So you received your $5 GC from the Genisys pre-order? Is it a physical card that is mailed to you or an eGC? I haven't seen anything about it, even after I got my copy of the movie on Friday.

EDIT: In fact the GC looks like it will be mailed to me but it is still in the "Order created" phase.

Was a physical card. I think Genisys showed up last Wed/Thu and the GC showed up either Saturday or yesterday. Surprised, since the last time they did this with Paddington, it was an eGC not a physical GC.

Yeah I just got another email from Target saying they are sending me another $5 promotional gift card for Terminator - even though they sent me that (and it was received) a few days ago. Wonder if this one will be a freebie?

I think its a delayed email being sent because they never sent an tracking email when they sent the first gift card. I got one too

Have it too but if the cover looked snappier, I would have gotten this to add to my tiny storybook collection. The movie is fantastic for anyone who don't already own it.

But come to think about it, the two steelbooks I own have equally bland covers so I might pick it up after all.

Yeah, I meant we already own the steelbook haha. Great price for it though even if you already own the movie.

I own the regular bluray version and I like the cover of that one . Having never opened a steelbook bluray, would there be anything different inside the metal case that a non-steelbook version wouldn't have?

They usually do that when they are getting close to selling their allotment. They will space out the sales of the remainder between now and release date by occasionally putting it up for sale. Also, they will almost always have sales available during release week (for a limited time) and certain weeks after (but usually for a higher price).

Sadly, if the Iron Man 2 Steelbook is anything like the Iron Man 1 Steelbook (which was my Mystery Steelbook from the ZBOX a few months back) it will be the 1-disc edition with no Special Features.

Yep! Pretty pumped there's a NA release. I'll report tomorrow on if there's a steelbook edition or they hand you an empty book with game. Sounds like they have give one with each but I can't remember the last time Target actually gave out extras with game purchases.

From the pics on Target.com, it looks like it was for Tomb Raider, where there's no empty SB, just the game in the SB.

Both product pictures have the "Limited Steelbook Packaging" sticker, like they did with Tomb Raider, so it might be that way or a separate SB.

We'll find out tomorrow, regardless. I know I'm going there before work to make sure I pick up one.

 
As an aside, the current BB ad has an item on it for pre-ordering the Scorch Trials, Mission Impossible and Fantastic Four (2015) steelbooks at a $19.99 price with a $5 MyRZ bonus.   All of those prices are currently valid for those items.

Oddly absent was the Ant Man steelbook, as the non-SB 3D version was showing in the ad as one that is under the $19.99 pre-order price with the $5 MyRZ bonus.

Methinks we're going to end up with the Ant Man SB at $24.99 at best, unless next week's ad has it show up as a cheaper price.  It's back up for pre-order at the $29.99 price, so we'll have to see if the $24.99 price is what we end up with, or we get it for cheaper.  I'll know on Saturday when I get my print copy of the ad in my Sunday paper, though if the ad leaks beforehand, we'll see then.

Just a head's up that Iron Man 1 and Captain America 3D are also for sale now at Zavvi. Again, not a great deal but if you are collecting Marvel steels this makes it easier than ever to get most. Also, Captain 3D has been surprisingly expensive considering how reviled it is from a technical perspective. Anyway, its 37 bucks on zavvi and still around 35-40 in the U.S. (does have a digital copy though)

So it comes packaged with the game and has a slip cover as well (like the tomb raider one if I remember). Incidentally my store only got 5 for PS4 and 5 for XB1 so depending on how well this sells there may not be many out there. That said, there were Tomb Raider steels at my store for a solid year after release.
