I'm going to write another two paragraphs, then I'll be back. So about an hour (Read: I'm going to surf the internet for forty minutes, then crack out two crappy paragraphs in about twenty).
Thanks for the Pit practice, guys. I now have a pretty good sense of what moves have priority over Yoshi's attacks (read: all
). He and G&W I have to be really careful against if I want to win.
EDIT: dyeknom is taunting me with his Seeking Brawl displayed across my TV. Darn you dyeknom!
EDIT2: GGs dyeknom! Back to my paper!
EDIT3: Thoughts: I still have a lot of issues to work out with Yoshi. One of the things that impressed me most about FallMoon was that she never just sat there in a shield. She knew what to do, and she anticipated where you'd go. I think if I wish to be as successful as her, I need to act on my instincts more often. That and I need to string things together more on low %s. I'll get there eventually.
Meanwhile, I think both Dedede and Sheik have improved a bit.

Your best bet right now is to buy it off eBay with a Buy It Now! option to pay with Paypal. There's some threads around here that are labeled Microsoft Live Search Cashback. You have a chance of getting 30% cashback on the sale (though it'll take at least 74 days to be posted to a paypal account).
Otherwise check the trading threads - someone is bound to be selling it for $35 bucks or less.

I believe I got 17th out of...120+ people?
Everyone was divided into 20 groups where everyone played each other and the best 3 out of each group of 5-7 advanced to the 60 player double elimination bracket. I tied for 2nd in my 5 player pool at 5-3. I believe Arikado got 2nd in his pool at...6-2?
My draw was a little better than his. He got RoyR the first round and got stomped, then in the losers bracket he got one of the big shots that flew in from out of state, and got stomped
I got a noob the first round, then 2nd round got Stiltz, who has won several tournaments in Houston. I beat him decidedly, and no one saw it!
3rd round I get a super big shot from out of state, Mew2King (M2K). Though he beat me both 2-0, I gave him a good run. I got the first kill in both rounds, and was way up in the 2nd round. I was definitely within striking distance.
Next round in the loser's bracket I get Infinity, one of the top players from Dallas. I SO had it and I threw it away. Won the first round, was up in the 2nd but blew it, lost the 3rd
I played a set with RoyR later during casuals, since he is the MK killer. While he beat me 2-0, it was very close - High damage, last stock both rounds.
Also, I got a set in with Arikado
