and Jimbo, but we need the good people to carry the rest of us.

Thanks for the input. I'll probably pass for now. May just wait until Black Friday and see if I can't get something a little better

Supply seemed to drop during US prime time hours, which caused the price to go up. After peak hours, the supply has steadily increased and the price has gone down.

 
Last night, the bros played PUBG, and not before and after the official bro event like we've been doing for weeks now, but officially, for the bro event.  Fun was had by all.  Our squad finished 2nd once, but Sasquatc4 was the last man standing, only 5 people were left, and the other 4 were one entire squad, so he had no chance.  We also bragged about our big money deals with the game.  So far, between Twitch crates and these new crates, I've made $20 in Steam wallet from PUBG.  I only paid $23 for it, so it's only costing me $3 at this point. If I divide that by the 73 hours I've played it, we're talking .04 per hour played, which can't be beat, except maybe by a fidget spinner.  

Anyway, tonight we play BF1...for the last time ever...?!?!?  Show up to find out whether that's true or not.  If true, you don't want to miss the last BFriday ever!  If not true, we'll see you next week when we surely play BF1 for the last time ever.

True story, the server browser for me has NEVER worked. Ever. The few times I've been designated party leader I go to the server browser and it shows ZERO games. No matter if I click show all, or restrict it, or anything. I let someone else be party leader and they can find a game right away. I think I've been able to join a random game by clicking that option and letting it find a game for me, but still. Not sure if there's a verify game files or something I could do to fix that.

That said, finding games in general can be a PITA. Especially in the one mode everyone plays (Conquest?) We usually have to find a game with at least a few open spots, join, essentially wait 20 minutes for the current round to end, and then join in the next round when we get slots from people who quit. That's my main complaint about BF1. That and getting stuck in a shit server after doing all that and having to decide whether to stick to the shitty server you're in or do the whole process again.

GMG, I never really saw any good deals... Granted, I only checked the flash deals and, likely didn't even do that everyday. 7 Days to Die was/is a Historic Low with the summer code. Like $8.08

Is the ZGold still going on...? I think that ended yesterday or whenever July ended. Whats a Agents of Mayhem going for in ZGold?

Chrono, even with an alarm set on my phone to go off at the daily rollover I think I managed to have 2 3 days streaks this week. (ugh)

I bought some Klipsch R6 On-Ear Reference Headphones (still on sale for $28 on Newegg). It has the "oomph" in bass (which the SH HD 206 lacks); sounds clear + great; the ear pieces are comfy and can fold in different directions; and is lightweight (especially when compared to Sennheiser HD 206). So awesome, just had to order another one before the sale ends.

I've been sticking to Klipsch earphones for a while now. I find that they are much more durable than other brands. I end up throwing most of them away after a few months because the cable wears out near the plug. I haven't had that issue at all with Klipsch.

I had some S4A's that I abandoned once the in-line mic controls weren't useable after a software update on my phone. I replaced them with the R6, which lasted me 2 years. I recently had to replace them because I left them in my jeans while in the washer. They actually survived 3 washes. The last wash finally killed one bud, and the other sounds a little muted. I really don't know why they survived the first wash in perfect condition, but it may be because I had left them in their pouch case, so not a lot of water made it in.

Right now, I'm using their X6i that I picked up for $50 from BuyDig. The sound is balanced, so I'm really missing the "oomph" the R6s had, but I have noticed that the cord rustle is somewhat muted compared to the R6s.

Fix it myself while on chat with the second one... Leaving him very confused as I suspect both where out of ideas.

Anyhow, I hooked up the mic back into the right slot, unplugged the microUSB cable, waited a second plugged it back in... when it came back online everything worked fine. (We'll see how long it last... All my tech support experience tells me this is one of those where you logoff the system and head for the door and hope you make it across the threshold before it goes back it fucks up again.)

That said I do have my old cable in place and can cut back to the motherboard mic in ten seconds or less I imagine.

That's funny. This is actually the first month I didn't get any games I wanted in the monthly. That's only because I already bought Pillars of Eternity years ago though. I still love the service and feel great about supporting it. One strike outta six ain't bad. There will probably be some better games next month.

 
Just wish I hadn't bought PoE previously, otherwise this would have been a great bundle for me. I also apparently suck at pricing things asking for $5 for it as no one has shown any interest.
