Already received my DVD copy of Catching Fire, as it showed up at work when I was out of the office on Wednesday. Was shipped 2-day UPS.

I contacted them on Friday with all of the info, so it must have shipped on Monday. Was the DVD copy, in a plastic CD/DVD case, with a Lionsgate cardboard "bookmark" (looks like a wide bookmark, has the Lionsgate logo in the background and their company address + phone # at the bottom) that said the following:
So no actual DVD case with cover art? Idk if i'm interested in getting the DVD sent to me now.

No offense, but why we're you expecting that?

And I was also expecting to receive the DVD for the first one. Oh well can't complain.
Idk I guess I just imagined dudes in a warehouse like "This guy needs a Hunger Games DVD!" And then somebody in the back just looking for the quickest one and that being the single DVD version. Just made sense to me lol apparently that was a dumb scenario/expectation. Not too big deal though. I don't really watch DVDs anymore.

Oops I was talking about Thor 2 Steelbook.  Honestly I don't care if I get a DVD copy sent to me from the studio for HG/CF.

Check your emails if you subscribe to Zaavi. They sent out a 15% off Steelbooks code, which includes some Disney, Pixar, and Ghibli titles.

All 3 Toy Story Steels are single disc, right?

Has anyone had any payment problems with Zavvi? I pre-ordered the Frozen steel from them and paid with PayPal. I received an e-mail saying that there was a problem with my payment. The next morning I received an automated call from the fraud detection center for my card. Went through that process and contacted Zavvi. They told me to resubmit the order. Did so using my card this time. Received another e-mail saying that there was a payment problem. I have plenty of funds to cover it. I'm guessing my financial institution doesn't like that it's coming from the UK, though I haven't had any issues with amazon uk.

Have you had to return anything to them? If this is your first attempt to make a purchase disregard (you're probably right that it's your bank blocking payment to a foreign company) but two years ago or so I bought the MGS HD Limited Edition that Zavvi was selling and it arrived destroyed. I sent it back and then magically my account was blocked from making purchase (that was my first purchase on that account). To bypass it I had to use a different card.

Nope, this is my first time ordering from them. I'll contact them to see if they will take a prepaid card.

I encountered the payment problem with this frozen preorder. I have bought from them 2-3 times before though with no problems. Got a call from my bank's fraud protection asking about the charge and ok'ed it with them, retried the payment and still failed. Ended up using a different card and it worked fine.

Hello everyone,

Wanted to know how you display your steelbooks. i've been looking for a way to hold them straight up on my shelves but haven't found anything that isn't way overpriced. I've seen stands on ebay for like $8 a piece which is insane. I am thinking of just creating wood holders with scraps from a hardware store but was hoping for a simplistic clear plastic holder.

Thanks for any replies.

This thread is dropping the ball on compelling me to spend money. Anchorman 1 & 2 steelbook was released at Walmart and I forgot all about it until I saw it today.

It was mentioned a while back
Yeah I remember but I'm just surprised a U.S. steelbook release happens and this thread doesn't bump. Same with the albeit ugly Wolf of Wall Street steel last week. I feel like we lost a little bit of passion here ...

There was a lot of discussion about them. It just took place in the retailer weekly ad threads instead of here.

I think the OP is due for some updates for steelbooks already released, such as in a spoiler, so we see the upcoming ones only in the post.

If anybody in MD is looking for the Hunger Games Steelbooks, Arundel Mills has a handful of the original and a bunch of Catching Fire.

They are also on sale at BB.com.

Also picked up a leftover Hobbit EE Steel there.

Anybody interested in acquiring a Dick Tracey zavii steel? Somehow I got two so I'm looking to recoup my cash.

Anyone here pick up the Anchorman 2 Steelbook for Wal-Mart and if so what are your impressions?  I was really disappointed with the Wolf of Wall Street from Target recently and I don't want to waste a trip since Wal-Mart is farther than I wish to go to, to just browse.

The Chronicles of Riddick Steelbook is set to go on sale on amazon today at 9pm EST as part of the Lightning Deals. Now idea how much it'll be discounted, but it's currently listed at $16.xx.

Normally I hold off on getting movies that are in a series and get the entire collection once they finish but if this deal is good might get it. They've already confirmed another Riddick movie with the success of the last one so I've been holding off. Is this just the first film or all of too as the steelbook for the first used to be available at Wal-Mart and it definitely was cheaper than 16.

I rather like it, I just picked it up today. Cover and back are better than a lot of steels lately. I also was disappointed with the Wolf of Wall Street steel but imo, this is much much better
