Tatsunoko Vs Capcom to NA confirmed?!

i just buy it from amazon with gaming credit because the cards cool are most likely not get gamestop with preorder it withit the two weeks definitely like to save money instead
I know people might disagree with my statement and that's cool.

But I've been thinking since playing the japanese version it feels like Marvel vs. Capcom 1.5. It's fast but not overally fast MvC 2. Which is some ways I like. It feels like I can keep up with the game moreso, then MvC 2.(I still love it the game but it can get crazy fast).

The thing that gets me excited is the online mode. I don't expect to it to be 360 or PS3 quality but at least matches will play smoothly for the most part.

Maybe I'm wrong about this but Capcom has kept the online in the dark which sort of worries me a little. I still have faith, but with how other online wii games, well for fighters brawl, but I'm not quite sure that is a fair example since it's made by Nintendo. Hopefully Capcom will come out with some good networking code.
I think you are pretty dead on with saying it is a Marvel 1.5.

I wouldn't worry to much about the online play, this seems to their flag ship game to test the net code they will be using for their online games. With MH3 coming out soon I would think ( and hope ) they spent some time on it to get it a lot better than what others have done with their online games for the Wii.

On top of that they have taken out most ( not all, or not comfirmed yet ) of the looping that was in the JPN version so that is a big plus.

I have the blue and white Hori stick for Wii and it is very cheap. Nothing at all like Hori sticks for other consoles. I would say it's not worth the $50. I got it awhile ago to play GG Accent Core.

I'm thinking about getting the Madcatz stick, does anyone know if that has real Sanwa buttons and stick?

Actually it's slightly higher quality, if initial reports are to be believed. Sort of an inbetween with the SE and TE.

I want one. Will have to find a way to get it cheap.

If this is not released on PS3 / 360, Capcom will not get my money. I just can't imagine playing this with a Wii-mote. No thanks. I have a TE Mad Catz stick for PS3 and that's how the game should be played.

How many soccer games will buy this to go along with their Wii fit and cooking games?

Can I do a dragon punch like Ryu with a wii remote or a Hadouken with my hands then this will show up on the screen? Haha! Seriously...

If it's highly successful, then it will more than likely be ported over to other systems.

This was the cheapest and easiest way for Capcom to put this game out because the original arcade hardware is extremely similar to the Wii. On a title like this, they needed to reduce their risk.

I love the outpouring of "IT OUGHTA BE ON THE HD TWINS!" bullshit that shows up every time a game happens to come out that's Wii exclusive. Turn it around and people would still be just as console militant asinine, double standard card carrying idiots talking about how "The Wii doesn't deserve ______ on it, for any number of reasons only us internets people can understand and faf around about."

Boy, you sure dropped that uncaring attitude quick the moment Megaman wants to rumble with Frank West. Be sure to come back in a week talking about how you now totally don't care again because "the game sucks, I totally played it at my buddy's house and we decided to just play [PS360 game here] instead."

Bottom line: Shut the fuck up if you're just going to be an idiot about this. It's not on your system, get over it. It might show up later, get over it. I want Katamari but I'm not going into the threads around here just to bitch.

For a bunch of jaded Wii hating groupies, all of you sure have your periods synced up.

I would actually go the other way with this, and hope that if TvC does well (and there does appear to be some buzz), SSFIV ends up ported to Wii. I think that would actually sell very very well.

@ Strell's rant:

It would be nice if this game were eventually released on the other two systems primarily because both have a larger fighting game fan-base (speculated solely from the 2009 fighting game releases... SF4, BB, MvC2, T6...). Personally, I'd also like it better on a system where I can talk to my friends if I am doing a player match. Nintendo fails at online vocal communication.

That said, I am already aware of why this game was released for the Wii. I was tempted to import this before it was announced that it was going to be locallized. I'll pick it up on Wii, hopefully SL4IN will too, and we can all beat the living shit out of each other when we next get together.

Unfortunately, I do not forsee playing this game online a lot because I have a better stick for my 360 (and the aforementioned fighting games to play with) and I like being able to talk to, and hang out with, my friends when I do player matches. This game will just have to spark a revival in going over to friends' places.

You know there are sticks, plus converters for the Wii right( the game also supports pad players )? Really if you want to troll the Wii threads put some damn effort into it, at least make a cock joke shit.

I work with this soccer game who, if you ask it, will totally talk your ear off about the whole "vs." series. It's buying this game on day one.

Piss off, you.

preordered today...super excited :) Not sure if I want to order the stick or not... I've got 2 sticks for 360 and 1 for ps3... I bought a classic controller today, just in case I don't order one.

friend bought it on Friday (Gamestop). It's pretty good but I have to admit that we did find ourselves playing the mini games more than the actual game

Do I smell Nintendo fanboy?

Oasis, just because someone likes something doesn't make him a fanboy.

Man.... I don't know if I should preorder this today or just hold out for a price drop in the future (I already have the original Japanese version and I'm going to be busy with Star Trek Online for a while).

And what did I say that made me sound like a fanboy? You made dumbass comments and I corrected you on them. If you took the time to even look though this thread I have been the one bitching about how broken the JPN version of this game is. Reading comprehension is a skill you should really work on.

You should pick it up Bomber, if not this is what you will get each time I see you on.

I'm going to gamestop to see if they have the cards in yet. They usually get the pre-order items in early. Maybe the game too.

It feels like this thread went downhill a tad. I dunno about others but i've owned the jap version for over a year a now and I've been using the classic controller and my hori arcade stick. I understand people taking jabs for capcom not bringing the game to the hd consoles. But seriously, the only time you use a wiimote is play to minigames to earn points to unlock stuff.

Anyways I'm wondering if there will be a cag trading thread for the trading cards that come with the gamestop pre-orders. Any takers???

The online is, simply put, REALLY bad. I played with a buddy in florida, we usually play SF4 on ps3 all the time, and simply put, it was an unplayable mess. If you are thinking of getting this for online gaming, wait till it hits bargain bin (which will be lightning fast considering the netcode is insanely bad).

I've heard that the online for Tatsunoko is between SSBB (some say is the worst for online..?) and Mario Kart Wii (best). In other words, there is some lag, but not too bad. I look forward to trying the game for myself.

You told me to make my comments into "cock joke shit." That's a sign of a fanboy when they get mad as hell and starts with cursing right away.

Additionally, you get all defensive on this post and "how you corrected me". What did you correct me on? That I cannot make hadoukens with a wii-remote and my hands? I was just making a simple joke and the fanboys right away jump on me.

Also, I don't have time to read 6 - 7 pages of comments. Reading comprehension is not an issue for me. FYI, I am working on my MBA at Penn State.

Ok, enough of my rants, go ahead and enjoy the game.

This is why the game should be released on 360 or PS3... If SF4 can handle online well, then why the same cannot be said about this game on the Wii?

Listen, I can tolerate people who have different view points, but this thread has seemed to devolve into "It should be on a better system WAH" and "It's fine on the current system exclusive WAH!". Yes I know I'm exaggerating the view points

So it's on the Wii big deal. It's not the end of the world.

I'm going to buy the game tomorrow and enjoy it, online and offline! Yes that means I may have to go over to friends place with my Wii, I don't know what kind of person I am thinking that!

They should encourage Wii owners to buy it. If it tanks, don't expect to see a sequel in the states.

I'm picking mine up at midnight :D

It was one guy's post. Don't say the thread devolved just because one dude has a dumb idea.

Let's all just settle this with some 2 on 2.

Doesn't matter if you can play on a 360,Wii, or PS 3 hell even the virtual boy. I wanna see some Yatterman 1 and Ryu v. Gold Lightan...... it will be epic.

Heck I'll let anybody play as G.Lightan as a freebie. ;)

I got my copy early! English version is the way to go, now if only I could find the FAQs to unlock the new characters in the US version. I want to play Zero damn it. Also Frank West(?) isn't unlocked yet. I'm not sure who else is in the game, but it's still fun even after giving the JPN version a long break.

If only they would've brought this to the next gen consoles and made it with SFIV graphics. That's the only downside I see in this game. Also, I have no clue about any Tatsunoko characters. They obviously had a big part in Speed Racer.

For Frank West

Finish the game (get the final hit on the boss) with three separate Capcom characters

For Zero

Finish the game (get the final hit on the boss) with six separate Capcom characters.

For Tekkaman Blade

Finish the game (get the final hit on the boss) with three separate Tatsunoko characters.

For Joe the Condor

Finish the game (get the final hit on the boss) with six separate Tatsunoko characters.

Did you also figure out how to unlock yatterman 2 yet??

They said she wasn't too hard to unlock in the gamespot video.

I hooked up my Wii last night, put some fresh batteries in all my controllers, setup the wireless network connection, upgraded all my channels, etc.

My Wii has been in a box since I moved in April 09. This is the game that finally got me to hook it up.

It's time to reconnect with my Wii and give it some quality time and love. =D

Just purchased my copy on my break. I must say I am really excited to get home and pop this bad boy in. I've played the JP version many times; conventions and whatnot, and know what to expect. This game may replace MVC2 as my current most played fighting game.

I know it's tempting. I picked this up on my lunch break today and I can't play it until I get done working on a laptop. Damn me and having priorities LOL.

Hopefully the online play stays around for a long time (1 year - 1 year and a half), since I might just wait for this to lower in price before I purchase it.

So yeah, how's the game so far?

Arrggh! How I hate Capcom game bosses. Was enjoying the game until I got to the Arcade single player boss. I hate you Capcom, and your cheap bosses!!!!

Blame SNK, they seem to have permanently borrowed that from the VS SNK series.
