No, we buy Steam-versions of PC games for the Steam count.
FTFY.

You could buy a game on say GOG, UPlay, Origin, Retail, etc - and if that version you buy just don't support Steam or say they don't also give you an additional Steam-version key, it just won't up your Steam game-count.

I tried a Five Guys burger for the first time today.

I give it a purple and three mice out of a Golden Girls reunion.

So has anyone actually played Depression Quest? I spent 1-2 minutes with it, it's just a text-based choose your own adventure with no voice acting or visuals of any kind (other than the grainy filtered picture of a beer or a lawn chair that I can only imagine some fucking hipster 19 year old girl took with her $1000 DSLR camera). I honestly couldn't be bothered to read more than a couple sentences because, surprise surprise, it's depressing, and more importantly, it's just plain fucking boring. Making mundane day-to-day decisions for an imaginary depressed person (that you can't even see or hear, only read about) is about as fun as watching paint dry. I guess it's just 2deep4me.

I am hoping to get good reviews for my new game "Angry Misogynist Forum Simulator" due out on Steam next week!
What a boring simulator. Why would people want to play a game about what they do in real life on a daily basis?

Wow, all this drama over some ugly girl having sex. Who cares?
Everyone should care when ugly people have sex. It means they are trying to procreate, which means more ugly people flooding the world, which means less hotties for everyone. It's a lose, lose situation.

Such racism. White Knight? I mean what if a black dude wants to be a knight as well? I guess he's shit out of luck then huh?

Well, that's shady. I hope someone asks her and finds out.
Yeah, and I don't say this just because she's a slut, but it's always real shady to me when a product is sold with proceeds going to charity and the percentage isn't specified. That either leads to believe it is some astronomically low percentage (I mean even 5% would be okay as long as you are transparent about it) or it is some random arbitrary number she comes up with. Which again to me is exploitative of the charity because you're just using the name to sell something, not to raise money for them. Again, this is my slut neutral stance.

Found a Brazilian trader who helped me save $2.50 on the Borderlands and The Bureau DLCs I was missing. Yay.

I was going to catch up with today's steam thread banter, but then I realized it was over five pages of people bitching at each other over Zoe-whats-her-name, and I decided I didn't have enough popcorn for that.

I honestly don't give a flying fuck about whether or not she "manipulated the press". Arguing about business ethics is the last thing I want to do. If she did that shit or not, I don't really care. I just think she's a flaming bag of poop for being a filthy cheater and for sleeping around with a married man (then lying till she's blue in the face trying to cover it up).

Feel free to continue your white knighting, though. It's amusing to read.
Seems you got pretty late to the whole discussion then, and didn't even bother to read properly. Yeah, she's a shitty asshole for cheating. That's been established and no one disputed that. That's not what the whole fucking discussion was about. The whole discussion was about the whole "she bribed them with sex for coverage, lulz, let's start a witch hunt with no actual evidence to support that fact"

But once more, the only things you guys can do is saying "hurr durr, you're such a white knight" and sucessfully managing to not know how to read or how to have proper discussions.

TL;DR in some kind of Eurolish Biart says no Steam keys for Depth Hunter Bundle Buyers because this is the deluxe/yearly update/sequel/director's game of a millenium/corporate lifestyle version. Except the Greenlight Bundle, because he apparently made some sort of agreement with them he didn't make with the others.

Apparently, he plans to do yearly updates of his games like a sports game so even though people who bought some of those bundles may have voted on Greenlight and helped to get him in, he won't be giving them keys because he's skipping of Depth Hunter 1 and releasing Depth Hunter 1.1 2 because 1 is so last year.

We have agreement with Greenlight Bundle owner to provide the keys for DH1/DH2 or any others, that he promote for us.

We can be really happy to provide all our games for free, but it's not possible ;)

We sell not the different game. We sell the next part of the game, that was done in 2014. And we plan to release the game every year, like Deer Hunter, FIFA, etc.
This guy brings up a good, if ESL-ish point. I also skipped the Greenlight bundle because I figured I already had it from Groupees.

Me chose Depth Hunter while buying Build a Bundle 2 on Groupees (and voted on Greenlight). So didn't buy it with Greenlight Bundle because already had this game. Me don't ask for HD2 key as it's the sequel. Me would be fully satisfied with DH 1 (!) steam key, as it was greenlit and should be released too. Thanks in advance.
Oh and Biart didn't even re-list the Sequel on Greenlight, he pulled shenanigans and changed the original greenlight listing for DH1 to DH2. It's got the same Greenlight ID even http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=93069545

Here's an old Facebook link he put up in 2012 for Depth Hunter Not 2. https://www.facebook.com/BiartHQ/posts/483322261691885

It's weird that it's a different game but the descriptions of both say the game has 25 exciting missions. That's a strange coincidence. :whistle2:k

TBH this guy seems like some whipped dog anyways. When asked where the chick on the cover went (the one in the wetsuit, alt shot in the bikini), he said his partner objected to women being displayed like that and made him remove it or not do it for the "sequel"

I'm like lol. If it sells games and cards do it.

Because it's totally not the same shit with just some minor tweaks so he can BS about getting out of giving keys because he's a douche.

I seriously think Valve should put some rules in place about making significant changes to your Greenlight listing once the campaign has gone live and gotten votes. I didn't vote for Depth Hunter 2, I voted for Depth Hunter, but all he has to do is change the name on the listing and suddenly it's a different game than the one I voted for, yet he still has my vote.

Some other devs have done similarly slimey shit like that, like the Super Lemonade Factory dev deleting from the description that the game would be free well after a lot of people already voted for it, many of whom the fact that it was supposed to be a free game probably factored into their decision.

Hmmm, if he just switched the listing name that's definitely something I'll be reporting him to Steam for.

the indie fad...it only lasts so long until it rears its ugly heads. Guys like these above give honest developers bad names

Looks like Depth Hunter dev is a slut too!

He definitely did it. I found some Wayback Machine archives for it. Most aren't in English but you get the point.

September 1, 2013 - It was already Greenlit by this point. Still "Depth Hunter", so he changed it well after the game got approved.

The "2" part must be really recent because the last archive is August 4th 2014 and it doesn't have it.

So uh, question. Anyone remember a game called "Ray's the Dead"?

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/ragtag/rays-the-dead-0

It was greenlit and they're currently running a kickstarter for the game to get enough funds to finish paying for the programmers, music, and software licenses. Which is fine. They're basically treating the kickstarter as a preorder page, which again, is great.

But I could've sworn this was included in a bundle at one point. Anyone know?

In other news, someone basically told PuppyGames, in polite terms, to shut the fuck up. I like this guy.
