The only way I can imagine a Ganondorf being any good in any kind of match is if they spam the kick/grab combo, since it doesn't lag if you do it just right (or so DMK showed me).
That and focusing not on using Smash attacks, but on using strong lean attacks. Ganon's normal punches and kicks could send some people flying and keep the momentum in his favor.
