Well if they send me the 3D combo pack instead of the steelbook for the order I placed earlier today, I won't complain since I got a steelbook on Tuesday.
 
Did anyone still need the God and Monsters steelbook from Target? I still have the extra I picked up in case someone needed it. Going to throw it up on eBay this weekend if no one here wants it.

 
Weird. Target just cancelled my BTTF trilogy because they couldn't deliver it by 9/4. Which is dumb since it comes out in late October

If it's the 3D copy, then you're living a bit of a blessed life to have both.

I plan to, if I get another steelbook. I plan to offer it to my friends on a first come first serve basis at cost.

Don't waste your time with DC steels and ebay. They really hover around retail. If you have a RedCard you should still have time to return it

 
I've been watching the Star Wars prequels with my sons and the really had me questioning whether I should even bother with the steel re-releases. Has there been any discussion on what other than updated audio the movies will have? Are the menus or special features getting revamped? I'd like to have them just because of the completionist in my but 16 years later episode 1 is still godawful.

Target corporate considers Target.com the unwanted bastard child with a raging STD and horrible acne. They want nothing whatever to do with them, consider them a separate entity and they won't do shit about any issues with an online order.

Well, just got my cancellation e-mail for my pre-order this morning. How many days after the cancellation e-mail did the apology e-mail arrive? Will they automatically reinstate the pre-order or did you have to order it again?

It took ~5 days. They did not reinstate the order. I'm also still waiting on the follow-up email with the gift card.

Forgot to update, but Best Buy did in fact send another copy of the Mad Max: Fury Road Steelbook.  If none of my friends end up taking it, I'll probably offer it up here in trade.  I *think* I also have an extra GotG Best Buy Exclusive Steelbook.  Although, the thing I'm mostly looking for is the Best Buy Exclusive season 1 Game of Thrones Stark edition Bluray set.

This has been known for a little while, but I haven't seen anyone talking about it here, so it's worth mentioning that the Limited Edition Packaging for Jurassic World that people were hoping would be a Steelbook is actually going to be a crappy round tin case thing.

It sucks. I hate it. I cancelled my preorder for the LEP version and will just end up picking up a standard Blu-ray case version. Why they didn't just make a Steelbook, I'll never know. That tin case is garbage.

Just posting this as a heads up to anyone else that might have preordered this thing also hoping it would be a Steelbook.

Thanks for the head's up. Meh indeed. If they're going that route, they should've put it into a miniature gyro ball, Dino egg, or raptor head/bust.

They did it with Man Of Steel and I passed on that one. They did do the Amazon LE for it at least and that one is 3D:

Yeah I wasn't interested in that Man of Steel set until I found it on clearance at Fry's for $5.
So far it looks like I am just getting the regular 3D release for JW

I'll probably grab the regular 3D pack when it gets down to the $20 or less level. No reason to jump on this at release without a SB or something else like it.

If it's 3D @ release @ $20, I'll pick it up.

 
BB ad that starts tomorrow has a blurb about picking up the Fast & Furious 1-6 steelbooks at $9.99, starting on Tuesday.  This is next to the $19.99 for the F&TF7 steelbook releasing on Tuesday @ $19.99.

I really want to pick these up! Here's my dilemma. I wanted to pick them up this past Christmas. I specifically listed the movies on a list for my wife to choose my gift. I wanted all 6 of the movies in steelbook form, but on Christmas, I opened up the 6 movie Blu-Ray collection. Doh! She doesn't know much about steelbooks and normal cases, so even though I showed her all 6 in person, she thought she found a better deal to get them grouped together. She had good intentions so I didn't ever buy the SBs because that would be a slap in the face to her gift. But I reeeeally want the SBs haha

According to the weekly ad, if you get the F&TF7 steelbook at $19.99, you can get the F&TF1-6 steelbooks for $7.99 each on the same order with the F&TF7 steelbook:

I missed that detail earlier when checking the weekly ad about the steelbooks.

Also, the Bond steelbooks are on sale for $11.99 each, save the 3-movie one with Daniel Craig ($19.99), which are $1 off their $12.99 normal price.   Each one includes a digital copy.

 
I was hoping for $9.99 or under on the Bond steelbooks.  I guess I'll wait and see on how much stock there is before deciding to buy as I'm really in no hurry.
