Super Smash Bros. Brawl - Gen. Discussion & Info

Getting one step closer to finishing those dam challenges. Most of my unfinished challenges are either time consuming or difficult ones- boss battle on intense, unlock 75 songs, collect all stickers, 100-Man Brawl with all characters, 10 cruel brawls, 1000 ko in brawl, 100 hours of brawl and collect all trophies.

Anybody got any tips for 10 cruel brawls challenge? Those enemies seem to KO in 2-3 hits.
I tried that one, in melee it works perfectly but around 75 ish kills those bastards realize you are doing it and gang up on you. Maybe if I keep at it but my problem is when they all gang up in one pack after like 75 kills, makes stuff very hard.
Not sure which challenge we're talking about, but in the 100 man one, if you use that strat, you eventually do have to move around a bit because yeah, they start crowding you.

It takes a few tries, and a bit of luck, but you'll get it.

Maybe I will keep at it, I mean the 15 minute melee but the 15 minute melee keeps score of how many you killed so thats why I said that because they do get harder the more you kill.
2 Questions, first off who do you suggest to complete the time limit in target smash 5?

Second what is the easiest and cheapest way to finish the 15 min melee? I tried jigglypuff and falco but both of them when trying the keep on the ledge tactics fail both for me because they still hit me or I fall off.

Oh and BTW did anyone try the Snake trick at his stage yet? Basically go to snake stage and play as snake and if you have a d-pad to taunt, press the down taunt really fast. If done correctly he will call one person from metal gear solid and you get a very awesome conversation about your opponent and there is one for each fighter in the game.
1. Fox is ideal choice for break the target. His swiftness + long range attack= fast time. Use gun weapon to destroy hard to reach targets.

2. You can leave one enemy alive and start running like pussy. Keep your kill count low . The more you kill the AI starts to get smarter and more aggressive.

For the 15 minute melee, there are instances before or after an actual character shows up (not an alloy) where there will be only two alloys, just jump around the stage, and try to make sure they don't die by throwing away any bombs, just keep on jumping from one end to another, you'll buy some time that way.

For cruel melee, use Pit or Jigglypuff and fly from one end of the stage to the other, by going under the stage, you lure enemies in and they fall to their death.

I was browsing around the menus and I noticed that you need points to send replays to people. What's the deal? Are points free?

I used pikachu for level 5 smash target. I also did that Pit thing on cruel melee, used the Up+B to go from side to side under the map. Pretty easy since the yellow and red alloys are stupid.
Who was I just playing against for a while? BlueLobstah?
Yeah, that was me. We had some good 1vs1 matches going there for a while!

A friend of mine notified me the other night about GameBattles.com, where MLG is already getting an online ranking system set up for Brawl. I signed myself up, and my goodness, I played against the roughest Olimar and Game & Watch ever.

I think I just uncovered a glitch in brawl, I did a quick 300% death match me (link) vs 3 jiggleypuffs at lvl 1 to get my kills up for that damn challenge (at Final Destination Stage). Anyway a strange thing happened. One jiggly got the final smash and did it, ok thats fine. Every time she respawned after she died (or almost everytime) she acted like she had the final smash and she could do it every time. So that was about 10 unnecessary deaths, lol.

Tried it again and same thing happened this time without jigglypuff getting a final smash.
Great games Strell, Walrus and the other guy(s?) who were there.
Other than the lag in the first few matches, those were good. :)

The one-on-ones with Strell afterward were interesting, because I think that almost all of them (except for the one where he decimated my Donkey Kong with that little jerk Lucas) went into sudden death. I think he won all of those (save for the one where the Bob-ombs just barely killed him before they did me), but I'd like to think I held my own.

Co-op event number 5 is the worst, mother-fucking bitch of them all. None of them were difficult, except this one! :bomb: (I'm only doing hard difficulty.)

EDIT: Just got 100% on SSE.

I want to battle you one on one with no lag, Mr. Beef. That stuff really throws me off. :/
What's your console number so I can send ya stuff?
PM it to me.

Right now I'm going to sleep though.

Alright. So I'm at 87% on SSE. But, what do you get besides extra trophies , music, stickers for getting all 100%??

Anybody finished all 100% yet?

I've got Wolf,Toon Link, and the pink ball of doom!!(Jiggypuff) that didn't seem to change the percent at all it seemed..

You get nothing for 100%...not even a notice (notification).

You don't even get a trophy for getting 100% in SSE?
Are there ANY trophies related to the SSE? (besides picking them up during stages)

I can't remember any. I you get a few things if you beat the game (don't remember what) besides that SSE mode is great for unlocking characters only and maybe picking up some stickers or trophies in the levels.

Keep in mind you can't get 100% until after you beat SSE mode once.

Not sure if it counts as "picking them up during stages" but there are those trophy stands you can lunge at enemies to turn them into a trophy. Also unsure if you can get these from the coin launcher too.

I just got 100% in SSE. Took me 17 hours. I enjoyed all of it other than The Great Maze. You could probably beat it a lot quicker, but I got stuck on a few levels.

Yea good games so far Kent and Tom, but JJ dude... stop running and fight some it's called Super Smash Bros. not Super Running Pit. They have a spectator mode if you like that more :D.
Wootn, I really hate this map. Too damn big!
Yea the map is big but it's not the problem so much as the mentality of people that play Pit.

Edit: he is a fine character and flying brings a new element into the game however it seems to be that the peole that tend to use him just use the flying to evade any real battle the entire match.
I'm going to leave the room, nice playing with you Wootn, going to do more single player stuff now. JJ - I loathe your Pit.
Tom you were the last one on my list on. qq
