It was that price when they first put the listing up, of course that was when it was still the mysterious listing. Glad I placed a order when they did just in case it was the steelbook, so that's what I'm paying.

 
So when will we find out if amazing Spiderman 2 is a steelbook or not

Snow White pre-orders are live starting tomorrow morning (8/9) and The Lion King is Saturday (8/10). Both are Zavvi exclusives.

The Lion King one hasn't gone on sale yet, has it? Had a minor panic when I refreshed the Snow White page and it was in stock, and the Lion King one said Sold Out.

 
It should be region locked, because in North America, it's "in the vault." Lion King should also be region locked.

 
Since we don't get the movie ads in this forum anymore, what is the sale price at Target this week for the new DCUA Steelbook?

You'll have to call them to get the price difference back, assuming you get the steelbook at all. It's iffy if you get the steelbook when you order it online because the steelbook and non-steelbook share the Target DPCI #.

 
If I pre-order Spidey 2 and Cap 2 from Best Buy for shipping how are they at adjusting the price if its cheaper when it ships? Do the do it automatically or do I have to call?

I've always gotten the difference back automatically. Like when Thor: The Dark World 3D steelbook went cheaper right before release, they had already charged me the old price, but refunded me the difference without me having to do anything.

And to add to what Shrike said, if you preordered greater than (I think) 30 days ago, the online store won't help you. You'll need to do a return/re-buy in-store.

Lion King 3D is still available. Beauty and the Beast wasn't region B when it was in the vault. I don't think that's what determines it.

 
In the US, the Disney stuff was mostly Viva Metalbox (including the 2011 Muppets). Now that they're discontinued, we probably won't see anything special until Disney decides to do Steelbooks in the US. TBH, I'm not sure I understand why they're willing to partner with Zavvi in the UK, but do nothing in the states.

I think Disney did have a couple US steelbooks back when BDs were just coming out, but I've never owned them nor seen them in person.

Oh, btw, Zavvi seems to have gone back to their cardboard boxes. The last two steelbooks I got from them, after 3 dent ones in envelopes, were in boxes.

You normally have to call, though they sometimes make adjustments if the price drops well before shipment. I'd still suggest calling them once it ships out and the price is at the release price.
