Terminator: TSCC... TERMINATED BY The T-FOX!

Poissble and major spoilers if there's a season 3:

In the future where John time travel there is no John Connor and the head of the resistance is Derek Reese. This is according to Brian Austin Green. I was surprise that he let it slip or was able to talk about it during an interview on a podcast.

Um, we already learned that at the end of the last episode.

Well only thing that we didn't know is that Derek was the leader of the resistance and that really isn't all that odd. However I wonder what happend to Elison, Sarah, Dyson's son and Savana.
So we find out next Monday if this gets renewed?
That's what they say. That's also the day Fox announce their Fall lineup.
Well, it's official. Terminator:TSCC is canceled.

No surprise, really. The producers and writers clearly didn't know where this show was going for the majority of the season. Factor that in along with what was most likely a very expensive production budget and it really didn't stand much of a chance.
I'm still waiting for official announcement from Fox tommorrow. The show just might comeback midseason like Season 2 was meant to be.

That is official. Ausiello is as reputable as it gets. If he says it's official then he got it directly from a knowledgeable Fox source.

Looks like others are confirming it too (unless they are only looking at EW also)...to the point that Warner isn't even attempting to put it on another network. Oh well.

Ausiello isn't as reputable as you think. Ausiello annouced TSCC wasn't going to get renewed after season one, also Ausiello said the rest of season 2 wasn't going to get ordered. Wait until Fox make an official announcement.

Bummer. Oh well...I just hope the new movie makes for it. I'm also pretty bummed Life was canceled, I really liked that show.

To be fair, Fox releases the Fall schedule tomorrow, but really that's only a few hours of living in denial. Sorry, I really do like the show and was hoping to see it continue. At least Dollhouse is getting another go.

Look at the glass half full.

The TV show was 20+ hours of advertising for the movie over the last two years.

The TV show had written itself into a huge hole with the second season finale and a third season may have ruined the franchise.

What a crock--listen to this statement by Fox:

Fox: Sarah Connor Chronicles has been officially canceled. "[Sarah Connor] has completed its run," Fox entertainment president Kevin Reilly confirmed at a press conference this morning. "I think it had a nice little run. It was a good show. It was not an either or [with Dollhouse]. We did see it tailing off a bit [in the ratings]. It had a nice creative core, but, ultimately, we made the bet on Dollhouse, so that's it for [Sarah Connor]... We make no apologies. We gave it a lot of support and some consistent scheduling. We tried and thought it was time to move on."

They gave it "alot of support" ?!?!? Fox can go fuck themselves.

Bwhahahahahahha!

uh oh... that means early screenings for Terminator: Salvation must not be good that makes FOX a bit worried enough to cancel the show. So when does the SAVESARAH or any other save TSSCC site go up? any minute now huh?

And like the other poster said, I too am done with FOX.

Nah, the TV series has been floundering in the target demographic for a while now. It was just a metrics game for Fox.

That said, I'm not too keen on seeing the movie in the theater since the "real" cut could be on disc instead (unless Fox pulls another Die Hard on it). I want my nekkid Moon Bloodgood dammit. :p

Please explain.

Sorry, we're referring to the Terminator Salvation movie: McG's cut has some nude and other more "intense" action parts deserving of an "R" rating, but Fox wants the teen dollar and removed those scenes to get a PG-13.

Smart move on Fox's part. Terminator isn't about titties.

Eh, every Terminator movie had nudity of sorts as part of the canon (you can't time travel with your clothes for whatever reason). I imagine Moon's nude scenes were no more or less than Kristanna Loken's. Keep in mind that the PG-13 cut is not just about cutting nudity as that rating can support certain levels of nudity at the board's discretion.

You see Moon's brests thats all from what I understand. Also they cut some scenes that just didn't fit. they also cut out a scene where marcus stabbed some one with a scredriver and had another version of the ending that they had to change part of. Atleast that is what has been said online only that ending is different then what I have heard McG say in an interview. So I really don't think the ending that was cut is real unless they saw how dumb it was and how much it shit all over the series and they cut it. Also Fox would have had nothing to do with the film other then being owned by WB.

As for SCC I'm done with fox. I never watched it much anyway. I would have the tv on for dollhouse and watch it here and their but didn't really keep up with it. Only had it on because nothing else was on in the time after Terminator:SCC and before BSG. So unless they bring back SCC no more fox for me. Not even fox news.

Also here is a video of Thomas Dekker trying to save the show like some other fans. Found on terminatorfiles.com

Also I don't know where I saw it but I want to say it was in the forums for terminatorfiles.com or hell maybe I saw it in this thread and I'm just saying it again but Friedman has said that it is fox or nothing. So if it is up to him we wont see this again on scifi or any place else.

It's sad their canceling this show. It was about the only thing I watched on fox. Just that and the animated stuff on Sunday. I never got into 24 and I don't like the reality crap they put on.

I'm starting to wonder if this was all just to get the Terminator name back out there. It was 2003 last we had anything new for the series. However Rise of the Machines was crap unless Kristanna Loken was on screen. I do think that Nick Stahl played John Connor well but think Edward Furlong was the better and wish it would have been him. So 6 years is a long time and when atleast 50% of the people that saw the last movie hated it you chances are will need something to get the name back out.

Fox and WB knew what they were doing. The writer strike did not help at all and from what I read some of the episodes from season one were pushed back to season 2. Then they had was only 9-13 episodes for season 2 and mid season they were given another 10+. So they had to write more episodes to fill in all of what they were given. I'm sure they had some already done and if I remember correctly they did have some already wrote that were sent in to be aproved so they could shoot them. So that is where some of the filler came in and most of the filler episodes were crap. I think fox in some way wanted this to fail due to the fact that it got the terminator name back out there even though the second season was mostly crap.

So to sum it all up I'm just wondering if the was really just to get the terminator name back out in the open for the movie. Now that the movie is coming out no need to get it back out there. I'm sure the fans of the movies would have known about it but some that have not seen the movies might not have. However this is stretching it big time.

EDIT: If people do send in pancakes I wonder if they will be premade or the box to make them. Me I would be tempted to send just the powder with a note telling them to make them their self and I would chances are try and send them the oldest box of pancake mix I can get.

You guys shouldn't be pissed at Fox, be pissed at the producers and writers. They're the ones to blame. They put out a crap show with bad writing which drew terrible ratings. The concept of Terminator works, but definitely not in the way it was presented this last season. Terminator, IMO, just can't work on TV in the long run. All 3 T movies have been chase movies. You can't do that in episodic TV and maintain momentum. Just be glad you got as much of it as you did.

Eh, I dunno. Quality of writing aside, my understanding was the show wasn't doing that bad overall in the ratings, but it simply wasn't hitting the numbers in the demographic Fox wanted. They are still trying to cater to a specific gender/age group with their programming, and right or wrong that is what ultimately killed the show, IMO.

All the schadenfreude spewing assholes who hated/never watched TSCC are coming out of the woodwork. Wish they'd fuck off.

The move to Fridays is what killed it. Incredibly stupid given how young and urban the viewership skewed. I hope Dollhouse viewers don't get similarly screwed over.

The move to Friday certainly didn't help but it's unrealistic to think that airing on another night would have kept it from getting canceled. Once you realize the quality of the show was substandard you'll understand. BTW, can I be considered one of "the schadenfreude spewing assholes who hated/never watched TSCC"? Please?

Well, the second season went something like 13 episodes on Mondays with 27% less viewership than the previous season. It's no surprise Fox moved it out of that schedule, and I think it's not realistic to think that Fox didn't give it a chance. It was somewhat of a surprise to even get a second season.

This really sucks ass. Seeing some of the fucking garbage that Fox is bringing back yet this show is gone really pisses me off. Even though certain episodes weren't quite as good as others, when TSCC was good it was REALLY good.

King of the Hill being canceled and now I find this out. I also can't believe Fox is giving Seth MacFarlane a third show. Guess they are riding that ADD demographic (American Dad is a decent show though).

Thats what Friedman had said on the season one DVD. It was the biggest issue they faced to make an hour and a half or so chase movie into a TV show that would be an hour long each week. I never expected it to last more then 3 seasons. 4 would have been pushing it and after that just milking it. Then when season 2 went to crap I was really hoping for a 3rd season or atleast for them to end it. The way the 2nd season ended has me pissed that the show ended. Fox could atleast let them have 9 or so episodes to end the series during the off season. That way fox can still put on all of its new shows and atleast give the fans of this show an ending.

I will miss this show. I am not really sure what I will watch on FOX now. The Simpsons are ok I guess, but other than that, with King of the Hill and T: TSCC going and gone, I will be watching other networks.
Wha... American Dad decent? oy.
I thought the same thing when I read that. I guess decent is a highly subjective adjective.

Yes, yes, ... WAT

I prefer American Dad better than Family Guy (which annoys the **** out of me), that is my reasoning for calling it decent, although not a great reason. Simpsons will could never be replaced, now it is pretty much the only thing I'll be watching on Fox.

edit:

Forgot about Dollhouse (even though I catch it on Hulu usually), I'm a fan of Whedon.
