Weird... I got a PM from a CAG awhile ago, it wasn't Qacer, asking me all about Interbay and their PS3 preorders and Interbay's track record.

Not knowing alot about it, I referred him to this thread since other people knew more than me, but he never posted it looks like.

This is just kind of weird all these Interbay people are coming out of the woodwork.

I'm guessing because it comes up in a search engine and all these people got screwed?

I own a flea market stand at WagonWheel and I preordered, I got my ps3 system, after reading the posts here, only one person here actually preordered which was otherguy576. So who is getting screwed?

It's been made known to me that apprently Interbay has several IP's he's using to keep creating accounts here, and that the problem will be taken care of. The guy known as "gamingstore", who made a post here about how he works at the Wagonwheel, he got his PS3 from Interbay, and we're all the problem was deleted pretty quick, he was just Interbay under his 3rd or 4th name.

I'm not one to talk shit, for the most part, but these kind of tactics, making multiple accounts just to come on here and make US look bad, dosen't do a whole lot of good for your store, Mr. Interbay. Myself, and many other people who read this thread, are very much into video games and would have loved to have a local store to support, will now avoid you like the plague.

I have personally told many of my gaming friends to just straight up avoid your store, who in turn are telling their friends... you've created bad press for yourself simply by coming here and insulting us again and again and again.

The sad part is, the day BEFORE you came here and stirred up trouble, I was going to go down to your store with two of my friends and check it out, maybe buy some old games, but your tactics and attitude just drove away potential customers.

I'm sure he'll make one last account to reply to this about how I'm stupid, or make up some shit about me, but I hope he at least learned one lesson, that when you're a small store you need to not push away your customers, because you'll create a ripple that will push away many other customers. I know of at least 4 people I've told, and if they told 4 people a piece, that's 21 people counting myself you just drove off from your store.
 
Very true. I was actually going to check out Interbay since it's not far from where I work in Westshore Blvd. Then, I saw a post about his multiple arrest record. Also, the fact that he told some of you that PS3 shipments were going to be delayed till December, which is almost over.

Watch out Roufuss, dont want to stir up that lawsuit for stealing stuff at Best Buy ;-).

But i mean, i cant necessarily blame the guy. As many grand theft arrests he has and the fact that he owns a business, he must be one money grubbing jew. So he's gonna take as many lame-ass steps he can to try to clear his name.

Its kinda funny for someone who says that were just a bunch of "kids talking shit on the internet", he does seem to be taking it very personally.

Nah, its alright. I just know now to sock anyone i see wearing a red hat @ best buy or rhino.

I was able to snag another Stubbs & Winback 2 for Rhino fodder. Unfortunately Gamestop only had gutted new copies, so no B2G1 >

The nerdy looking guy AND the hispanic guy were the ones who accused me of having games in "too good of condition" when I was taking advantage of the deal in August. I complained to corporate at the time, and they sent me a $20 gift card. I stayed away through the fall drought and returned last week to get new Wii games for cheap. Anyway, be careful around them. They're nasty!

The guy is kind of short, a little stocky, face is a little pimply, he's got a preppy kind of haircut, he dosen't talk often, I've never seen him smile once.

Also, for anyone looking: The Wal-Mart on U.S. 19 South had about five or six 60 gig PS3s in the case this morning. For a second, I thought about it. But I can't say I really even want one right now.

He's the one who insuinating I was a perv for buying Dead or Alive Xtreme 2 when I was just trying to make simple conversation.

Me: Hey, have you heard how this is?

Him: Well, I heard they brought the girls and forgot the gameplay, so if staring at computer women is your thing, then yea.

Me: It sure is!!

He said it in the most dry tone too and didn't even crack a smile.

He asked my friend where all the Ape Escape 3's and Nightmare's were coming from, but my friend is smart and just said "Oh, they are common games, alot of people are thinning out their collection and heard Rhino has the best values" so, phew.

I'm trying to plan a time to go up there when I know this guy ISN'T up there... its only recently I started seeing him.

But yea, total douche. I was going to go this morning but my friend somehow wasn't home, and I want to trade in both pairs I have and lay low on the Rhino front for awhile, because the dude gives me a dirty look every time I go in.

That's funny about that Rhino guy. I will say that their corporate folks are pretty nice and understood why I was so upset — especially since I'm driving 25-30 minutes just to shop at their store. So if it gets really bad, or you feel you've been slighted in any way, give them a call.

Well, the problem I have is that the guy is obviously getting sick of getting the same games from me (so I don't have a leg to stand on), but in my defense I'm not breaking any of their rules. Only 1 copy per day, and I go maybe every 4 - 7 days to dump off some more games.

It's just his general attitude that gets to me, everyone else in Rhino is really nice but this guy is just...not.

I just have a feeling if I show up another time with these same two games all hell will break loose :lol:

I kind of feel bad that it's Christmas time and the store is still so dead on the inside... it's never busy at all.

I got into Best Buy at about 10:15 this morning, there werent any Zelda guides left *shakes fist*. According to the store locator theres some left in the Clearwater location, spending $10+ in gas to save $10 isnt worth it. I guess ill stick with my Nintendo Power guide i got with my subscrpition.

Berzerker, be VERY careful about trading in AE 3 and Nightmare... I personally wouldn't do it anymore, check out my post in the Rhino thread. You're asking for trouble now if you trade them in, sorry, but I guess I blew it for everyone for those two games... Rhino is making up bullshit rules to stop me.

I found tons of AE3's, but i didnt want to get too many and not have any Nightmares to go with them. So i got one just in case i couldnt find another game to be its "trade partner"

Nightmare was supposed to be for PS2 right? I noticed the LoL location had the XBX version for $14.99 in the clearance bins with Odama ($12, so tempting).

Nightmare is $3 for Xbox, not PS2 ;)

Busch might still have some hiding in that large box display.
 
I looked all over at Busch (even in the glass cases in front). I wish i had known it was XBX because they had like 5 of them at the LoL store.

But i think after what happened to you and your friend, ill be safer not combining those two games for a while...

Oh yea, for anyone who reads this thread thats looking for Ikaruga, Rhino @ Citrus Park has it for $34.99 used (not quite as good as the $8-$12 walmart had it for a while back, but it seems to be going anywhere from $35-80 on ebay)

Yea... I know, it's total BS.

Luckily I've got some emails and some #'s I will start taking advantage of right now on my friend's behalf, so maybe, somehow, they will give him that $20 credit back so he can at least get Guitar Hero for his brother.

Like I said, sorry for fucking this up, I'm usually real careful and I spaced all of my visits out about 4 - 5 days per visit, always making sure to get different employees... I was flagged in the fucking computer or something.

Got a 60 Gig PS2 today at blockbuster while I was trying to return my 20gig. They sold me the 60 gig but refused to take my 20 gig because the seal was broken (which the store broke). They also had a Wii but would not sell me one because it was "1 console per household" and I bought the PS3. So now Im stuck with an extra 20 gig (a 2nd extra if Interbay EVER gets mine in). Anyone want a 20 gig PS3 at cost?:)

IIRC, he works near the 34th Street South Gamerush, so I have *assume* it was that one, but I don't know for sure... it might be worth it to call them.

The one on 49th street. They sold one Wii when I was there but told me the PS3 and the Wii were in stock all day. Give them a call, it is very possible it is still there. I know the PS3 is not selling as quick in general (just look at Ebay), the Wii is definitely the harder of the two consoles to get ahold of so I was shocked that the two had lasted all day.

So does anyone else think that Sony's time on top is about to end?
 
Had no trouble trading in Ape Escape 3 @ Rhino, i got the hispanic guy and this new girl thats working there (not much to look at unfortunately). The only thing the guy commented on is that he knew it qualified (never said anything negative to me, just kept on with the trade.) I also traded Bust a Move PSP (which i got @ Circuit City Citrus Park for $7.99 - there were 5 left )I was able to get the last of the Gamecube Twilight Princesses, unfortunately its a gutted copy.

Amazing, the same copy that was "out of stock" yesterday when I asked.

Oh well, I'm just waiting on Rhino to answer my email at this point, and I got my friend to send one too.

Even if I still could do more trades, I wouldn't know what to get anymore, since I think they were legitmately 100% out of Tiger Woods 2007 since the new case wasn't even on the wall (I made sure to look on my way out).

I think I'll be on the down low until the new year when Lost Planet comes out, then I'll flip some EB stuff to them. I'll be damned if I ever bring in my real games to trade again, though (which is what I was doing as well).
 
You know what we're missing in Tampa Bay?

A good shop that sells PS2 imports... I would throw a store so much $$$ if they stocked imports (and not just handhelds, like EB / GS / Rhino do).
 
I am new to the forum, which is great for finding deals.

There were 2 different stores that sold import games, microplay which changed its name to megaplay on 56th and fowler, dale mabry in carrollwood and a location on hillsborough ave. They were shut down one by one by sony for doing import games.

2nd store that did import games was called gameswitch of tyrone area, they were shut down by microsoft for doing import games.

Its illegal to sell import games, granted people do it, but they dont last long. Also to play import games you would need a mod chip or other device which is also illegal.

Does anyone know about the store I saw on macdill called ideal music and games? they were closed when I drove by.

Anyone know where to find a wii? and the super monkey ball game?
 
I also saw a store on 66th street before you get to US 19, it was a video rental place, but they had a video game section. The owners appear to be swedish. Do not know if they sell import games, I was in hurry when I stopped by.

For any local gamers wanting Zelda Twlight Princess on Gamecube check out Westshore Mall Gamestop.

They had 10 copies come in on Friday.

Maybe they still have some. This is a amazing game.
