Target Clearance Thread XXII

Puyo Puyo Tetris finally dropped to $14.98 at the local Target. Brickseek shows $14.98 at all stores in this area. I haven't been checking Target clearance racks recently... do games still typically drop to 70% off after a couple more weeks?

If one were to return/rebuy something, would you go to the original store location or the most convenient one? Or would it be easier to return and come back later to do the rebuy?

Reason, wife bought 2 Turtle Beach PS4 headsets but didn't realize that the sale price should have been $38.98 instead of MSRP which is what it rung up as. I guess I was a bad CAG and sent her out before the clearance price kicked in. Both stores have it down to the clearance price (and both stores are OOS), but I fear that a return/rebuy with a Cartwheel coupon is going to be messy.

If it's within two weeks, tell them you heard the price dropped and if it would possible to get a price adjustment.

Didnt see if this had been posted yet but i was at a target and saw these joy con armor guards for $7.50. DPCI 207000615. the number ties against all colors but ive added pictures of all 3. also they had some zombies in spaceland stuff down. Coffee cup at 1.49 DPCI 207041597. Sorry for blurry on that one.

Brickseek showed 2 KI: DE at my local store for $9.98 and I spent about 20 minutes looking yesterday...clerk said last copy was sold on 12/30. They still show up in Brickseek today.  Must be lost in the store somewhere.  

Grabbed the Switch 24 card case for $2.98 and the double joycon protector pack for $4.98.

Weird, because I heard that the clearance price wouldn't keep getting lowered unless they had a copy on hand.

my store has 3 on hand ( i work there) but we don't have any. a lot of theft in my store. once the games hit the bargain endcap where they're place in lock up cases , they disappear.

It's a rough neighborhood near this Target so yeah they were probably stolen.

 
Not exactly gaming related (though you could find good storage cabinets) but Target is quietly phasing out Threshold as a brand and YMMV but all furniture, bedding, and home decor is up to 70% off in-store ONLY. Things like coffee tables, entertainment consoles, cabinets, and bar stools are all on clearance for your gaming needs. Check brickseek before going to see if your store is offering deals yet, as two of ours are already and we made out like bandits on a few items. GL!

I didn't know Threshold was getting clearanced out, but I bought a house last year and have been waiting to pick up some stuff like bar stools on the cheap. Grabbed three of them for like $32.98 each a couple weeks ago. Grabbed some mirrors and other decorative crap for 70% off too.

Okay I'm just now hearing about these figpins and they are cool. And based on CaptainJoel's post it seems like only some Target stores have gotten them? A brickseek search near me shows only two have the Mass Effect ones, but they're way too far away. Would those stores be the only ones with any figpins or could some stores have gotten others? I need more DPCI's ASAP! Searching figpin on brickseek gives no results.

Only One generic DCPI for the entire series, so those stores you see them at on Brickseek are likely the only ones that will have them since they're being clearanced. I think it may only be the higher end Targets that got them in stock. My Targets don't carry any sorts of pins at all outside of the cheap looking buttons in the superhero/Star Wars/Harry Potter backend of the DVDs. Brickseek shows 16% of Target stores have them in stock. Shocked that it's such a low number.

According to Brickseek, there are over 30 of the Mass Effect FiGPiNs (really, that's how you're going to spell your brand?) at the closest Target at the $3.88 price point.

I might swing over later today. Assuming they aren't counting some box in the back nobody can find, I would be willing to pick up a few extra if anyone is interested for cost + shipping.

Target is re branding their Threshold brand and clearance out a bunch of stuff (Rugs, Home Decor, Home Storage, and Furniture). I picked up a white coffee table for $48 regular $150. Store I went to had random stuff marked as clearance wasn't everything.

Also SD/Micro SD Cards are on clearance.

I meant DPCI for any other series than ME. Or is that all they carry?
 
Just an FYI if you're having trouble finding the furniture clearance: most stores have it back by their Halloween display, sitting on shelves and back walls. There are some deals still in their main decor showroom, as it were, but those are not the bulk of the clearance.

I recently got a Target catalog (for Red Card members) in the mail that contained a coupon for a free $10 gift card with $10 Home or Apparel purchase. Sounds like these clearance items would qualify for the coupon.

It looks like all of the View Master stuff is on clearance for at least 50% (and up to 70%) off, and I can confirm that there are a lot of home decor and back-to-school items for clearance in the seasonal section of the stores by all the new Halloween stuff.

You've got to be kidding me. I literally just bought a Threshold shelf for my consoles but I paid full price. I don't even mind that but it's the accessories that really ate away my wallet. Should I return and wait for a clearance sale?

Maybe go back to store and see if they've marked the item down or check Brickseek. If the price has changed I would do a return/rebuy off the shelf or ask about price adjustment.
 
must be quickest 70% markdown or shadiest pricing ever, Gear Fit 2 went down to 70% off in the morning at one Target but reverted back to full price just now.....not INF, not 50%, full msrp!!! BS and Target app still show new markdown.

We'll see if the stock count drops to 0 even at msrp. Hate to think some shady shit with employee fixing price to keep clearance stuffs for themselves.

Your store might be betting on the longer lasting value of the "Target exclusive" Stickers inside the game. I'm uncertain if they are there "just because" or if they are for sticking on the console <shudder>. If I had kids I would probably just give it to them to stick on their stuff instead.

Crosses fingers that the game will be good for date night tonight.

 
For those of you who got Puyo Puyo Tetris, did it have the typical Y-fold plastic wrap or shrinkwrap?  I found one at my local Target and it was shrinkwrapped.  If that's not how it normally comes, then I'm inclined to think it was opened and then returned, which is why I didn't get it.

All the ones I found were shrinkwraped. Not sure if it was open to specifically put the stickers in and then re-wrapped, but everything looked perfectly fine on my copy.
