Target Clearance Thread XXII

I don;t know if he was joking, lying or serious, but he said that their store "regularly throws away" items that are no longer in their inventory system when they do inventory scans on the floor, and that they had recently threw away a bunch of older Xbox, Vita and PS3 things. He told me to check the dumpster out back, but it was midday, I was in a rush and don;t normally (or ever) do things like that so I did not.
Worked in a (Target)store for 6 years and at corporate for 2, sounds like BS; never heard of anything like this.

I went into my store and they had two phones, but they were ringing up as $80 when the tag said $50 and the DCPI scanner said $15 and the guy radioed a manager I guess and she would only let him drop it to $50.

Are you sure it was the 635? The 640 might have been stuck on the peg for the 635.

Yeah on second glance you're right. I checked the picture I took and the box was the 640...damn wish I'd have paid more attention I would have grabbed one at $50. 😞

Man, I can't find the clearance section at the local Target anymore. They keep moving it around and last time I as there didn't see it.

When in doubt, I always check the end of the aisles. That tends to be where the majority of the clearance stuff is located in every department. Some targets will have their own dedicated clearance aisle for electronics. But only if they have enough to fill a whole aisle.

I know Romeo is keen on getting any and all Target clearance updates for non-videogame items, thus here is a report specifically targeting the Lego clearance of this current cycle.  Please see the Lego thread for the larger, more detailed list including many DPCIs I posted, however this week will most likely be the last drop and things will also probably be falling out of the system come Thursday or Friday.

A couple of sets only hit 50% off so that is most likely the lowest they will go, but they did so at every store thus I doubt they will be restocked or available at Target stores after this cycle.  This includes the Guardians of the Galaxy Milano (204-00-0239 $49.98, half off the very overpriced re-price Target did a month or two back way up to $99.99) and the GotG Knowhere Escape Mission (204-00-0241 $19.98).

Almost all other sets that are on clearance at anywhere from one to most if not all Targets will be at 70% off later this week, if not already there.  The trouble of course is finding them.  Good luck.

So I'm not imagining that it used to be $80 and not $100.

I searched for some common clearanced toys online and see that the vast majority of the Targets in my area have not clearanced any of these items.

Can I expect this to happen tomorrow could it be any day?

usually the toys drop on Thursday or Friday. Grab the dpci and check brickseek to save yourself a trip to the store

If they haven't started clearancing this cycle at most of your stores, more likely than not they won't go on clearance until the next you clearance around or just after Christmas. That has usually been the case for me. I would just keep an eye on the ones I'm interested in

Today I picked up a Roku 3 on clearance for $49.99 DPCI 008-06-1514 and a Seagate 1TB Backup Plus Slim Portable Drive for $34.99 DPCI 056-02-0093. Also, there are a lot of high priced routers for 50% off such as Netgear Nighthawk AC3200 for $149.99. Sorry, didn't get the DPCI.

Strangely, the only store near me that had the Roku at that price is the same one that is the only one that had the HDD at that price.

No discounts on the Roku or Nighthawk routers here, drives completely gone.  Would like that Nighthawk at like $100 since it's about $170 on Amazon and there's regularly, like a couple times a month, deals where it's packaged with other items for that price too.

Picked up Roku 3 (DCPI 008-06-1541) on clearance for $29.xx at the Fullerton, CA, store on Yorba Linda Blvd.  According to Brickseek, "Saleable Qty" was 0 and "On Hand Qty" was 2.  I actually found the 2 on the shelf along with 2 other Roku 3 boxes at full price.  The boxes look exactly the same.  But the one on clearance has "4230R" on the UPC while the regular priced one has "ROKU."  Since I actually needed 2, I picked up the last 2 on clearance.

You probably won't believe this, given that this is the Target game clearance thread and all, but...a bunch of games went on clearance today.

Hey guys

thanks for the heads up on the Roku 3, I was able to get one in Homewood Alabama,

Brickseek had 1 on hand qty, and the associate had to look for it in the back and was brand new sealed.

now does anyone have a noob guide to get all the pvt channels in Roku?

I know that some people in Mexico give you access to a pvt channel that includes live TV , PPV,s and Torrent streams. the thing is that you have to pay them via paypal a monthly "subscription" which I believe is total BS, I think one can do it himself.

ive checked Reddit.com/r/roku but no luck so far

heres a link to a user that has this sort of service

https://www.reddit.com/r/Roku/comments/32z623/my_dad_bought_a_roku_3_in_mexico/

thank you !

I saw the same games on clearance as RetroX did at the Bainbridge store in Aurora Ohio. These will likely hit 70% and serve as some nice case replacements for  me. The only none shovel ware game I saw was Black Ops 1... for the Wii. Oh well.

Anyone happen to know what days soft lines and the home areas update their clearance prices? Have yet to figure that out.

Picked up :3ds: tales of the abyss for 14.99 207-02-1376
Well worth it, I just hit 30 hours on it last night and enjoying it very much.

There are no more around Phoenix...of course I got mine when a few stores had em for $9.98 for some unknown reason. And I should seriously start on that. I was going to crack open Legendia today but screw that...

No help number wise but also saw Pokémon conquest and pokemon black half off. Someone grabbed them before I had a chance to get numbers
207-02-1434 for Pokemon Myster Dungeon Gates to Infinity

Woah Woah Woah! They have Nickelodeon Dance for Wii?!?! I MUST HAVE!!!

But seriously, I haven't seen one of them at any of my local Targets since I saw the black and white printout in one of the cases saying they would get more but never did. That thing is STILL there!

Are you willing to pick up one for me for price + shipping? :) (KH 2.5)

I'm still salty over how Target lists those KH Remix as one SKU. Their site lists the first one as the LE by default, and the non-LE is under the same SKU. Bought it online for in-store pickup, went there, it was the base game. I say this both to be a complainer and to tell people that the number for KH 2.5 LE might be the same as the base game as well, so just because it might show as in-stock for you, it might not actually be the LE.

Thanks for posting the UPC info. They were not marked as clearance at my store and sitting in the regular Roku spot. Scored one at 30 and I'm quite happy with it.

Thanks so much to the people that mentioned Game & Wario was on clearance for $14.98.  The local Target had one still in the plastic prison marked at $29.99 but it rang up $14.98.  Nice to get another title off the WiiU must-have list.

Dumb n00b question:

If an item is rumored to be on clearance in multiple Target stores (ex: Roku 3 discussed above), yet my store does not have a Clearance sticker placed on that product, do the self-pricecheck things around the store show the clearance price when scanned? Or, is the only way to determine a clearance price is to bring it to a cashier?

Just do it.

Scan it. The Roku I picked up showed the clearance price at the scanner.

You can also type in the DCPI numbers at the scanner rather than asking an employee to pull something like a game out of the case to scan it.
