How can you tell it's Metalbox? The only time I can easily tell a knock-off is when they put the hinge in the middle of the spine (a la the Mass Effect 3 CE case in the US).
I'm guessing its safe to assume Best Buy will be carrying this as well?
I wouldn't count on it.

Well.. it says "Artwork TBC", so hopefully it'll be fixed.

I mean, come on.

How in the world could that art get approved? It went through so many people, yet no one caught that it was mirrored? It has to be corrected.

What do you mean? It doesn't look mirrored to me

It's the same as the original poster art as far as I can tell:
fuck! That one is nice!!!
I agree, I collect mainly video game steelbooks but I might have to look for that on ebay.

Shut the fuck up and take my money. That Ghostbusters one is so goddamn beautiful. That's not saying much considering every one posted on the last page was stunning.

I'm new to the steelbook collecting scene so I'm wondering if Liongate's blu-rays are region locked. I'm interested in ordering some steelbooks from HMV and I use a PS3 to watch my movies. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Pre-orders are up for all 3 and they're super cheap (for a steelbook at least) at around $20US each, you can save on shipping if you buy multiple. They're all completely region free.

Thanks, preordered both Ghostbusters and Hellboy for a total of $36.56 shipped.

Edit: I used Currency+ from the app store to convert to $.

those are the two I ordered as well. I might cancel Ghostbusters down the line since I already own the regular version, but I figured it's best to lock in this price now in case it goes up.

Buying all three. Love the Ghost Busters one and the Evil Dead is amazing.
If there was a release of a DVD only steelbook I would laugh my ass off. Hopefully this is what I'm thinking it is.
This would not shock me if they did it just for DVD, as they did have some steelbook releases that were only DVD. These days, they should be doing it as a combo pack with BD + DVD + DC if they do it as a steelbook.

I would certainly be in for the Snow White and the Huntsman if it's a BD combo pack for steelbook.

I will buy Snow White and the Huntsman just because it marks the end of the Rob/Kristen/Twilight lovefest. My wife is into E! News and the Twilight movies, and together it is so very, very painful.

Im debating on these three steelbooks E.T, evil dead and ghostbusters. Part of me says no but the other half says must get. :(

heh, I just cancelled my pre-order for the ET Steelbook from Amazon UK 2 days ago because I had way too many things on order from there releasing around the same time and needed to make some sacrifices. Now I guess I'll try and get it from Target since it will be cheaper. I also cancelled my Jaws Steelbook order as I'm set on getting the digibook from BB. I hope Target doesn't have that one too, or my wallet will scream "not againn!"

Do you like the digibooks better than steelbooks or is there some other reasoning behind it?

I like both types of packaging, but it does come down to preference with some. Like with 300 and The Shawshank Redemption, I think the Digibook is much nicer in design and contents than the Steelbook versions. With Jaws, they're both very appealing, but a few other factors swayed me to just getting the digibook. First, I actually want to see the book part of the digibook, as I'm a pretty big fan of the film and like to know as much as possible about it. Second it comes out weeks earlier than the UK (8/14 vs 9/2 + import time of course), and finally it will be cheaper at BB than importing the SB from Amazon. If I got both, it'd probably be over $50, so it's hard to justify that when I really have no need for a duplicate copy of the movie.

FIrst, I actually want to see the book part of the digibook as I'm a pretty big fan of the film and like to know as much as possible about it, second it comes out nearly a month earlier than the UK, and finally it will be cheaper at BB than importing the SB from Amazon. I can't really justify having 2 versions of the same movie just for the metal packaging.
That's generally how I feel about it. I have no preference between the two, really. I'm gonna pick Jaws up for my mom because that's without a doubt her favorite movie. I hate the 100th anniversary stuff all over the front. She won't mind, though.
