Terminator: TSCC... TERMINATED BY The T-FOX!

It would be incredibly akward being butt ass naked with an incredibly hot (although robotic) chick and your mom.
.

And who cares what the "reviewers" say, plus I don't belive them. I doubt they were shown all 9 episodes, so yet again they are speaking from their asses.

I was gonig to edit it to make it more clear, but it is already clear. You people just can't fucking read.
speaking of not being able to read...the reviewers loved the first 4, but were concerned that it could get repetitive...they never claimed to see past episode 4.

I'm kinda skeptical right now. Seems like the entire series is just going to be the repetition of:

1. New Terminator sent to kill John
2. John & Company escape by the skin of their teeh
3. Confrontation with the FBI agent followed by another escape.

Rinse & Repeat, then somewhere near the end, the FBI agent will help John & Co, getting killed by a Terminator in the process.

*edit*

Yea, thats gotta be akward, naked with a hot robot and your mom...

Hmmm in widescreen/hd where available... yet we get full screen ...bah.. yet the dvd will most likely be in wide screen :) The Terminator HUD's don't look that great. My guess is that each terminator series has different HUD's. Anyone notice how when Sara blew up the terminator, the head blew off from the body and went to the side forward? I wonder if the body and head stayed behind somewhat intact for reverse engineering?

Eh, I stumbled arcoss it for about the last 35 mins. Nothing really impressive. Other than the cloth chair that stops bullets of course.

Yeah, that gut a groan out of me, as well.

When the cops are checking out the apartment after the shootout they mention the chair had Kevlar in it.

If she took the time to make a new wall, don't you think that she'd think about lining a chair with bullet-proof vests?
When the cops are checking out the apartment after the shootout they mention the chair had Kevlar in it.
Good, I'm glad I didn't just imagine that.

Dammit I forgot about this and only caught the last 10 minutes.

So
they're travelling in time now, where did they start from
?

Off topic, this Family Guy is pretty funny.

I really wonder how they are going to survive living "off the grid" in 2007. They have been detected (thanks to that kid with the cell phone camera). Now the terminators know where and when to find them.
maybe I misheard but didnt they go to 1990? how did someone have a camera phone back then?
They went back to 2007 I think. I can't imagine what kind of cavemen used to live back then.

It seems really weak to me.

They went FORWARD to the present, 2007. The pilot started off in the year 1999.

Try to pay attention people! :D
Just wondering how John managed to keep his schlong in check when they got teleported.
Naked Mom helped
Naked Mom helped
Indeed. But he was standing waaaaaaay to close to her in that one scene...

Sad thing is the terminator is a chick soley for sex appeal. She'll probably end up half naked in every episode. No modesty being an android and all.
It seems really weak to me.
Each to their own I suppose, I thought it was better than some of the other recent ones.

Back on topic though from the 10 mins I saw it looked ok, I'll probably watch tomorrow.
River Tam is a Terminator... really?
the-sarah-connor-chronicles-20070725040924749.jpg

Yep...and the Alliance is looking for her :p
She's just wierd enough to fit the role.
You know I just sat here and thought about this for a minute...thinking back to how she portrayed River in Firefly. Terminators are suppose to be cold, emotional-less, effective killing machines...yet this one has emotions, er programmed to mimic emotions more realistically. What's the purpose of that? She's already found the Conner's.

It's good to see that the makers of the show either didn't watch the original Terminator movies, or just really hated them, because this was just stupid. I suppose most of what I'm gonna say is spoilers from this episode.

John Connor from T2 would not have turned into that much of a bitch. He knows what he needs to do. Terminator 2 ended with him basically having come to terms with his destiny.

Sarah Connor is supposed to be a fugly militant asshole, not some soccer mom acting like she's hunting for the guy who hit and run after the big game. Sarah Connor from T2 would have pulled that bullet out of her shoulder with her teeth and hidden it in her mouth to spit at the Terminator when it came back. The character isn't supposed to be some mini-skirt wearing, cleavage-showing gun model. There's plenty of porn for stuff like that, leave Sarah Connor the way she's supposed to be. And am I the only one bothered by the fact that the guy she was going to marry looked way too much like Robert Patrick(the guy who played the T-1000 in T2) for her to be comfortable with?

Why would Skynet have sent back a lower model Terminator? They never bothered explaining why an old T-800 was sent to do the job instead of a T-1000 or some other superior model. This also brings up the question of how did the resistance get a hold of a "superior" model Terminator than what Skynet sent back? This is assuming that giving the need to eat and having emotions makes what is supposed to be an unstoppable killing machine "superior". I took the blue eye flash to mean that she was the same model of machine that was used in Terminator 3. And yes I know that this show is a ret-con of T3.

Then there's the absurdity of having put together the time machine in the bank vault. The plan they tried to pass off as reasonable was absolutely ridiculous. The resistance had sent back in time enough scientists to scavenge parts that, when put together, could make a time machine? If they have that many incredible, resourceful scientists to spare, the war against the machines shouldn't be all that tough.

There were so many stupid plot holes in this pilot that really had better be addressed. In fact, I would be fine as long as they don't ignore the Terminator corpse left behind in 1999. There was that whole Terminator 2 movie where they went through all that trouble to destroy any Terminator technology in the present day so it couldn't be analysed, and Sarah would not be fine with just jumping into a portal and leaving the key to starting all this shit in a bank vault that's going to get investigated by any and all authorities. There's also that time machine constructed from parts found in the present day that they left in that bank vault. And that nuclear gun or whatever that was. Oops.

I'm willing to give the show a chance, as I'm a big Terminator fan, but if the rest of the series is like this pilot, I hope it gets cancelled after these 9 episodes. Far better shows have gotten canceled in recent months than this...thing.

yea I am going to give it a chance too... As long as they don't time travel every week, or start an episode naked and running around looking for clothes.

If the show does progress, I can see a few things like time traveling to another alternate reality (a two parter/cliff hanger?)..perhaps a guest appearance by a non terminator Kristina Lokin?

It's really not that hard to follow. They said 1999 in the begging and showed the sign at the end TWO times!

And to the people complaining about the movies. It's time travel, it doesn't have to follow movies, and even the movie people change things so listen up or don't watch.

it's like complaining that Enterprise wasn't following history instead of just saying it was a bad TV show and moving on.

hey I liked Enterprise. It's too bad it got the shaft :(

The show didn't have as much fluidity as I would've liked. On that note i'll watch the next and keep following. If it doesn't pick up i'll cash out.

I have to agree with the prior posters. If they try to push any of this bullshit upon Connor that she is not supposed to be i'll back off. I don't want any feminization of Terminator.

I agree with Magehart, One more episode and then I'll make a decision. I was rather disappointed with the acting...action was cool tho.
hey I liked Enterprise. It's too bad it got the shaft :(
Especially after the excellent season 4.
Especially after the excellent season 4.
Not to hijack my own thread but, to have Enterprise canceled because of the new people in charge of Paramount/CBS, the fact that they couldn't keep up with the ratings juggernaut called "Smallville" at the time and a failed fan campaign to move it to the Sci-Fi channel/fan funded support was truly sad.

I never got a chance to see Firefly in it's original run because I was usually out with my gf on Friday nights when it aired. Didn't pick up the dvd series until Summer of 2006 when it was cheap at CC.

I don't think it will be the ratings that will kill the show, but the current writers strike that will prevent the show from growing into more episodes, unless FOX can make a deal quickly, those few episodes are going to be here before we know it.

what sucked about enterprise (i think it was the final season)

they kept pushing

THE TIME WARS HAVE BEGUN......

the time wars only lasted 1 show. Now if it lasted the entire season i thinki that would been very interesting. BUt pushing something and then just having 1 show have that plot was just very lame

*Puts on his star trek nerd cap*... It's Temporal Cold War!!!
Enterprise was great.
It was ok.

What was up with the episode at the end where they went all retro.

I've only seen about 4 episodes and whenever it's on TV it's either the evil Data creating genetically enhanced asshole kids or it's themed ST:TOS. Those ST:TOS themed episodes were mighty stupid.

I really tried hard to watch the first episode all the way through..

But I couldnt.. too excited for Rock of Love 2 and new family guy.. -_-V
The ratings for last night's premiere is in!

It's either because

A. There was nothing else to watch and this was as close to something *fresh* since the strike.

B. It was either that or the boring Golden Globe News Show.

C. People actually were looking forward to this.
Or D...

It followed an exiciting football game and people saw the promos during it.
