I remember trying to flip it when it first came out and I saw that there was an overstock after the initial supply (preorders) ran out. I sold it at a $40 loss. Anyways, good for you! always nice to make money off of uninformed consumers!

I don't think the problem is you flipping these, the problem is you coming in here to brag about flipping. You have to expect that will rub some people the wrong way, especially the folks that wanted to get in on this deal but couldn't.

FYI, no hate intended here, just pointing out why you might want to avoid bragging about your flips.

not when i wouldn't have known about the deal unless someone was kind enough to post it for the rest of the CAG "COMMUNITY". i just ask people not to come on the same thread and brag about flipping games that other people can't get because they are OOS.

If I remember correctly, KMartGamer said drops weren't universal and stores had 7 days to drop the price on a non-sale ad item before they would be in trouble w/corporate.

I would check back in a couple of days and if that didn't work then I would call corporate.

yeah... EA is like that unfortunately. However you can set up a sub, get your free 30 days, and cancel as soon as you get those 30 days on your account.

Pretty much this, the whole "look at how much I flipped it for, lalala" ticks some people off, mainly those that couldn't get in the deal because of someone who bought several.

I don't ever get why people brag about it anyways, when I sell something for a profit I don't come in here and blog about it like I'm some badass. All that does is stir up shit, but I guess that's what some people want? lol

I always wonder how some users can use CL but yet be absolutely clueless about the online prices, especially on something such as a Collector's Edition. You'd think they would be a bit more savvy than to just buy it from some random guy instead of checking online first. So good job, no doubt about that.

I'm not surprised by that at all. And don't forget, some of the funding for the game is likely coming from people who subscribed, stopped playing, yet are still getting that monthly subscription fee charged to their card. It's a tax on the stupid and lazy.

Yeah, I'm not sure what "CL" is, but people will buy anything on eBay for ridiculous prices--and the internet is full of people who just don't bother to research prices.
 
I was surprised to find a few around where I live left. Although, being in the middle of no where does help a little too.I was able to pick up an extra one of these from a Kmart near my work. Willing to sell it to a fellow CAG member. Not sure how much shipping would be though. PM me.

And the real crazy part is... the new normal price on these things is like $75 at a lot of Brick and mortar stores.

The problem with that is that Kmart.com doesn't list the price anymore, just says it's temporary unavailable (unless I'm missing something). If I could pull up their site with the price on it, I would gladly try to pricematch it in-store.

cheaper than buying a smart phone to use with their free app I guess? Reminds me.... I should sell mine on ebay with the soundtrack for $30 and make the statue and game free :)

Will Best Buy just look at the Fry's website and price match it? Since shipping was only .99 I'd still be saving about 10.00 by returning and buying at Best buy.
 
I got mine yesterday and the top of the box was destroyed. It sucks because it had to be like that when it was shipping. I guess the guy packing it at the warehouse didn't care. Now they are sold out so I can't get a replacement. If they get more in in the next 30 days I can.

At least all the items in the box were still in good shape. The Styrofoam around the statue was busted up.

BTW their web site has to be the most annoying system ever. FYI if you get locked out because of the security question, you just have to do a password reset. You don't have to call customer service! It would be nice if they just old you that...

My box is pristine. There isn't a nick on it. However, tonight I unpacked a bent steel case and a cracked statue base. KMart can't do anything other than send me a return label. The CE is out of stock. The cs agent did offer me 10% off if I would keep it. LOL. I'll check to see if Gamestop has any copies remaining that have not been gutted.
 
Got my Kmart order in the mail today. I'm really impressed with the box. I can't remember seeing a nicer CE box. The Darth Malgus statute is quite nice as well. I'm very pleased overall, but I'm having an awful hard time understanding how this thing ever retailed for $150.

Yea I got annoyed by this as I was in best buy looking for it on Iphone. They had 3 sitting on the shelve.

This is what i get for being lazy and not heading down their earlier in the week (best buy is a block from job).

Then again so is kmart but I haven't bothered to pass by their either.

Try price matching to Gamestop. It is $29.99 there too. I accessed GS's site on my phone earlier today to receive a price match from BB for FF XIII-2 CE.

Look at what the Skyrim CE retailed for, the dragon statue with it sucks ass compared to Malgus on quality control. Bigger, yes. Quality, no. It feels like some flimsy toy that you would pay $20 for, not a finely painted statue. Plus, the Malgus is a Gentle Giant statue, those things cost quite a bit on their own ($60 and up each normally)
 
Stopped back by my Kmart tonight, it rang up $29.99. However the Kmart employee said, "Uh, I'm not sure if I can sell this to you." I said, "Oh really, and why is that?" He responded with, "We got some kind of email from corporate. They said we weren't supposed to sell them until they confirmed that this wasn't some kind of mistake." I said, "I was in here two days ago and I told you it was selling for $29.99 on your website. So now, it's ringing up at the correct price and you're saying you CAN'T sell it to me?!? That's horseshit and you know it. I'm buying this game."

I purchased one of two SW: TOR CE's and walked out. F#$#ing K-Mart.
 
I got mine yesterday after I ordered it on monday. The box had no packaging and was beat to hell. The game box was in great condition even though the box was falling apart. If it wasnt for the fact the game was $30 I would be ripping Kmart customer service. I already did once when I placed the order and never got the tracking info. I had to email customer service because its not posted in the order when I looked on kmart.com.

Thanks for mentioning this. Because of your post, I decided to stop by my local Kmart. As I walked into the electronics department, I saw only one of the previous two SW: TOR CE's left. I knew it had to be marked down. Sure enough it was, and I grabbed the remaining box. Now I just need to figure out what to do with the game and all the in-game stuff since I'm not interested in the game at all....
