If NOA does not bring this, I have four

you's for them this year:
1) Failing to bring Zangeki no Reginleiv Stateside, which I just imported (S&H) and paid $80. So at least I can play that now. I didn't expect it out of Japan honestly but it was worth hoping for. They still get a

you for it though lol
2) Failing to bring Xenoblade Stateside, which I'll give them a little more time to announce it before I begin importing it too. They better not disappoint me with this one, no

ing excuse.
3) Failing to bring the mother

ing Super Mario Collection Stateside, when both Europe and Japan are getting it. They got some time to fix this though and I'm very hopeful!
4) No Last Window for America? They get another

you, I have to import from Europe now.
Nintendo as a whole is making me a pretty happy gamer but NOA in particular is sucking hardcore lately.

That doesnt include Another Code R and Disaster, which got English release in Europe
NOA's big thing is if it's not guaranteed 500k in sales then they won't bother. Look at Tingle, Starfy, Fire Emblem, Earthbound/Mother, Magical Star Sign, etc. All released but not supported or advertised very well, what happened, sales tanked, then that gives them an excuse to not release follow up games or others from the same companies, because they cite lack of sales / interest by the buying public.
We should all be shocked we got Sin and Punishment 2 here, since it goes against this policy. But yeah I had to import Disaster and pissed me off since it SHOULD have been released here. I see Xenoblade and The Last Story coming to the US, since Nintendo needs some big gun RPGs for the Wii (like Baten Kaitos and Tales of Symphonia for GC)
The only thing that could stop that is the restructuring internally in the company lately with the marketing dept. getting shoved to NY and then loosing Cammie here recently (not that, that can't be construed as a good thing though

) but if Reggie and Iwata are all about the games, then the chances are pretty good for those two in particular.
Something like Another Code R, well the sales tanked, and that falls into the trap I mentioned earlier. If people bitch enough, we'll get the Mario Collection I think they're just deciding what to do with it right now, or how much they can gouge out of people for it...

# Since they know there is demand. (See the GC Zelda Collections)
Zangeki no Reginleiv looks cool (just watched the trailer) but again it falls into three issues for them. 1) It'd be M-rated, which reminds them of Conker's BFD 2) Niche game, SotC meets Dynasty Warriors 3) Sales...the almighty sales. So yeah, seriously don't see this happening, unless a miracle occurs.
3rd parties are shying away from localizing anything new for the Wii without sales potential since they aren't making said sales on it anymore, this is fact, just look at the dismal quality of 3rd party releases for the system in the past year.
The only thing that will help the Wii in the US is Nintendo giving it one last push before a successor console is named in the future. Depending on how bad the Wii is tanking after the 3DS release next Spring will determine what they do for
Rolvphiin  or whatever they call the next system and how soon it is going to be released either 2011-2012 or 2013 at the latest, and I predict no later than that.
It's at the 5 year mark next year, and Nintendo knows that Wii won't last 10 years like the competition, a little lack of foresight on their part for everything they've done right so far. Also one thing that stings for me (and all of us in the US) is the free trade agreement in Europe due to the European Union, is it any big shocker that niche games seem to flow like water over there?
That's because if any company (like Rising Star and other niche publishers) want to release the title over there, they can with no major issues from Nintendo, Sony, or MS. I noticed this when I was trying to find out why Europe got so many cool Shmups and Suda 51 games not released over here. They can make many of the deals and publish games over there that their US counterparts can't do because of refusal by the main body. (See Working Designs vs. Sony for more info)
So I'm with you in your complaints, I think Nintendo needs to ween itself off of Mario, Zelda and Pokemon (Metroid used to be a factor, but not so much in recent years) for as much as those games sell systems, people are bemoaning their lack of creativity and uniqueness after 25 years. And as I always say, whats going to happen to them when Miyamoto retires or dies? Think about that...(or even a lot of their designers are pushing late 50's now, when the retiring exodus happens, that won't be good for Nintendo at all)
