Super Smash Bros. Brawl - Gen. Discussion & Info

Our first 1v1 was decent, but the second was laggy.

Edit: Doubt it'll help, but I reseted my router. I usually don't lag on Metal Gear Online so it's got to be Nintendo, I hope.

Actually, my connection is good. I don't get lag when I play Hero, Jack, Joe, Foo, ect. But when David joins then things get iffy. I've had lag with Suko in the past.
When I played him that first time tonight we had a little lag but not this bad. Now that I just played him again 1v1 it's even worse. Ugh!


I'm pretty sure lag is mostly due to a players connection and not so much due to Nintendo's server. Otherwise I would have lag occasionally when I play, and I don't. Not until a known lagger joins the mix.

I don't own a car so public transportation is my only ride and that can be a real pain. Unless your route is in Berkeley, I don't think I can make it. If you can, I would love to duke it out to see how well I stack against real tourney players.

EDIT: You have a lotta sales charts on your blog. You must be on GAF right?

I lurk there, but I dont have an account.

The route on my trip will be based on people I'm visiting, so I can drop by as long as you dont mind me staying the night. I'm gonna be zigzagging all over the place.

Short answer, yes. Up to two people per console can play online.

Oops! Sorry guys! I ended up leaving to get Zack and Wiki at TRU followed by dinner! I'm such an airhead sometimes!

I'm jumping on now to see if anyone is on!

EDIT: Sorry guys, I feel really bad now, especially considering I never get to 1v1 suko. I'll hang out for a while if anyone catches this.

It's weird how I'm lagging now. I'll fix it before I try brawl again. The thing is, all my other online games work great online...

Oh I would really love to, but I'd probably lag us both down. I'm not at college right now so I haven't changed my channel on my home router to 1 or 11.

Considering I haven't played as much Brawl recently, I still feel pretty good in my performance tonight.

Good games to JoeB and dastly. I wish you could've joined us suko, but I don't know what was up with that lag.

So I've been playing with certain items on for a week now, thanks to Evo's tournament rules, and I have to say, Falco and Kirby are damn good. They just take full advantage of the screen with their Final Smashes, and they're both hard to fight against in general. Anyone else have any character suggestions for me? I was thinking about using Sonic, but his lack of range is...disturbing.
 
Personally, I can't stand using any (or being up against) of the Fox series' specials as they are soo cheap. As for a recommendation, try using Pit - I have a good feeling you'll like him.

You guys up for some games tonight? Been out of the loop for a little while but I'd be glad to come back.
