Suikoden IV Official Webpage

If you head over to the "Promotions" section you'll notice that they have quite a sweet liittle promotion going on right now. Basically, after you give Konami some personal information, you can enter special passwords in order to get some nice free stuff. 3 passwords scores you a CD of Suikoden music, 5 passwords gets you a Suikoden coin, and lastly, 7 passwords get you a wallscroll. As of now, I've found the following codes:

1. Electronic Gaming Monthly advertisement: magsnowe48
2. Suikoden Flash Puzzle Game: chiepoo19
3. Suikoden Flash Battleship Game: kooluk63

Right there are already enough passwords to at least score the CD. The "Clues" section also reveals that the Suikoden IV Art Book also has a code in it. If anyone could help the CAGs out with that code, I'm sure we'd all be very grateful. As of now, I suspect that there's probably also a password included with the game itself, maybe the player's guide? More magazine advertisements? Keep an eye open.

Perhaps, I've already got an offer for $15, I've really been trying to trade it rather than sell it, but if something doesn't work out by Tuesday I'll give up on that.

Stuff...:lol: RPGs and PS2, gba GC games. I've got a thread in the trading forum and I'm really trying to pick up a copy of fire emblem at the moment.

Well, I've got 5 legit codes. That's good enough for me. If I do end up stumbling over two more, great, otherwise, I'll be happy with my coin and soundtrack.
 
Anyone else notice going to the page today the promotions area is greyed out and when you mouse over it says "coming soon"?

They must have been in fixing it this morning.
I'm going to guess that they probably purged thier database of people who reused code via caps exploits or by using multiple artbook codes while they were at it.
 
I don't get it (Nor have I read this whole thread.) Earlier I entered the codes and registered. I got an email confirming registration. But I don't see a link to add more codes or go to my account. Or anythuing that tells me if they're shipping the CD.

I think someone said that it doesn't let you enter anymore codes after a certain number... I think 7 codes?

how come the page didn't show me all the previous codes I have entered when I have entered my codes again. Anyone know?
 
Why is it that it will accept all my other passcodes except my artbook code? It's not that someone else has used it, it's just that when I enter it, it shows up as a valid code, but if I close the window and go back to the enter password part, I have all my codes except for my art book code. It's as if I never put it in in the first place.

I actually don't even care if I don't find out the other 2 codes... the soundtrack and coin are good enough for me... the wallscroll likely would end up in the back of the closet anyway.
 
They're all in here.
With the exception of the Artbook Code, the other 4 active codes are in the thread.
One is from EGM.
One from the Game's instruction booklet.
The other two are from the flash games...and you have to complete the flash games before they credit you with them.

Well there was the N00B and his use capitalized versions of them but that's just as dumb if it actually works right now.

Their first job was to prevent dipshits from entering in multiple artbook codes, which I believe they have done, although I'm not gonna enter in a 2nd one to find out.

Next, they will be throwing out all entries with multiple 5 digit artbook codes.

It is undecided if they will be disallowing all artbook codes. The plan for right now is to wait and see, and if there is enough complaints from people who say their artbook code has been used, than they will be replacing it with a new code in a different mini-gmae to be released later.

Why would they disqualify people with multiple artbook codes? As I said earlier, I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility that some people probably have multiple artbooks. Obviously an entry with 7 artbook codes is pretty shady, and probably not legit, but come on, I can promise you that a lot of people have 2-3 artbooks all obtained in a legit manner. Wouldn't it make much more sense to just limit people to 1 artbook code, instead of throwing away all entries with 2 artbook codes?
 
Beacause that's the easiest brigh line to draw for Konami. They aren't gonna go case by case and see who has the artbooks and how many of them, it just doesn't make sense. The fact that the artbook was the only one-time use code shows enough intent that you were only supposed to use one of them. They just had the bad luck of people jumping on this and cheating the system the 3rd day it was up before they had the chance to idiot-proof it. This is the remedy that makes the most sense.

Don't you think it would make more sense for them to just allow 1 artbook code? Not DQ everyone that entered more then 1? Also where are you hearing this from? If this is indeed confirmed from Konami, I think I'm going to give them a call or E-mail them to alert them to the fact that a lot of people have multiple artbook codes without trying to cheat the system.

Sounds like Konami is only going to except one art book password. I just can't wait until the contest end to get my music cd.
 
This was from a reliable source at Konami, but if you want to contact them to voice your displeaure or alert them of scamming please feel free to do so. The reason why they wouldn't allow just one is because now there's lots of potential people that have just ONE that now can't use the code because someone else stole it. Those people would have an unfair shot at getting the contest items now - and the goal is that everyone have an equal shot at getting something. But as I said, that's why they are gonna wait and see how many complaints they get - there's a whole month before this contest is over you know.

Hmmm, fair enough

I just think it's kinda lame that some die hard Suikoden fans that bought multiple copies are going to get screwed over by being DQed. Maybe they should just not count any art book codes, release a new one and NOT DQ everyone that entered multiple codes.

I assume they are aware of that stupid caps exploit that idiot poster mentioned earlier? Or should I bother e-mailing them about that?
