I got this in less than a second - maybe other poster just has terribad hand/eye coordination.
I was exaggerating... but it did take longer than longer links obviously.

and it doesn't help that I'm on a trackpad.

just a little sarcasm for IP :p

For those that plan on ordering order some other steels to make shipping worth the while to the US (yes amazon Germany ships to the US).
The watch looks pretty sharp. Anyone know if its region free? Couldn't find that info on the mobile site.
From what I've read, it is region B locked.

Still too early to tell though. Should probably get your order in regardless.

Just going off of what I read. The UK and French releases of Hugo were locked.

Like I said, we'll wait and see, just lock in your preorders now.

Those weren't released by Paramount though. In the UK it was distributed by "Entertainment in Video" who for whatever reason tends to lock their titles, even the region free stuff from Warner like the LOTR trilogy. In france, it's distributed by "Metropolitan", which I'm not too familar with but they also appear to lock most of their titles. With a release directly from Paramount, odds are it will be region free. But yes, regardless it's best to lock it in now if you're interested. Personally, I think it costs way too much, and I don't care much for the Steelbook's design, and I wouldn't have any use for the watch. The tin is nice looking, it's really too bad they didn't give the steelbook the same design.

Which other ones are worth getting?

got my
Return of the Living Dead Steelbook from amazon.co.uk today
Box came opened and destroyed, I was surprised to find the movie in there.

Steelbook is beat up a bit and the disc is free floating as well.
Not sure I'll be placing another order from the uk or not. ugh

Mine came in perfect shape, as have all the other stuff I've ordered from there. They can't really be blamed for the damage that happens in transit, plus I bet they'll replace it if you contact them.
Looks G1 but someone who saw this today in a Best Buy said G2.

That's totally G1

/edit: Everyone else is saying G2, guess it's G2.

Thanks for the heads up..

I put in a Hugo order. Is that 8-12 days for delivery or 8 to 12 weeks? I couldn't get the website to translate properly once I entered the checkout phase.

I've ordered from Amazon.uk before and always gotten my items fast so I'm guessing it is days but figured I'd ask those with more experience

8-12 days for delivery, not weeks unless it shipped by boat.

So, how do I go about getting said Scott Pilgrim vs. the World steelbook? I'm not exactly a steel collector (only have UC3 + 8 Universal BBY exclusives from last month), but Scott Pilgrim is easily my favorite movie of the past five or so years.

I need to stay more in the loop. The only one I recognize from this thread is MI:GP. Nice haul.

Are you overseas or do you have a contact for getting these?

I am a big fan of steelbooks, especially the gaming ones. But ever since I have started looking at this thread, I am sort of getting put off by them.
There are so many out there & for some reason it completely curbs my enthusiasm for collecting them.
Strange - Isn't it?

I hear you. That's why I restrict myself to movies I really like or ones with cool/unique cover art. It's too expensive to buy them all.

I only collect the ones that come out in the US. I'd be broke otherwise.

I know how you feel. With new Steelbooks being unveiled almost weekly, it's hard to keep track of it all. Even if I was a billionaire I don't think I'd ever pursue being a completionist either, as I can't see myself buying a garbage movie just because of the packaging.

That said, seeing a Steelbook I want and getting it in mint condition is an awesome experience. Thrill of the hunt (for the few I get a year lol)!!!
Iron Man 1 & 2 steelbook pre-orders from play.com are gone now. I'm glad I'd put pre-order early. :D
Did you put one in for the group buy?

Easiest way to get these is to get in a group buy. You can join the forums at Hi Def Ninja, post 30 times and then you are allowed to participate in the group buys. Prices are more reasonable than buying on eBay.

Yes that feeling is great. One of the recent steelbooks that gave me that experience was one for Xenoblade chronicles.
It was France exclusive & I had to venture out to ebay France to get it.
I wanted to complete my trilogy of steelbooks for 3 Nintendo releases(operation rainfall) & this was really difficult to get in mint condition.

It's going to come out one day that iNCREDiPiNOY is some huge actor in Hollywood with all this expendable cash and that's why he's able to get all of these steelbooks.

Or we'll see him in the news one day when he's poor and homeless living in a house made out of his steelbooks.
Don't buy 3 next time :p
Two would be the better purchase (for in-store pickup) as it would be $55.98 + $10 coupon for future purchase

How is it work? Can I get $10 back for in-store purchase?

Place a movie, music or video game software order of $50 or more between Sunday, June 17, and Friday, August 31 — and use store pickup.
The savings code will be e-mailed up to 5 days after you pick up your order.

Just buy two more.
