Super Smash Bros. Brawl - Gen. Discussion & Info
I could see Tails more of a clone of Sonic than Knuckles, just make a floaty jump with helicopter tail action and you got a stew going. I'd kill for Knuckles though. Unlike Sonic, he doesn't chuckle. He'd rather flex his muscle.
Just let me remind you that Knuckles is hard as nails, it ain't hard to tell. He'll break'em down whether they're solid or frail.

EDIT: Love this stage theme. Hope it can make it into SBB.
they are once again proving that they have no desire to work with third parties
This is some really, really terrible logic.

You don't know anything about the development process for Brawl, so you have absolutely no idea how it works.
An outright denial by the man in charge of Mega Man isnt solid proof? What would be, access to the source code?
Have you read either article?

Huh. I think the fact that Sakurai specifically mentioned Knuckles leads me to believe that Knuckles will be included as a hidden character. Or, at least, that Angel Island will be a hidden stage. But if Angel Island is in there, it had better be in addition to a Green Hill Zone stage, not instead of it.

I mean, I don't think Sakurai would mention Knuckles if we weren't getting something, even if it's just a Knuckles assist trophy.
so sonic has a super saiyen mode...
Jesus christ, where have you been for the last few years?

:applause:

Did you know we just found out Mario shoots fire?

Have you?

Well, I really do love Super Smash Brothers. It's a great series...but, Nintendo hasn't asked me yet if they can use Mega Man in their game. I'm still waiting...we have a little bit of time left, it's not coming out for another few months. They might get around to asking us if we'd like to put Mega Man in Super Smash Brothers. Maybe if somebody from Nintendo is listening to this podcast, they'll give me a call.

Again, PR denials are usually roundabout neat ways of saying "No Comment". This is an outright denial, from the man in place to sign the contact to OK MM in Brawl.

So I ask again, "What kind of proof do you need? Source code access?"

well now that you are big trophy hunting, i just wonder the actual frequency of the bases and if they disappear if you don't pick them up while fighting
I will be pretty upset if Nintendo neglects Capcom or Konami for this game. Sure, they have Solid Snake, but they are once again proving that they have no desire to work with third parties since they really don't need to in order to make money. I wish Nintendo would surprise us and get some more characters. We don't need any more pokemon and we don't need any filler characters. We need more third party support!
How can Nintendo be showing no desire to work with third parties in a game that features third party characters? You do realize this is the opposite of neglect right? It's quite rare for a first party game to have third party characters.
SUPER SAIYAN SONIC. Rayquaza as a boss looks fun.
Only if you use the Ice Climbers.

That seems odd... the Emissary needs some giant laser gun to turn characters into trophies, but all you need is a golden pedestal.

Perhaps at some point, once you beat Bowser or Wario, you get to use the gun yourself.

I dont know, I might phrase it, "You had to hit a person at point blank range with a pedistal to turn someone into a trophy, but the villians get to use a gun."

;)

Point taken. Now to move on to the mystery of what these Shadow Bugs are that they mention on the Big Primid trophy description.

The creepy black rain that falls during the videos. The invidiual "drops" are Shadow Bugs. Now, what that means.... I have no idea.

Angel Island zone is going to freaking sweet.

I can picture it now. First the stage starts off looking tropical and stuff, then the one miniboss from Act 1 shows up and torches the place, turning it into a whole different looking level.
Yep. They've managed to squeeze even more shit in this game. Good-bye life and grades.
That's part of the reason I wish this game was out now; I have nothing better to do during the holidays.

Well, that, and the fact that I want this game now.

Yeah, I think so.

A few more impressions from the Brawl demo at Jump Festa.

- Kirby feels more like his N64 counterpart
- The Pokemon Trainer shouts out the names of the Pokemon he uses
- Duster (Mother 3) and Rosalina are assist trophies
- Sandbag is an item

Don't forget the Wifi update under Dragoon. Also:

All seven languages of Smash Bros. Dojo will take a year-end holiday break from posting following December 28. We plan to resume posts on January 7.
Have a happy new year.

:(

:(
Oh please, it's not like there's been anything truly groundbreaking recently.

That is almost exactly how the Dragoon worked in Kirby's Air Ride. It was always a mad dash to get all of its parts before time ran out. What a cool reference.
why no updates recently?
read the message on the website. There will be no updates until january 5th. I instinctly log in every day anyway
